Bruce is the founder of JKD, not MMA, also there are before MMA arts which have various tecniques, such as Hapkido, Nippon Kempo, Sanda, Kajukenbo, Sambo, Kudo itself.
He trained for street fight and real, not combat sport.

Couldn't agree more, just like the video creator put it, Donnie Yen's body is not stable and has a lot of movement, you can notice from the shaking of his head, unlike Bruce Lee's body is so stable and he makes it so effortless to strike. It makes this video looks like a comparison between Pure Brute Force vs Silent Yet Deadly. I think this is due to Bruce's outstanding core strength that enabled him to achieve this kind of feat. Donnie Yen could never replicate Bruce Lee's core strength even if Donnie admired Bruce a lot. Donnie looks like a tryhard clown at 2:48 just to demonstrate his speed but Bruce made it so easy, elegant, and effortless, he didn't even need to charge his body to generate that kind of speed.

Unfair man, Lee haven't really practise fast punch and fast kicks yet at this age 24, there still have more Lee fastest kicks video at his age nearly 30

I just love it how the movieguy cannot help reacting, but doesn't move till after Bruce's hand or foot is long gone.
However, even though Donnie Yen is not as fast as Bruce, 0.2 seconds for this finger jab with the hand moving all the way from the hip is actually good. With the hands in a boxing stance a jab doesn't even travel half the distance and yet even good boxers will be seen moving the hand forward in two frames of a normal PAL video which is 25 fps. That means that the hand is travelling at least 0.08 second over a lot less than half the distance. When you watch heavier boxers the jab will usually be seen moving in three frames.
Yen is just as fast if not faster than bruce. Those who worked with bruce and later worked with yen says he is the upgrade of bruce.

It was a good attempt for what you had. But Donnie Yen through a much harder punch and in combination. Bruce Lee throw a quick slap. Same with the kick. Bruce Lee threw an extended knee kick. Meaning he put his leg up and then just flex the knee like a jab kick. Donny gave almost a full round house kick with much more force. So you have to take into consideration the force behind the kick not just a speed. But there’s not many people that don’t think master speed of Bruce Lee Or Donny
Jet Li, like bruce was told to slow down while filming Leathai weapon 4, camera couldn't catch his speed, I'm sure the same with yen. Speed is the kick or punch that knocks out because of the hidden power behind it, still BL taught them HOW!!!!!

Donnie Yen himself said how much he admired Bruce Lee and never compared himself. I love Donnie Yen. Bruce Lee will forever remain the giant of all time. It opened the doors for every martial arts film to date. He was an incredible fighter. He will always be in my heart. He is unrivaled. Died very young, I believe he would have produced unthinkable films and performances for us, as his talent was unimaginable and his spirit went hand in hand. This legend that surrounds him is nothing but truth. Bruce is second to none. And I regret it infinitely. Also, I think that as a martial art, respecting Donnie who is Chinese, is not to prove that he is stronger than Bruce Lee. He has too much respect for Bruce Lee. I still watch Bruce Lee films today. What an extraordinary fighter. RESPECT Bruce Lee. Peace

It was a very ridiculous movie and a bad comparison because you had set up Bruce Lee's movie in such a way that he hits a few hundredths of a second earlier than you do, well the result is clear, but about the blow that hits the opponent's eye with his hand, you know the range of motion. Yen is wider, Yen's hand is close to his body and throws the punch while Bruce's hand is in the air ready to punch, well the result is that Bruce seems to be faster. The story is that Bruce didn't even become a master in Wing Chun, who invented the Ji Ken Do style, and this is a sign of his impatience and, of course, his intelligence, but Donnie Yen started martial arts earlier than Bruce, and in several different styles from Karate, Tai Chi, Muay Thai, Northern Kung Fu which he learned in Shaolin, Jujitsu, Jit Ken Do and of course Taekwondo he had reached full mastery. I have a simple question for Bruce Lee fans, is there a picture in a picture or a movie of yours? Have you seen that Bruce Lee opened his leg 180 degrees? This shows that Bruce was never a perfect martial artist, of course I'm a fan of his, but I like the truth more than him.
