What a season. Tom Brady is the MVP of the team. This dude comes and in ONE year, no training camp, no OTAs, they all learn each other within the YEAR and this fool gets us to a Superbowl victory. Todd Bowles and that defense did straight work. Amazing when you dont throw 30 interceptions what a team can do. What a season. I will never forget this team. Never.
Defense actually had time to rest this year. It is an incredible accomplishment but I knew he'd be able to do it with that roster
I didn't realize that Tampa put on with this Winston for "five" years. How Bruce kept this team together and Boles convinced the Defense to to play 60 minutes of the game
is a miracle. Imagine on defense you come off the field sit down only to get up 5 minutes later and go back out there. They should have scouted high school QB's to do the job.
I just noticed Bucs has the most coolest helmets among all teams.
The pewter helmets before were even better.

As a Pats fan, I've watched every Bucs game this season as well as the past season to see how the players perform under Brady vs Winston. I must say I've been very impressed with the Bucs and have been supporting them all season. Brady will always be special to Pats fans. Go Bucs!

Life time Bucs fan here and to be honest, this one felt more special than the first one. The first was Gruden winning with Dungy's guys, but this one was built by BA and felt great to see.
It’s Jason Licht’s team more than anyone. Evans, David, Godwin, Shaq Barrett, JPP and others predated Arians. Licht convinced BA to come out of retirement and coach. Finally Licht and Arians got Brady to come to Tampa, and Brady recruited Fournette and Gronk and AB. Arians is a really good coach but it’s a stretch to say he built the team.
Also Gruden never gets any credit for retooling the offense his first year because everyone in Tampa still has a raging boner for the 1997 Bucs. Dungy rightly gets credit for the defense, but they would not have won the first title if not for guys like McCardell, Jurevicius, Pittman, even Roman Oben and Kerry Jenkins and Ken Dilger.
@@untexan This is a fantastic comment. You are spot-fucking-on. Dungy was amazing in that he changed the culture and built that defense. But he was stubborn about offense and could never get it right. Gruden was not as consistent a coach as Dungy, but he DID completely revamp that offense, not only adding the pieces you mentioned, but also switching from a "Power O" to the West Coast Offense, which worked way better with the undersized offensive line we had.
It's funny that Licht almost 100% would've gotten fired if Arians hadn't been the coach and insisted on working with him. Very VERY rare that GMs last through three head coaches.
Both Super Bowls feel amazing; I wouldn't say this is better than the first. You can only have your first once. Like Tom Brady says, the best Super Bowl is "the next one".

Offense scored 31 points in 3 quarters against Spagnuolos defense that averaged 22 points in the playoffs. So saying defense is the “real” mvp implies that they carried the other parts of the team and that’s not fair in my opinion. Bucs Offense had to fight against a healthy Chiefs Defense, while Bucs Defense had to fight a injured Chiefs Offense with 3 back up Oline men.
If you want to search for the definition of a “team victory” you only have to watch this game.

@@codyvandal2860 Also a high snap that killed a drive and forced Bucs to a field goal in the 3rd quarter. Then the 4th quarter was just about killing the clock. Everywhere I look everybody is praising the defense and they should, but the performance from the offense is also underrated. Incredible team win.

i started watching the bucs at age 3, when josh freeman was the lead man, and they've been my favorite team ever since. i've always been loyal to them, yet so miserable for years. but now, WE'RE HERE!! WE DID IT!!!! i'm such a happy person.

As a GB fan it's suck it had to be the Bucs to knock us off our high horse- twice, but it showed who the better team was. Congrats on the bowl, I've been following this channel for a few years now and I know you must've been pretty tired having to go through all those years of mediocracy. Enjoy it!

Good luck next year. I honestly would have loved to have Aaron Rodgers as TB's QB. I'm first and foremost an FSU fan and to know that Aaron Rodgers would have loved to be a Seminole is bittersweet. I have nothing but respect for the man. He deserves 3 rings and I hope he gets them.

The Bucs have been worse than mediocrity for a long time. I am a semi-bandwagoner or a filthy casual because I gradually stopped following them after they stopped drafting FL talent. I never rooted against them and I'd always be happy if they won, but I can't say I followed them or the NFL soon after Josh Freeman took over in the late 20 00s. Back in the 1990s it was mostly local kids in Tampa. Then they won the Super Bowl and slowly broke up the greatest team they ever had. I didn't recognize the Bucs without Brooks or Barber on defense. Then they took the best uniforms in the NFL and made them dumber in 2014 or so. Best thing about this season before the Super Bowl was bringing back the championship unis and not that visual diarrhea. Still don't like the all pewter, either. We don't need to emulate the Browns' jerseys.

This team is really amazing with offense and defense.
Buccaneers are Super bowl champions and we did it on our home turf.
Yes they found their real offense by the end of Week 12.
But the turning point in their season was the AB touchdown in Week 15 to Atlanta.
This team had great offensive depth 💯.
Yes people that Falcons score isn't wrong. Hard to believe the defense went from that to shutting out Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs from getting 0 TDs in the superbowl. Taylor Heinike seems to be the only QB in the playoffs to have success against that Bucs defense.
And that was because they practice that week to face Alex Smith. If anything it showed how versatile this team has become.

No way were the Chiefs overconfident for this game. They were dejected, and Chiefs fans knew it as soon as they deplaned. Fact is, they were negatively impacted by Coach Reid's plight that day and it showed. The Chiefs are caring people; the team is family. Timing, decision-making, and passion all suffered because of it.
Chiefs will have the last laugh. In the future, no one will remember Tom's play in Super Bowl 55. Instead, we'll be watching clips of Patrick Mahomes' spectacular throws which will endure as long as football is played. Even if they weren't caught, Mahomes' miracle passes will be re-lived and talked about for years to come. Even the Bucs on the sidelines were blown away. "How did he DO that? #15 is a magician, man."
