- Brillant cover version of "Stuck in the Middle with You" originally written and performed by Stealers Wheel (1972), which was composed of Joe Egan and Gerry Rafferty - Live from french 1995 tv show
He had both eyes removed as a child due to a rare cancer of the retina. He ultimately died of the cancer. Yet he became a world class musician and loved personality. Some people are truly amazing.
Saw him at a small arena not to long before he passed,, totally underrated,,such a great musician ,,love him ,,i hope to see him in heaven??
No one compares,,I thank him so much for the great music ,,A TRUE LEGEND.

I remember when Jeff came to Hammerjacks in Baltimore, right as See the light was being released. He nearly broght the roof down. The best show I have ever been to. I have seen Ozzy, Nugent, ZZ and many other bands. The Healey show is one I will never forget.

I had been looking for a video of Stealer's Wheel doing their famous song, and what a pleasant surprise to come across Jeff Healey's great cover version! I have always held him in the highest regard, he developed a totally off the wall style of playing and made it work. Most guitarists wish they could play 1/4 of what Jeff could, even playing in a conventional way. I miss him the same as I do Stevie Ray Vaughan. And yes, I've seen their video together, Stevie was AMAZED watching Jeff play!

Rachelle Arcaro I agree Rachelle:) Jeff lived in my home town of Brantford (also home of Wayne Gretzky). He attended our famous school for the blind. He learned to play there. He wasn't born blind. He was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer & lost his eyes at the tender age of 18mths.

What make Jeff Healey so different and so amazing is his fluidity, he is an open channel, never he seems to searche for what he's going to play next, it's always a smooth flow.

i didn't realize he'd passed either, an amazing musician, and an inspiration. He'll most surely be missed.

What a great version of this song. I was lucky enough to see Jeff a couple of times during his tours of the UK in the late 80s, he was an amazing and unique talent.

The first time I ever heard Jeff play I was blown away . He is so gifted on Guitar and no one to my knowledge plays like he does either . One thing I don't know is what happened to Jeff ? I know he's not with us anymore but what happened to him ?

He was blind since he was 8 months... he got a cancer on his eyes, he has devoloped a personal style to play guitar, he died in 2008, he is one of the greatest musicians i have ever seen, obviously im saying this bassed on the fact that he is blind! so... Jeff Rest in Peace!

To me it's a consummate track :) ( like see the light, cruel little number, stuck in the middle studio, communication break down (wow!!! Realiously !!!, and confidence man of course :)
Ps I respect everyone who says rip (sir) Jeff, but I kind of like to think he's resting in peace when he wants to, and ripping it up at 11! Spinal tap style with Hendrix, stevie, and, I don't know , sunny boy Williamson :)
