Another big consideration that people are missing: you can presumably hit the pizza slice at your opponent after it splits off. They showed off that catdog can hit their own projectiles as a mix up and I think that’s huge for this character.
Pretty sure it was grabbing the projectile but either way yea.
I hope that's the case because otherwise it looks mediocre. It's super slow meaning it'll be easy to grab or hit back

The nunchucks being a janky weapon tangent is funny because if I remember my TMNT lore correctly Mikey is actually the one with best aptitude for martial arts so he succeeds just fine with the harder to use weapon.
Imagine if he just had Leo’s attitude and got his stuff together. Dude would’ve been dangerous… but then his character wouldn’t have been as adored so 🤷♂️

@@scufflingboogaloo5006 Really any of the original comics. I was shocked when I found how serious they were. Like night and day compared to the animated series. Beebop and Rocksteady got their own series way down the line too, in a similar vein. Those two are legit terrifying in the comics. Like two hulking mutants should be.
Heads up Jason m2k, if you're gonna do Lincoln, his super soaker got reworked so it doesn't work how it does in the showcase.
How strange, I also noticed how many names changed for Nigel's moves between recording and editing. Seems like a lot is being done weeks before the game is out

@@theshadowspider97 Honestly I just find it funny because so many people manage to say Mikey's name wrong so many times.
I'm pretty sure one of the devs said they implemented drag downs on this character, so I think they'll be hype af and fun as hell.
Ninja Turtles have the reflexes to ricochet bullets with Nunchucku, no human does so Nunchucku is from an older and dated time.
With the pizza projectile, since you can grab projectiles, if you land only the first hit of pizza and the slice comes back at you couldn't you grab the slice and throw it as a follow up?
Re: funny stick weapons: you used them to karate to improve your hand strength and forearm strength. They have the same rough origin as flails in Europe (which, themselves, are considered pretty impractical and weird weapons) as far as being derived from threshing tools. In places where it was hard to get properly forged weapons for whatever reason, people just learned how to use farm tools. Getting cracked in the face, neck or wrist with a piece of stick moving at high speeds probably is less fun than getting punched or kicked.

Which makes me wonder if the rps interactions only happen when strongs trade and not clash
Or maybe it doesn't work in the air...idk if that's been shown tho so I could be wrong

Mikey is the turtle I'm the most hyped for he was my favorite as a kid and knowing how bad nun chucks really are makes it even better, love the orange bandana goofball. Can't wait.
I love how even Jason acknowledges how dumb and impractical nunchucks are.
But those nunchucks will make you look really cool right before you get shot in the face

5:32 Fun fact, some melee(melee as in weapon, not the melee game) enthusiast has made several videos showcasing how Nunchucks are garbage as a weapon choice and that even a simple STICK or fists are better than them

I've heard the same opinion for them. The point is to hit people with them to break bone. A solid stick can do that just fine.

Well to be fair, if the turtles ever run into someone with a gun, they could probably well… turn around. I’m pretty sure the shells bulletproof. And even then they probably deal more with lasers anyway.
