When a family said come and clear our mother's house I would always pull the sewing box aside and spend time. We were all taught never go into your mother's handbag. A rule never to be broken. But all the little treasures were in mothers sewing box. Brought me to tears sometimes a little sea shell that must have meant something. ❤

I just busted my hubby at the Goodwill in East Earl in this upload 😂😂😂 I've been dragging him into thrift stores and antique malls forever and he finally caught the bug, the thrill of the hunt. Bless his heart though, he doesn't know exactly what he's looking for, but he's supportive and trying to find treasures for me to resell!

You always tip me off to a different style of things to sell. After watching you for awhile I learning about linens! I have scored big time and they have been my number one money maker. I found 10 yd of fabric and sold it for $400. Then, I found a duvet in a very neat print that sold for $280. Go out and get what's yours!
Karen - Wait until you start finding random items in your handbag. My hubby adds things he doesn’t want to carry to mine. All of a sudden, I’m lugging around 20lbs on my shoulder. 🤣🤣

Same with me, Karen, my outside plants do well; but for inside I buy high end artificial plants and flowers. They last forever and look real. You may want to sprinkle some inside after the projects are all done. I love it when you and Roger shop as a couple. He can be funny. 😅❤

Years ago I went through the Master Gardener Program in Bucks County. Enjoyed the experience and, at the time, did work on renovating the small plot remaining on the Newtown Common. Years since then, other groups have been making there changes to the area. A tree I had planted and a railroad fence I had installed remains. I haven’t keep up the designation as MG but it was a joy during the time I was active. It was fun for me to watch your video on your yard, your ideas for it, and identifying with you the plants you’re using in your design.
You make such a sweet couple. Someone was keeping you both in mind for each other. So nice when lovely people find each other. Blessings and love for a fabulous future. Hi from this Australian.

I have learned so much from watching you over the past year as a reseller. I am going to move onto another platform basically because I'm not making any money and I know I'm doing everything the correct way. I won't mention their name but let me say they were bought by a Korean company and went way down hill. Thank You for all your videos and advice.

Fun video. The little pottery horse you got early in the video is Raku and sells for $50-$65 ... so great fund on that! Also saw a video from a flea market you and Roger went to, where you got 2 art pottery bowls, an antique perfume bottle, and onyx bottle stopper for $10. The $5 art pottery jar you left behind was also Raku and would have sold for approximately $150.
I was holding the exact beaded leather belt when you found yours. How crazy! I picked mine up last night and was listing it this morning while watching you!
In Minnesota a decade ago, I'd have to cover my items with an old garment as folks would shop from our carts! No purses in the carts. Use a belt bag or crossbody for hands free thrifting.

You’re so lucky your man does this. Mine yells at me for going. I’m not a reseller. I just like to buy stuff for the grandkids and I have found wonderful shirts that he has been impressed with for him but he doesn’t like it when I go.

I had that train as a child, although the box looks different than I remember. The railroad ties were different notes and the train struck them as it went around. You could set it up to play different songs. I loved it.

if you're ever in NJ on a Sunday the Goodwill in Willingboro on US-130 has Dollar Sunday! Everything in the store with the weeks color tag (and there is usually more than one color!) is only $1 and if its marked at $1already then it is 1/2 off because the color tags are 1/2 off all week. I spend a lot of time there when I go to visit family,lol.
That basket, here in South King County WA would be $12.99 or more here.
Man I wish our goodwill stores had 2.00 Tuesday you really have opened my eyes to lamps and belts oh and from other video pajamas those little stores are the best we have a store to help pregnant women and new mothers clothes are 1.00 for tops 2.00 jeans

Orchids are so easy! Outside in the summer, western sun for the afternoon only. A bit of food now and then. And the result is blossom stalls galore, making the window a riot of color for most of the winter.

Black Tags: in our area Black Tags are put on items Goodwill brings in that are new retail stock, that never go into the sale rotation. It’s like they are buying bulk close out or overstock quantities from other companies. Seeing more and more of these new retail items brought in the store in quantity, that are not donated, the way most Goodwill items are sourced.
The first thing i ever sold was a Calleen Cordero belt at a fantastic profit!

Some people have as decor grapefruit size balls, made of vines or seeds or beads that they set out in a bowl for a decorative centerpiece. Or extra large pinecones or nicely made fake fruit-like pomegranates, oranges, apples that would work in the “killer” bowl.
I sell those sewing boxes in my brick and mortar for $60. I usually get them sold by suggesting the interested customer use it for a jewelry box.

May I first of all wish you and Roger all the best for your wedding. You had me laughing you weren't even into the store Oh ! A sewing box. 😂. That was me dolls houses and sewing boxes my weakness. I had a junk shop selling everything and anything old furniture was popular sold to be painted and sold on. I like to sew. When I seen a sewing box for sale I had to have it. Sewing boxes sometimes full of thread and needles and little treasures that the person had collected. Time to stop and think of the person it belonged to.

oh how i wish our Goodwills in my area put things on shelves on not tops of racks. It's so hard to enjoy browsing since everything is up high and you have to maneuver around the people looking at the clothes.
