Hopefully you have a long and happy life. You're in a tough age but what you do now, for yourself and loved ones, will send you in a certain trajectory. Take your time young man. Don't be afraid to ask elders for thier wisdom. They are a treasure that gets over looked.
Material things don't bring happiness, really. Save for your own house/ land. Don't get into credit trouble.
Look carefully who you hang with. You'll either get lifted up or brought down.

I'm a 53 y/o white woman, listening to you. Life doesn't stop, and as far as I can see the best we can do is stay curious about the world, other people, and ourselves. What you think of yourself and your world right now probably seems stable, but ten years from now it's going to be different. We all make mistakes, and we all look back at our younger selves and see things we wish we'd done differently. That's okay. You talk about not wanting to live for other people, and I get what you're saying. From my perspective, I want to live more for other people right now than I used to. In the sense of, I want to give back to other people. I'm not rich, not the luckiest or the healthiest, but I have things to give. Two things I try to live by - As I go through the world every day, I know I probably can't make someone's day or help them in some huge way. Every once in a great while we'll have the opportunity to do something heroic, and we should seize those rare opportunities to do something big. But most days I just remind myself that I should never make anyone's day worse by their interaction with me. Second thing is this: we all have egos and pride, and we all want to be accepted and loved and respected. The trick is, those things have to be in a delicate balance to be healthy. So I tell myself: don't puff up and don't shrink either, but stand in your truth. At this point in my life, I won't negotiate who I am or my values to fit in with anyone or any group. Fitting in isn't the same as belonging, and I can only belong wherever I don't have to negotiate my true values and my true self. Right now, for me, more than halfway through this journey, connection to others and doing some good in the world is the most important thing. Just my two cents.

You're absolutely right. It's much better to consider your peace of mind and your future self instead of living to impress or feel important.
It's good that you're asking yourself these deep questions while you're young. It may not always feel like it but there's aleays time to take the better path.
Don't beat yourself up for past mistakes or judge yourself too harshly.
The main thing is that you learn from life and can move forward now that you're aware.
Keep doing good things for yourself and others and good will come to you.
Sometimes it's a winding path, but you'll move forward.
So many of us are rooting for you and know you’ll not only reach your new goals but far surpass them.
Hang in there through the tough times. Talking with people who you respect or even a professional that you vibe with can be a big help.

Hey Tim, it must be said that your videos have been taking on a very melancholy tone and the thumbnail for this one was low key heartbreaking. I think it's important for young people (and maybe Tim) to know that if you have any predisposition to depression, cannabis, long term, is often a terrible way to treat it.
It masks the depression by temporarily lightening the mood, but for many people, it gradually makes their baseline mood worse because it is a systemic depressant.
@@melissasaint3283 do you have a source on that? The Mayo Clinic says the correlation between regular cannabis use and depression is not likely a causal relationship.
I love that thought. The young man needs a STRONG, INTELLIGENT person to talk to. Most times when someone needs someone to talk to, they aren't seeking advice or a solution, They're just looking for an Out let , or sounding board and possibly even a confirmation to their process of thinking. Being able to sit with your mouth shut
and not say anything, takes a lot. But, Being able to interact without giving advice or any idea of an opinion, just letting them go with what they need said, and make it seem like a normal con-fab takes intelligence and strength, and that's what he needs.
Try to do what makes you happy without causing harm to others!

I hear the struggle in your voice and I understand what you are saying. Our world is not the easiest or best place right now. Personally I lean towards Jesus. I don't try to understand everything because I don't have that capability but God does He knows All and when life gets hard I have to remind myself He put me here at this time for a reason and waking up every day means I still have more to do. My dear, I feel you are depressed. You are speaking very wisely. However, your body language and tone of voice has such sadness. Even your facial expressions. ..THERE IS MORE GOING ON than what you're saying. 😢 I fell in love with you boys a few years back, and though I don't know you personally, it makes my heart ache to see you OBVIOUSLY hurting. Please, talk honestly to someone. You are an intelligent, good hearted, legit, guy. This world needs guys like you. I'm old enough to be your mom, and from a mom's view...I see and hear pain in you.
My exact tboughts exactly. I feel he has been going through something for a few months now. From someone who deals with depression and has dealt with depression on and off for most of my adult life I know it when I see it. I wished I could sit down beside him and talk to him....and I too am old enough to be his mother. It's ok not to be ok for a little while because life has it's ups and downs but if you stay down too long I hope you will reach out and talk to someone and get help. Much love to you both 💙💙

I understand everything you are saying. I grew up with bare minimum. Being an adult now i dont see all those pricy things as a priority. To live comfortable mentally. Not worried about having food or a roof over your head is a freedom. Even if i have extra money i stilll go to thrift stores and walmart etc. People are to worried about the outer. What about the inner. I dont have FB and things like that, i dont want to see what everyone is doing or saying to compete. Life is more than the popularity contest. What happened to quality time with family and friends. Reflection. Meditation. Being in nature without taking a picture. Being in the moment. Love you and your brother! To see failure as an opportunity to grow rather than a mistake is too often misunderstood. You and Fred have what is known as “good character”! Bruh. I just found your channel and this video today. I searched for you guys on CZcams after liking your tiktok videos. Just want to say this as someone new and who has just recently discovered you and your twin . I just turned 26 and I just want to say you are not alone brother. It took me until just last year barely turning 25/26 to realize some of the things you talking about now. I struggle and battle through my head everyday with my own vices and the fact that I have an addictive personality. I sit there and fight and talk to myself constantly because I think to my self whats the point of it all. In the end i kind of came to the realization that there is no point and that it is whatever you make it for yourself. Sounds easier said than done of course but just know everything you talking about its not wrong its not far off its not something random that you should or shouldnt be feeling. that shit is normal and it is human and others besides yourself relate to everything you talking about so just know you not alone. Your time will come brother and you will have peace. Just trust the process as they say and more importantly just trust yourself. You seem like you have the right mindset and just want to be the best version of yourself possible while also being there and being the person you should be for those around you. I know what you mean man. Just know you got a new fan off of this video. Much respect.

Life is hard. I found that meditation is great. 3 minute affirmation meditation can save your life. What I mean is give thanks for 3 minutes throughout the day. Say positive words about yourself for 3 minutes throughout the day. Speak your future for 3 minutes throughout the day. This is called a brain reset. It may take a while but, stay consistent. We NEED 3 things food, shelter, clothes on our back everything else is a WANT. Oliver Anthony (Chris) would throw in his dogs though, companionship (good woman) and I agree with that. Our focus is way off (keeping up with the Jones), we all need to look inside be "Humble and Kind" as Tim McGraw sang. Your head is on straight son, I am scared for your generation, been thinking next World War coming with Ukraine war but now with Israel/Hamas closer than ever. Best you son I pray for you and your generation every day.
To the person reading this, if you arent religious or not sure then i recommend looking up what optimistic nihilism is. The philosophy is incredibly common and a wonder way to view life.

Last week I was thinking about "FOMO" and how it causes people to allow other people to control their lives, instead of them deciding for themselves like what you just said. I came up with a new acronym: "FWMO" - "Fine With Missing Out." I think that FWMO is much easier to do when you're retirement age (like I am) than when you're young, but it has really helped my peace of mind.

Wow, I’m so glad you’re learning this at a young age Tim this was deep, you are growing up to be such a wise young man, in this lifetime as you grow and get older, life teaches you many lessons and it’s up to you to to learn from it, I am myself Never was a follower and never, let other people opinion push me to do something I don’t want to do sometimes you have to stand your ground, you go by what make Tim, happy if their not paying your bills or buying your clothes than, don’t worry about them, and why people have to spend money on such expensive things just to feel better but, you can take that money and keep it in your bank account and you don’t need name brand clothes to look good or feel good about yourself remember that and save your money for something bigger like a nice beautiful comfortable home to come too. Living a beautiful and peaceful life. Be smart in whatever you do.😊💐
