Oh honey, nobody knows how to grieve. It’s different for everybody, even with each loss. There’s no timetable to grief, no set order. you feel what you feel. Sometimes months or even years later something will hit you, remind you of something, and that grief is right there like it’s fresh. As long as you aren’t harming yourself or anybody else, nobody can or should dictate how you grieve. All any of us can do is share our loss, our love, our support.

You do not owe us an explanation to your absence. My mother disappeared for months and years at a time. She passed away from cirhossis in May 2020. I was in such denial of my grief that I had a nervous breakdown. I ignored my body and the signals that it was sending me for years prior to her passing which my therapist called anticipatory grief.I had to quit my teaching job because I was having panic attacks teaching virtually . I found your channel and you guys brought me so much joy during such a dark time in my life. Prioritize your mental health and give yourself grace during such a difficult time. I’m 49 and I wish I was as wise as you when I was 25. You and your family will be in my prayers❤

Many, many people have abusive or uncaring families so how do you think that statement affects them? Exactly. You didn’t think of them. I hope that you and everyone who reads this becomes more aware and sensitive to the fact that families are not great for everyone. In fact, they can be an awful and toxic influence. Please be a little more sensitive to people who may not have your life experience. However, I know that you are kind and compassionate but a little uninformed. Unfortunately many like yourself, generalise and make what is called “motherhood statements”. Meaning you generalise and use your own experience but don’t acknowledge that others can have radically different experiences, so that your statements become patronising and make them feel worse and not understood. I am just glad to see you back, Tim. This 56-year-old woman has loved you and your brother since I first saw your videos. Please take care of yourself, stay healthy physically, mentally, spiritually, and intellectually. You seem to be doing just that. I have so much respect for you. I have seen you go through so much, always with grace. You are sharing so much of yourself with the world. I'm also impressed that you are such a positive influence on others.
Forgive me for jumping on your thread , but this 57yo woman has had Tim and his brother SO big in my heart since the first time they showed up in my suggested channels. I was so taken with them ! Their enthusiasm, their light, their poise, their wit ,,, ha! I could just go on and on with how much and in how many ways I was genuinely impressed with both of them. But I felt , at times, or rather I sensed a heaviness . A burden ? Something weighing on one, then the other and I’d just hoped they had someone to talk to. More than just each other. Of course it wasn’t any of my business, but my protective mom side kept popping up , lol , hey, when you share something as important and real as *music* with someone … especially “someones” as dear and rare as these two ? I just know that seeing that they’d dropped another gem for us would *without* *fail* raise my mood and put a smile on my face. Same when it was only Timothy. I’m guessing they grew on you too ?! And now, with this one, I just want to let them know what incredible, what strong, what rare souls they both are and that every other person that commented here sees them as well. And to Timothy, it’s an honor that you shared at least some of what’s going on with you.

Tim, I’m very sorry to hear about your father. I was a substance abuse counselor for a long time and worked with so many people in situations similar to your dad. How lucky your dad is to have a young man that loves him despite his faults. I really hope he’s safe and getting help somewhere. Addiction is such a beast. Sending you and your family love and prayers for his safety and that he is found soon. You are an important person and this world is better with you in it ❤

I completely understand what you’re going through. My daughter has been missing for 4 years and we just found out she’s been arrested. Not once but twice in another state. It’s all due to her drug addiction and her untreated mental illness. Not only am I grieving for her but, her two sons that I adopted, are and have been grieving her being missing and now all the prison time she’s facing.
You’re doing what you should be doing. Talking it out and emotionally processing it. Thank you for sharing your journey and your emotions with us.

Your advice about reconciliation with your parent is spot on. When I was 18 and oh so smart, I shut my dad out of my life. For 10 years, finally decided the situation needed to change. He welcomed me back and I was humbled - we made things right between us. 9 months later he had a heart attack and died in his kitchen. My sadness was lessened because I knew he loved me, no matter what. Pay attention to this people.
Your a super angel...we all struggle it's a lifelong lesson with a lot of tears and smiles....we adjust...my heart goes out to you, it's not easy, bit that's why we are here to experience the physical realm in all its beauty and pain...🌹🫶🌈

There's no 'right way' to worry or grieve. A person can only do exactly what you are doing: breathing, taking one moment at a time, letting people that love y'all know you aren't exactly okay right now. ( but you're taking a slow route to being okay) We are glad you shared your load because now we can pray for you both and your dad. Hold on young man.

You seem like such an incredibly smart man. I’m 62 and neither of my parent’s are alive. Lost my mom in 2017. She lived with me and my husband, and we cared for her. When she passed, I just never got over it. Grieving, it’s a difficult thing. I’ve had so much loss in my life, that I my mind can no longer accept loss. I do what my heart tells me to do, and I follow it. I don’t think that grieving is something that you learn, but an experience. Everyone grieves differently and in their own time and way. I didn’t know my father until one week before my wedding day. I was 23 then. Even though he wasn’t in my life for the most part, I loved him. I get everything that you are saying and can feel your emotions. I can only say that keeping your faith and trusting in God will help you through everything that you’re going through. My mother passed on Dec. 16, 2023, she was 90 years old, and it appears she passed in her sleep. We were notified CPR was being performed shortly after 7:00 am. I am a Native man and I have long talked to counselors and made use of support groups. It helps to process and express our emotions. Emotional health is very important. I am getting older, but I am not done yet. There are still new experiences to live, places to go, things to see.
You've brought a lot of joy to a lot of people, man. My heart is so full of sadness for you. Being worried for someone you love, and feeling helpless, is the worst. Such a beautiful and heartfelt message. We'll be here when you're back -- don't rush. A channel can always be rebuilt; nothing tops family.

It is probablly one of the hardest things to go through. Im doing it right😢taking care of my mom. Last year i took her to her sister in laws funeral. My mom had a ischemic stroke. I watched my aunts casket go out one door of the church and my mom on a stretcher out the other door😢its been a living hell since. She has dementia and some braindamage from it all. Forgot how to make coffee, fix food, etc..😢it is literally destroying me inside to take care of her.

There are books on the five stages of grief and Dr. Elisabeth Kubler-Ross was the first, that I’m aware of, to recognize and publish books on the information. There is another book by Granger E Westberg called Good Grief that I’ve heard is very good. Surprisingly, there is an “art” so to speak on getting through grief. Learning that “art”has helped me in many different types of loss, not just death. Prayers for you and your family.

But each trial teaches us how to get stronger and smarter, and gives us experience to deal with what's coming in the future. No matter if it's good or bad. Don't worry at all about being answerable to people online, even if you feel a connection to all of those strangers. Everyone needs time to deal with their health, both physical and emotional. Take your time, you're allowed to grieve, if that's what you're dealing with. Each person, regardless of how close they are to you, is also a soul, and a spirit. And those relationships are the ones that last, when physical things fall away. Take care of yourself, and try to enjoy those who are still there for you.

Thank you for sharing. It is incredibly hard to lose a loved one. I was estranged from my father for 15 years. I reconciled with him and he was able to attend my wedding. 3 months later he died from COVID. Grieving is a process. Big hugs and look forward to your new videos!

My mom died when I was 6, and I never met my dad since he left while she was pregnant . still with the same man I started dating at 16 yrs old(nearly 32 yrs together so far). That lil intro is just showing an example of how broad your audience is…. Young,old and everything in between. we all love your channel. Yes we love the content but we do care about you as a person….after watching so many videos we get to see your personality( and what a great personality it is.)and we care about what happens to you. I’m sorry to hear this. Don’t say you’re sorry to bring anyone down , you’re not. You’re being honest/real and I respect you sharing your feelings. Unloading those feelings is a good way of coping. I don’t wanna pretend I know what you’re going through, so all I can do is send love and prayers to you and your entire family. Never worry about how long you take to post, we will be here when you’re ready, take care of yourself/family and do what you need to do. I’m sorry this is how the New Year is starting . Though you do not have to explain anything, the fact that you do shows how much you truly care about those who watch your videos. That means a lot and also helps others to know they can be open about anything they might be dealing with.

Oh honey, nobody knows how to grieve. It’s different for everybody, even with each loss. There’s no timetable to grief, no set order. you feel what you feel. Sometimes months or even years later something will hit you, remind you of something, and that grief is right there like it’s fresh. As long as you aren’t harming yourself or anybody else, nobody can or should dictate how you grieve. All any of us can do is share our loss, our love, our support.

Timothy, I fell in love with you and your brother the first time i saw the first video sent to me. I am a 72 year old woman that is hurting for you and your family. You have a load on your shoulders. The hope of always making a relationship right is a comfort. Like you said, don't put it off. You are taking the time to grieve and to think your way through this situation. i feel you, young man. my father died 4 i was even born. personally, i wouldn't have cared what kind of man he was. i would have been glad to at least see him, then get to know him. we as the children don't really have an idea of what happened between our parents that made the other one go missing. i don't know about any of you, but i cannot hate someone i never knew. think about that. we all have a story that deserves to be heard.

I hope you’ve gotten some news about your dad. Praying for you and your entire family. Addiction is a horrible disease, and I’m sure he wishes he could have been who you deserved him to be, but addiction steals so much from so many. Hoping you get answers soon if you haven’t already.

Your feelings are your feelings. Let yourself feel whatever complex emotions that come up. This is the beginning of healing. You can’t heal what you don’t feel. And let your family members all feel their own feelings. Meanwhile, take care of your health, safety, well-being. This is an important time to avoid alcohol and people who bring you down or ask too much if you. It is a time to get 8+ hours of sleep each night, exercise, eat healthy food, meditate, pray, relax, and be around people who lift you up. It can help to talk with a grief counselor.
You are showing grace and forgiveness to your father. Forgiveness is one of the main actions God requires of us. The Bible states that if we can’t forgive others for their trespasses, He won’t forgive us for our trespasses. You are a wise young man. Praying for your family 🙏🏻
