    Spend the night on the summit if you can. The city lights from Victoria to Portland are plainly visible. Late August is best, as you can see and avoid all the glacier crevasses.

    Do you have a track recording? What face of the summit block did you climb?

    Great video, my friend! Lovely hiking adventure! The nature is amazing, too.. Those mountains are incredible...Enjoyed watching it a lot! Cheers from Russia, Landon , and how about visiting my channel as well? I've got something to share about camping hacks and tips ! Anyway, best wishes in your plans and beginnings! Regards, Yuriy!

    Hey Landon - wondering what length and size rope you guys used for this trip? Have a trip planned in early July and am looking at a new glacier rope.

      Conner, I had the same question. Also we will be up there early July this year as well!

      Sorry guys, just replied above. We had two, 100 ft. ropes. You need 100 ft. to climb. Unless you used a pull cord or multi-stage rappel. Have fun. Keep it clean.

    One question though, since I don't know that area very well: Is that a snowfield you're glissading down? Or are you glissading down a glacier..?

      Thanks! That’s a snowfield. A glacier would likely be too dangerous with the risk of hidden crevasses.

    Same question as Conner, what rope length did you use? Did you use the same rope climbing that you used during the glacier crossing? Keep on keeping on! Thanks in advance.

    I really want to do this mountain but can't rouse any of my friends to and I dont want to pay 1500 for a guide. But it doesn't look like it should be done solo 😕

    • @LandonChristensen
      @LandonChristensen  Před 3 lety +1

      Yeah, solo isn’t recommended and you need an experienced lead climber. If you have the latter and are trained in self arrest and crevasse rescue you can do it without a guide. Just make sure you’ve done your research on the route.
