If She Can Fix It She Can Have It! - Featuring TronicsWife! I bought a broken Animal Crossing Special Edition Nintendo Switch and I told my wife, if she can fix it, she can have it. She will be allowed to use the iFixit repair guide for removing the motherboard in a Switch, plus, to make it more interesting, if she asks up to, but not more than, 5 questions, she will also get $200 for the Nintendo eShop. If she needs to ask me more than 5 questions, then I get the $200.

This is actually the second video Jessica has been in. The first was this livestream we did together: czcams.com/users/live2BTa0AXZSaU?feature=share
That was a great stream Steve
Done pretty well for a Non-Influencer.
And with a couple months of practice, Steve's going to be out of a job. :)
Yes. I remember the first. This is kinda cool. A play station will be the next task. 😂
Great Job!
I'm still only 3 and a half minutes in but I have to admit that having your wife participate in doing a video was a brilliant idea. I think there are a lot of people whether female or male who would be just as nervous as she seems to be trying to pull this off (myself included). Kudos.
Yes, agreed. We wanted to show that there are a few difficult parts but most people could do this stuff.
Is anyone going to mention how friendly and sweet TronixWife is?
She is all of those things!
Don't forget Pretty!!
They are so cute together! I agree on all counts. Nice find Tronix!
She should voice over all the videos n her calm manner
She's really cute. Nice job man. Now you can have her do repairs for you.
Jessica is a natural, light touch, steady hand, willing to learn, soothing voice, confident.
She’s very talented! Would love to see her take on the “perfect amount of thermal paste.”
Lol, great idea!
I would like to see her soldering stuff 😊
Jessica did phenomenal. I really think this video will encourage more women to try to fix their electronics. I was so afraid of breaking something that took me years to finally try it myself. Another Idea for a video could be Jessica changing the Joycon shells, it's something a lot of people want to do but they don't feel confident enough to try it themselves.
Thanks! I hope more women will try repairing electronics. That would be great. I love the idea about changing Joycon shells. - Jessica
@@Tronicsfix Hey Jessica, you did a great job!
Yes! It's definitely more intimidating to work with electronics than it is to actually fix them. When I learned how to assemble my own PC when I was 19, I was blown away with how straightforward it was. A little reading online and double checking to make sure parts are compatible is all it takes.
I love this format. I think i can confidently say that we all want to see more Jessica & Steve 🎉
Cringeworthy comment.
@@thegoodguy44 Are you feeling alright?
@@thegoodguy44 you don't seem like a very good guy 😂
More with Jessica!
Absolutely love this video. It perfectly shows that we shouldn't be afraid of fixing our electronics. Simply be smart, careful, and never hesitate to ask for help.
Yes! Exactly. Glad you enjoyed it.
🤣Steve really wants that money for himself. Great job Jessica.
Lol!
This was really cute and entertaining and also very educational. There is a huge difference between someone that does it all the time and someone that has little to no idea what they are doing.
Agreed. As good as it is watching Steve do his thing, it's refreshing watching a non-technical person try.
How is she so confident on camera?!
I know, right?! I took me years to be as confident as she is!
-Steve
This should ABSOLUTELY be a series! It's awesome seeing a relative newbie work on this stuff, learning as they go!!
Man yall are awesome. Hey Steve! I love the chemistry she brings! You were a huge help!
Thanks so much
This dynamic was so entertaining as well as encouraging. Someone who is inexperienced (no shade) attempting a repair with a professional and watching the results motivates people who are just as curious to know whether they have the skill to actually try and repair their electronics. Great job!
This was one of the best videos educationally for the casual fixer as it shows sometimes the guide not being fully duplicable and the small details on tools/assembling techniques, and feel of the unit (heatsink looseness) when putting back together
So glad you enjoyed it. Yes, you make great points. Sometimes you just can't know some things even with a guide. Only experience can teach you some things.
This was a great video to watch. Your lady has some really good skills Steve! I am impressed with how well she did and how very careful she was with every step during the disassembly and the reassembly. I think that only asking five questions and getting the whole Switch back together and in working order is really quite impressive, seeing as she has never done this job before. Great job Mrs. TronicsFix! Bravo!
This video was great! The natural banter between you two was great and she smashed that install! Would love to see more like this!
So glad you enjoyed it! We'll make more if people like this one.
I love that Jessica was able to place the perfect amount of thermal paste first try! Not sure why she seemed unsure. I was sure. 😁
She's a natural
Hey Tronics, I am an autistic adult and although I am a fairly new subscriber, I have been watching your videos for quite a while. I am honestly super addicted to this content and am always awaiting a new upload from you. I love learning about things, even if I will never use this information in my life, and you are extremely thorough with every video and I truly appreciate that and you. Thanks for all the wonderful content, I hope you continue to make absolute bangers of videos like you have been since I started watching. Stay safe & much love.
This is a great video. Jessica is so confident in front of the camera and seems only nervous about the job she's doing. Really fun and entertaining. I hope you do more of this, it's easier to relate with the newbie, and satisfying when she manages to do it so well with just a little help 👍🏻
Aw bless her heart... you should do more of these. I really enjoyed this video well done guys!! X
You know your spouse is the right one when they can also fix just like you. The iFix it guide was a great help. Awesome video man!
What I love most about this video is how apparent it is that y’all love and respect each other. Perfect video!
This was a treat! This duo idea is fun and kept me engaged and on my toes; excellent job Jessica! Hopefully, you BOTH will be able to get TotK!
Please continue doing this style; you guys have great chemistry, and it works well. Your laughter and constant smiling definitely transfer to the genuine followers of the channel.
This is an excellent device to work on; it's relatively easy, and not too easy - like that ribbon cable that's tough lining up sometimes and easy to break.
Jessica is quite determined, talented, friendly, and a gem! She got it on her own and was ready to ask when she needed help; she had the right mindset to do this!
It was nice seeing you both doing Q&A during the live stream and introducing your wife, Steve; you both make a great team!
You do great work Steve, I'm an admirer of your work and determination. I've followed for a couple years now I think, and appreciate the direction you're taking the channel! Slow and steady wins the race!
This is an excellent way of showing people that they should try, and learn how to fix electronics. She did great! I've seen "shops" that were not even remotely as clean and organized in their work.
Great video! Thank you Jessica for showing how it it’s done. Please please more videos like this. Thanks to you both.
I love I fix it and have used it multiple times, and I look forward to them adding more electronics fix guides. Great job Mrs. TronicsFix!
This is absolutely great! She has great screen presence and DID VERY well overall both following the guide and in her build/breakdown confidence too without being overconfident and breaking anything! Fantastic idea! Plus she brings out the more natural presenting side of Steve and I prefer that delivery as opposed to presenter-voice-Steve he usually does. Also kudos to your wife for being game to actually do this kind of video in the first place! Nice one 👍🏻✨😁
I really enjoyed watching this video. It was awesome to see how someone without experience can do repairs. Hope you both do some more of these type of videos.
Always enjoy your videos for the learning experience but I smiled throughout this one because the 2 of you seemed to have so much fun with it. You both picked winners. ❤
*She built the switch better than Nintendo did with wii U*
a stretch the wii u is underrated
How dare you
The Wii U was built fine
Lol
😂 Ouch. As a Wii U owner I feel attacked.
This was really great - A, because Jessica is really great on camera, and B, because it's a really good demonstration of the fact that repairs aren't just the realm of the Steves of the world - there's plenty that is in the scope of 'the rest of us'.
Loved it!
I love this style of video. As you’re an expert at repairing devices Steve it’s great to see what difficulties someone new to repairing devices would come across. I would love to see more videos similar to this!
Man I loved this video!!! Had a smile on my face throughout the whole video along with the perfect amount of giggles!!! Great job Mrs TronicFixIt!!!
What a fantastic and creative way to showcase iFixIt tools/guides. Well done Mrs TronicsFix!
I'm giving this a big fat LIKE! I barely started watching and I know it's gonna be a blast! I wonder if she will apply the perfect amount of thermal paste, though...
EDIT: And she did!! Twice!!! This video was such both an inspiration and a breath of fresh air. More TronicsWife, please!!!
Ha, ha! Yes, the perfect amount. Glad you enjoyed this! We'll do more like this if people want to see it
This is one of the most entertaining and wholesome videos! Teaching TronicsWife more repairs would be an awesome series of videos
This was great! She did great and makes me have more confidence with my own repairs. It also showed that the ifixit guide could use some updates/nuanced tips to help "first timers" like myself who is brand new fixing electronics. Great job Jessica! 10/10
ifixit guides have helped me a bunch of times, and also watching your videos, I have one of their tool kits. Great video. I plan on replacing the thermal paste on my animal crossing switch. It will be my first time opening a Switch.
I loved this, it was really endearing. Plus it's a good example of how even someone with limited experience can get started on DIY repairs with just some guides, the right tools, and a bit of patience.
I thoroughly enjoy the content you produce, and to have your wife participate in the video shows that you are very family oriented; kudos my hats off to you guys! ❤
Way to go, Jessica!!!!! It might be interesting going to have Jessica doing more videos like this in which there is a simple fix for the device, to show us how easy it cam be.
That's awesome see your wife do video with you bro... It's enjoyable watch you guys do in this video.. make me smile to watch how yell reaction during repair is funny and awesome 👌 thank for sharing
She's so blessed to have you by her side. I'd love more videos like this.
There has to be a more blooper reel content from this, that thumb comment at the end was hilarious. Good job Jessica.
Also Steve i personally used you old guide to open my ps4, so the boring parts are definitely something i want included for full repair guides you do.
What a great idea. This way people can see that some of these fixes are possible with mostly an online repair guide!
Well done Jessica 👏
None of these are completely easy!
Great video, really shows off the guides and how good they are. Enjoyed it!
This was such an amazing video!! To show that someone who has very little repair experience can do it too is such an amazing watch and inspires me to try and fix some of my broken controllers myself! Also, she's such a sweetheart and it made the video that much more enjoyable! Easily one of the best videos I have ever watched on this channel! Amazing work you guys!
This was a really fun video! Jessica did a great job taking everything apart and getting it back in working order. She definitely earned the victory! I also love that blue tinge in her hair. Well done, Jessica!
You need to do more videos with Tronixwife, you both looked like you were having fun and enjoying the banter and the repair together.
Throughly enjoyed seeing tronicswife fixing things . Love watching tronicsfix but it’s nice to see a variety in content
It's great to see ladies doing electronic work, maybe board level repairs, & walking us through her procedures! Great fix! Nice nails!
Wooooowww!!! I really loved this video! Finally got to see Tronix Fix’s wife! Someone who, for sure, has supported you through everything! Keep it up! You guys are awesome. I always love your videos! Let her try a ps4 pro cleaning!
I've seen steve fix so many things now and learned a lot but small things such as the technique to un plug and re plug that ribbon cable i missed and such a video where the process was slow and the questions asked actually made me realise that i didnt pick up on such techniques before and learned something new in this video,
Nintendo definitely makes things difficult on their consoles, such as the 3ds and this seemed difficult but not too difficult, definitely great that steve is there to help in the tricky parts, I too got confused in a couple of areas so it was a good learning process watching a beginner attempt this repair.
Absolutely awesome video concept! That was so much fun to watch and possibly the best ad for ifixit.
This was such a sweet and wholesome video! She did super great! And I would've probably asked the same questions. Better to get it right 😅
Thank you! It was fun to do. - Jessica
What a great video! Awesome job Jessica! I knew you could do it! You have one of the best teachers to guide you!
VERY inspiring! Now I don't feel as worried or scared to try and fix one myself Thank you Ms. Tronics 😁
What a wholesome video! I was just smiling throughout the whole thing. Love this.
I love how honest she was about the tools and guide. Because I would think ifix it would like the feedback on how to improve.
Steve being super proud is the best part… great job Jessica!! Nice to see you on here.. such a fun video guys
Jessica you did fantastic! It's always nerve racking the first time you have to mess with tiny, unfamiliar components like this and you did great!
Thanks! It was pretty stressful... but fun! - Jessica
This was really cute; I enjoyed seeing the two work together. Thank-you for this video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Definitely need more of these, Jess did awesome and was an amazing +1 for the video! Much love and support from Little Rock🤘🏼🤘🏼
This was so inspiring I decided to finally attempt to repair my switch that got a bit wet from an accidental overfill of some plants…😂. Took about a half hour and I followed the ifixit guides and THIS video… I was able to successfully clean out the left rails connector that was corroded. Saved me from buying a new switch. Already a subscriber, and without your videos I wouldn’t have had the ability knowhow or guts to attempt it let alone pull it off. THANK YOU TO YOU BOTH. Awesome new content
They have chemistry and this was such a feel good video for a Friday! I know me and my wife bicker when doing task, but I am going to show her this video to her!
Your wife did well and didn't let stress affect her. I had to change a gas valve on the stove recently. The was copious amounts of wine involved for her
Ha, ha, that would make me nervous!
Aw I'd love to do something like this. I'd love to be able to fix my own stuff, but I'm always just too worried I'd do something wrong and make it worse so end up just going to a shop to fix it instead. Having someone watch and guide, but largely actually leave it up to you to do and just offering help when needed would give me so much confidence to take on other tasks!
One advice I can give you is to start small. If you have any electrical device thats broken, tear it apart. Maybe you‘ll find the fault, or at least you‘ll understand how it works. You have nothing to lose, since it‘s already broken and you can‘t make it worse. That’s how I started. I couldn’t fix it, but I learned. I‘m far away from Steve though. It is big fun to bring dead tech back to live. My first repair was a 20“ LCD monitor w/o backlight I got for free. I replaced two bulging capacitors and there was light again. Since I had a CRT at that time, it was a big step up.
Love to see more of her on your videos. Makes me see that anyone can try to fix things with guides.
Awesome Video ! i really enjoyed it all.
I was waiting patiently for the perfect amount of thermal paste ...
this is a wholesome video
This was a wholesome video your wife is very entertaining would love to see her more in future videos!
A natural!!! I usually remove those connections (speaker and power connections) with my hands by gently pulling all the wires. I haven't broken a connection yet!
That was great!
Long time watcher, but first time commenter here (I'm 99% sure ahaha)
It's always fun watching the pro do it, (I find it super relaxing to watch) but this was really exciting to watch her do it as I could relate to the slight hesitation at certain steps and also following the guide closely :)
And I won't be mad if more videos like this gets sprinkled in here and there :D
I don't usually comment on videos, but I love this! you two are couple goals. thank you for making me smile in tough times
That was really fun to watch. It be cool if you did this every so often. Also it’s cool to see how difficult some things can be (and shouldn’t be) when done by someone who isn’t an expert, but they can still be done.
Fantastic video. You two have great chemistry and it's nice to see a non-expert (no offence) have the same little moments of doubt most of us feel when doing a project like this. If you decide to do more uploads like this I personally think it would be great.
Love your channel and videos. Having your wife doing this video is genius!. 1. Her level of experience and nervousness matches most of your viewers, I'm sure. And it's nice to see someone feel that way and then actually do the job. 2. She is GREAT on camera especially paired with you (you 2 are a great couple) and 3. Her personality puts a smile on people's faces. Do more of these please. I wish I can subscribe for a second time. /hello Mrs. Tronics.
This video is so wholesome, would love to see more of you and your wife doing stuff together 😄
She did a great job! It's fun to see you and her on a video. You guys work well together. 😄
Great idea! I think it shows well how much one can accomplish with the right tools and instructions, even with little experience!
A heartwarming video! Always fun to see tech getting repaired :)
That was a fun, genuine video. Nice to throw a little variety in.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wholesome, sweet and talented people. This is why I am here, thank you.
She's adorable when she's nervous lol It's good to see her again! It's been a while since that live stream! We love TronicsWife!
This was actually so adorable :D She did a wonderful job
Thank you! So glad you liked it. - Jessica
Seeing their interactions is actually really cute lol this was a great video idea and I’d love to see more like this
Jessica got some respect, that was a great repair, and even took the w with the cards 😂
The chemistry between you two is just wonderful to see. 😊
This is a good thing really because it shows people that some things can be done without having to be an expert and with a little guidance some things can be achieved think this would be a good segment to the channel Steve .👍from the uk
You both work well together. Fun video. Hope you both do more of them together in future.
Adorable and very nice. Seeing someone attempt their first repair will forever be entertaining.
I've been too busy to watch many of your videos lately but this was fun and I'd watch more. I liked seeing the "boring" parts left in; I understand why they're cut when it's just you though. 💅
That was a cool video. Those ribbon cables can be a nightmare. By watching your videos I was able to completely clean my old PS4 and I too applied the perfect amount of thermal paste. I love your videos. I will be looking forward to the next one.
It looks like TronicsWife is making an awesome impression on the fanbase. Someone without the experience also working with tech. Well Done and it was a fun video. Her contribution made it worth commenting, Keep on fixing things 🎉
We need more of these TronixWife's Challenges! Loved it!
Great job Jessica! Seeing you doing the fixing with a guide gives me some confidence to do some maintenance on my older consoles.
Thanks! It was definitely tricky but having a guide helps a lot. It felt amazing when it all worked in the end. I hope you give it a try yourself. Good luck! - Jessica
this was soooo wholesome!!! she is so sweeeeet!! yall look so good together
found this vid between matches on apex legends and just had to pause gaming to watch lol loved this content with your wife and we definitely need an update on what she's buying with those 200$!
Nice video! I have done a bunch of repairs on my laptop, and a few consoles, particularly Nintendo DSs, and I can relate with the adrenaline hitting hard while doing a repair for the first time... And the second, and sometimes even the third xD.
