We always mixed white clover with grass seed. So beautiful together!
My LGD climbed a 6’ high wall when she was two year old, so we extended to 7’. Now she’s older and doesn’t have the same energy but l wouldn’t have a fence or wall less than 6’. Also, your LGD’s need to be in with their goats. They’ll soon get used to their responsibility again. 😊
My dad taught me to always lightly seed wheat seed over the perennial grass. It comes up in about three days and does 3 things. It protects the grass seeds from the birds, shades the grass seed, and lays down a fast root system to help with erosion. And wheat is cheap.
Can't say it enough... storm shelter??? Needs some priority... right along with taking care of the animals..looking good for them. At least let us know you are thinking about it...?? Electric fencing across the top?
Fantastic!! The doggo’s pen is awesome. I’m sorry the “guard” dogs escaped. Could you attach chicken wire to the top part? 🤕😣🙄
Dog hot wire on the top. It'll teach em not to jump
Also, with the coops located against the fence it wil be easy for dogs & goats to jump on coop & out.
You could panels of boarding inside the fence so the guard dogs can’t get their paws in the fence and get out.
I would find a fence that would keep the goats in with their shelter ! There has to be something to keep them in ! They will eat all your new grass !😊
They leave the gate open during the day.
@@jeffmiller7277I would put the goats in their pen while putting out seed and then a lot put a live wire around the top to keep their animals in. After a time or two of being zapped they’ll quit trying to get out. You’re not going to have any grass if the goats are allowed to run around.
I had goats alot of them n they never ate all the grass they love trees plants more lol they were little fkrs they'd run to me every morning soon as they new I was awake. They always broke out one way or another n the pigs every now n then. Hahaha that's what they do its no ones fault 😊 God I miss them all
That's to funny them dogs got out in 30 seconds.
Packer and Cowboy need a fence 8 ft tall, solid link all the way up. No gaps or railings like what you got. OR back to the Shock Collars for those 2 till they learn they have boundaries.
It’s going to work! I hope you get some sunshine to help it grow. I can’t wait to see it grow. The area look so nice already.
I'd like how the goats kept going into the grass seeds. I counted 11 times that they got into the seed and had been scared away from the seed. One bag of grass seed had covered almost 1 acre.
Put electric wire along top of figs fencing to stop the LGD’s from getting out… hope the grass seed works guys
Oh no Danielle! I hope you didn’t have a big puncture wound❤ I hope we get to see who gets Hank and that send good updates❤❤
You just built them a ladder with doghouses and fencing. Take a cattle panel cut in half length wise and wire to the top of pen. I have animal sanctuary and none of my 30 dogs get out of their pens
Back of dog houses face north where worst of storms come from that direction
Goats eating the seeds might work out for the better. When they poop they will poop out fertilized grass sees and it will grow better.😊 We had mischevous dogs. Good luck keeping them in the cage. Maybe put something bkocking the top, like some kind of wire or screen
Wow those Dogs are Smart😉😅 They got out Fast 👍🤩Well if a coyotee comes around,Dogs will get them 👍The pen,Dog houses look Great, and the cleared land looks Awesome 👍Like a little Cleared out Meadow, Beautiful 😍❤️
The goats stealing the seeds 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yeah and then all the free range and chickens will be eating it and the birds you got to put seed down mulcstraw
@@NORMANMORRISON1940 I’m still laughing at them every time they turned around they got some more 😂😂
I hope this works for you and I can wait to see what you choose for girlfriends for Breakfast and the big boy at Junos.
Nice video guys .. enjoy watching you two .. luv from Gatlinburg Tennessee... From us, to you.
Like the dog area, those goats were a hoot while planting. Lots of goat shenanigans I imagine everyday lol
Jason and Danielle ❤❤❤❤❤❤.
J & D, one thing y'all must remember is that Great Pyreness bark at night. Our GP, Waffles and out Anatonian Shepard, Bisquit, both bark at night. Just the way God made them 🙂
Great job guys! Those little hand spreaders are not terribly useful for such a large area, but it’s easier on the hands than grabbing fistfuls of seed. Y’all needed a wagon to carry the bag around with you as you moved across the yard, not only to make sure you had an even distribution without too much at the spot the bag was sitting, but also to keep the bag close enough to you that the goats couldn’t get into it. Those sneaky beasts! Hope it comes up lush and green!
There is a spreader that you push around
That’s what we used
And we used pieces of sod
And it was trailing and growing in no time
The pieces of sod helped so much in holding soil with rain
Good evening Jason & Danielle
The new dog pen looks great.
Get some cattle panels and weld them to the top part.
I love Daniel’s comment; Remember, always cut towards yourself, lol.
You are getting lots done. Wow!
Will look good and stop the mud. Good luck guys!! 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
When you first seed, you don't want a gulley washer, cuz it'll wash your seed downlhlll. Ideal is a light rain. Y'all are definitely making headway.
😎👍
You can take pieces of tegular fence wiring & wire to that narrow section of fence where the guards are shimming out, wire it all way found the fence (a section at a time-- so you can still take it apart) and I'd be willing to bet they won't be ABLE to get out... Ta Da! 💪😄 👍 14:14
Really looking forward to see if the grass comes up, that would look so nice
Hey guys you don't have to walk backwards when your putting it on you can walk on it until it starts sprouting
Excellent job the pen for dogs, you should build the exact same one for the goats too! Love your all your channels and love the videos! Lots of Canadian Love Coming Your Way ❤️🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦❤️
I would line the driveway with the logs.
Good job Danielle and Jason. 👍👍👏👏🥹🥹
That’s a nurse for ya.. mad over the new jeans not the cut 😂
I was told by the lawn people that you have to over seed for it to work because half the seeds are duds. I tried it and wowza it did work. The section of my lawn I did it looks better than the rest of the lawn. Just a thought. Fingers crossed it works. 😊
ok, I'll update my last suggestion :-) those buggas are determined and you don't want any extra wires and such..... a 6' high chain link fence pen and gate for the dogs should work for keeping them in and still look nice... if you had to go higher than that you would put concertina wire on top and have a "dogatraz" for them :-)
Absolutely love the dog set up
Those goats are going to be pooping grass seeds for a week all over the place. It's looking so nice out there guys. Great job. I can't wait to see all the grass come up. Grass just cleans up a yard like new paint on the wall. Love y'all. Oh Danielle take care of that stab wound and get an updated Tetanus shot.
Its looking good boy those goats sure are persistant.
God Bless from your Canadian Friend.
❤LOS PERROS ESTAN MUY BIEN EN ESE ,LUGAR LES MANDO. MUCHOS. CARINOS❤
You both are doing a great job on the property and all the animals are looking good
Mating season. We back up on 2 sides to miles of forest and our Houdini Maremma's either jump or dig their way out of a 5' no climb deer fence to get those Coyotes. The barking is to ward off the predator's and their defense. We haven't seen bear or cougar on our property since we got them and the dogs can smell them all from miles away. If you have digger, s put down the deer fencing flat to the ground, about 4' across strips 2' showing on either side of the fence and bury with rock. Jumpers need a bigger fence or add on to it with the no climb and some wood posts in the ground to stabilize because a slight push can bring what you have down. Maybe even attach a no climb roof to the area. They will fight tooth and nail to make sure they are protecting the goats and you, the goats rely on them to keep them safe, they need to be together.
Jason Danielle you need a spreader they shoot a 4 ft by 4 ft a covers 4 ft on one side and covers another 4 ft on the other side when you go down the middle it covers will cover 4 ft on both sides
😊everything looking great guys😊
When the LGD’s did the same thing at ShootDang Ranch- didn’t they stop when they had a larger pasture & stayed inside? 💜 I hope the grass all germinates with the wet ground & warm sun.
The grass should work out, we did it here on our homestead and it was the cheapest way and was very nice about 7 days we could see it sprouting. Thank you for sharing. Till next time God Bless.
Yeah Hank! You Go Boy!
Jason I am confused! Why in the world don't you trench out a ditch to the well pump from the power pole and wire your well? You need power to the grain binn, the barn, and anything else you plan. Why do you not run underground lines and then you can build. Can not figure out why you don't want to get this done.
Your property is looking beautiful it looks like a park good job !!! You two are a great team
You folks need to invest in a fence charger. Electricity in training is an amazing tool and asset. And Jason what happened to the saw mill??? You got enough trees to make some good rough cut lumber???
Those livestock guardians are a hoot.
I have always found that for drought-tolerant grass, Bermuda is the best. This is especially true if all you want is grass for a yard. Once you're ready to plant pasture fodder, check with the local Ag extension office for what does best in your area.
How about getting the same pen and adding onto your dog pen. Then the goats can stay with their guardian dogs where they feel safe.
Packer says “let me show you guys how this is done” 🤦♀️. 😂😂. Dog area is awesome otherwise. .. gonna be so exciting when that grass starts popping up!
The Girls say YUMMY! Grass SEEDS! 🤣🤣🤣 200' by 200' is just shy of an acre (208' by 208' is a square acre).
Those goats are hilarious seed stealers 😂😂
You raised those dogs and goats together. They need to stay together. Make a pen that will hold goats and LGDs. Other dogs can be in the pen you just built. Also, LGDs bark. That is what they do. That is how they keep predators away. I feel safer knowing my LGDs are barking. If disturbing your sleep, get a sound machine. Works for me. 😊
They don't NEED to stay together.
They know the guardian pups bark to keep predators away..the reason why they got them
😂😂
@@tammywragg6254 and if you watched the video he Said there not doing what they are supposed to. And that they keep running off
@bobbyb4761
Yea I watched it..comment above said they bark..well no duh..of course they do its what they are supposed to do is bark like the other night on the live when the Coyotes were howling..it's what they do..all animals on many ppls property run off at one point ..it's life
Can’t wait to see your land when it looks like a park
ANY CRITTER DOORS.....
Do not face the doors North South ,or easy... yes face them west
North =Cold East + south= STORMS
Get 8 foot gates and stand them up 8 foot high and weld cattle panels to it. Use several to enclose the dog pen.
Yeah buddy. Place looks amazing.. we will get there one day. Can’t wait will this weather dries up it’s a mud fest out here can’t get anything done.
Looks great!😊
The grass will never grow as long the goats are free ranching bro
Thats alright, let them eat it. Rye Grass will be dead when the temps start hitting 90 degrees.
Howdy 🤠 awesome video as always love ❤️ you both
I'm glad I hit the like button BEFORE the stab happened. One question, though: wouldn't it be better to cut the knees out of your new jeans when your legs aren't IN 'em?!
🤔😬
New Dog City is looking good!
The dogs may use the edge of the water trough to jump over the fence
Howdy y’all, y’all’s place is looking awesome. I do have a suggestion on the new dog area, it looks great but maybe if you added two or three lines of hot wire on the area where your lg dogs climb out at wld definitely keep them in. It would definitely teach them not to climb cuz they would get zapped right on the nose, might be a little cruel but it wouldn’t take long for them learn quick, and it would also definitely teach them not stand on the fence at all. Two, three on the top, also one on the bottom so they won’t learn dig out. It might help, good luck. Hope Danielle didn’t stab herself to bad and heals quick. ✌🏼Y’all stay safe.
Your grass seed will grow. Just keep throwing it out there and watering it and it will come up. Can't put too much down. Love all the goats and dogs ❤
I'm glad you are alright Danielle. Your new jeans, oh no !! Maybe try turning them inside out and pouring hydrogen peroxide over the blood stain, let it completely drain through and do it again. It works for most stains I run across. If it don't completely get it out, try soaking it for 30 minutes to an hour. My fingers are crossed. Oh, hi Jason. Thumbs up and love from S. California.
"Always cut towards yourself"...Kids, don't try this at home (or anywhere else)😅😂 Cowboy and Packer should be with the goats and other animals, that's their breed, their job. You should work towards that goal, keeping them as LGD. I know, you've already been told this, old news. Next time ya'll seed, get a fertilizer spreader, it works marvelously as a seed slinger..😂😅 Love ya'll ❤️
Hi Jason and Danielle. The property looks very nice. Have a great Friday and be safe. Love you both💕💕
Fantastic
Awesome Some Dang Meet Up !
Put the dog hours on the out side of fence more room for dogs cut hole in fence for door to house just my thought don’t matter your place keep up the great work have fun
Run ya a solar powered hot wire around the top of that pen..they will learn to stay in.
Looks good all the mowing and clean up and grass seed, let it rain and get these seeds sprouting. Dog area looks good also, silly cowboy and packer 🐾🐾👍
suggestion check out Eddy family homestead the dog pens that they are using for chickens
note they are taller 7 or 8 ft
coming in pre assembled panels can customize to sgft sizes
Get a patch to put on your jeans 😊
Hey Yall put some hay over grass seed, so birds won’t eat it a rain won’t wash it away. Alabama
Jason and Danielle ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Stop Spamming!
They may have done the message but it didn't show up so did it again... I've had that happen before. I wouldn't do it 4 more times though lol
Put straw/old hay to cover seed, it will protect against birds/animals from eating the grass seed.
Put a rock to close top of seeds...til you need to get in.
Unless you get all those tree roots from the former tree that were removed, new trees gonna pop up.
Hello 👋 ❤❤ love you guy's ❤❤
UPDATE ON THE DOG DOWN THE STREET THAT LOST HIS HOME ?

Thanks For Looking J & D !
May The Lord Bless Us All ! ! !
You need the same for the goats and guardian dogs but higher.
Parallel to the tank structure.
Wow it’s looking good at Sometime Ranch the goats are so happy and the dog enclosure is perfect for them best idea you have done a great job. So happy for you and the animals. Danielle hope you are ok we all have an old scar somewhere on our bodies because we didn’t cut away from ourselves lol. Stay safe great video Jason. 💙💙👍👍🇦🇺🇦🇺💙🥰🥰🐐🐐🐐🐖🐖🐶🐶
Looking good on the farm, them girls are rotten and spoiled lol!!!😁❤
Maybe 6ft fence for goats & guardian dogs
Man those guard dogs are escape artist. Guess y’all need a 10x10x10 kennel for goats and guard dogs. 🤔🙄
Should have got hold of a bike spreader for the seed
Lol the doggie book nook
easy fix for the dogs escaping..... tie strap 3' wide wire hardware cloth ( 1/2" squares) along the whole fence from the top rail down... put a lot of tie straps long the top and bottom edges of the hardware cloth onto the fence... they won't be able to climb out because they can't get their feet into the holes and unless they can actually jump the fence clean over the top they won't be able to climb out
🤣🤣🤣
If you have to reseed, before putting the seed down. Take a heavy rack and cut furlough so that the seed falls down into them. Then with a leaf rack light rack dirt over the seed. This will help keep the seed in place from washing away. As always stay safe, stay healthy and keep your powder dry 🤙🤙😎🤙🤙
You two did good! It looks amazing with all the trimming and grass seeding! Love the dogs new digs too! With the exception of the LGD's the pen should hold the rest of the pups🤞I think they need to be with their goats. Heck they'd probably dig a hole to China to get to them 😘LOL But the place is looking spiffy👍💖👏
