    This worked. I had a very stubborn flywheel on a 120hp Chrysler outboard from the 70's and this gave me the confidence to use a BFH and it took quite a bit of hammering, but I got it. Thanks.

    I broke 9 grade 8 bolt in my balance puller one in the fly wheel drilled it tapped tried again got it good n tight then my threads gave any ideas to help wish I saw this video before had

      that's a tough one.. hm... do you still have the ability to thread in all your bolts? if not I'd advise drilling larger holes in the flywheel and tapping for a larger thread size, but be careful about getting metal shavings stuck to your flywheel magnet.

      @@NyFordguy thanks, that thing had me stumped for a couple years so I avoided rebuilding the engine... it just needed FAR more solid mounting hardware, as it turns out.

      @@nybergsgarage absolutely I had one that wouldn't budge and I finally had a friend with a hotter torch and some transmission fluid was used. Able to get it then. I think hirth tapers are more aggressive and really bite onto the flywheel bore hard!
