    I bought into the hype of this chair and I’ve had it for 3 weeks. I’ve been sitting on it for 10-12hrs/day 7 days a week and I have not felt any pain. I came from the Steelcase Series 1 chair that my company purchased for me to work from home but after 3hrs my tailbone would start to hurt. Since I have been sitting in the chair, the pain has gone away and I felt no pain whatsoever. This was the best money that I have spent on a chair. It is by far the best chair out in the market apart from the Aeron Gaming chair. I don’t have that chair but I would like to have it. I think the Embody is still better than the Aeron because it is a one size fits all whereas the Aeron is only for certain size. I love my chair!

    I think the chair misses a "forward tilt" function to properly support a player. When gamers "try hard" they lean forward, so the backrest remains sort of useless.
    If there was a forward tilt function, people who lean forward while gaming and trying hard to win would actually be supported in that endeavor.
    I hope one day there'll be a version of an embody chair with the forward tilt. It would make me buy the chair instantly.

      On offerup. I got lucky tho, the guy just happened to have one and I was gonna buy a mirra2 for 500 off him but he showed up with the Embody because he thought it would be better for me. Then I asked if he could fo 400... I don't see embody for any less than 800 usually. Its got a couple little scratches on the right arm I kind of buffed out with some car products but other than that its perfect-its grey fabric, translucent back, black base, with silver metal legs. I love it. The chair really absolutely helped my back. I had really bad back pain before from sitting for even a short time.

      It’s basically a less expensive model with more features than the more expensive normal base model with slight changes to the lumbar support. It’s a better deal IMO

    • @ightimmaheadout290
      @ightimmaheadout290 Před 3 lety +1

      @@Scragg- basically the Logitech has thicker cushion and is "copper infused" that makes it cooler and more breathable. Also the lumbar support "forces" you to sit more upright or forward (because competitive gamers tend to lean forward when playing) as opposed to the original embody which is more relaxed and laid back. I also heard about the original being more expensive but being cheaper usually through your local authorized dealers, I don't know if that's true or not

      @@ightimmaheadout290 I managed to get a good deal on a brand new original embody, it seems for force me to sit straight enough tbh I don’t think there is much of an actual difference between them besides maybe the padding. In any case the one I got is comfortable enough so I’m happy with it

    • @iHustleLXXXI
      @iHustleLXXXI Před 3 lety +3

      Logitech’s version is more padded and stiffer for gamers than the original embody but other than that they are essentially the same chairs. I got mine for $1100 shipped with tax included and that’s why I purchased mine. I was not about to spend $2k on a chair so when the opportunity arose I jumped on it. I am not the type to buy anything used. Call me superficial but I think it’s nasty. Plus, the Logitech’s version is limited edition so if I want to sell it at a a later time the value will still be there. Logitech’s model is fully loaded whereas the regular embody is customizable to an extent. I have been sitting in my chair for over 2 weeks now and I have not had any more back pain or pain in my tailbone like I had when I was using my Steelecase Series 1 chair. This chair is worth $1100 to me but I would really have to think hard about paying $2k for the chair but I think at the end of the day, I would.

      @@iHustleLXXXI don’t make the same mistake I did by tightening the front knob all the way to keep it from leaning back at all and fucking up your neck. You need to have it at least a little bit loose so that it can actually conform to your back and flex.
      Front knob - tension to conform with back arch and flex
      Back knob - forward + back lean.
      I was using front knob all the way tense and using the back lean to compensate for the lack of an arch with that setting and it really screwed up my neck, I just realized last night that I had been using it completely wrong and did basically the opposite settings and I’m feeling much better already
      Edit: it took a few weeks using the wrong settings to start feeling pain

    What’s the scientific reason for no headrest or any neck support. The only thing holding me back from this chair currently using Aeron with Atlas head rest. A must for my neck disability. I can’t sit more than 5 minutes at a time but my current chair is by far the easiest.

    • @unity20000
      @unity20000 Před 2 lety +1

      What I understand from the reviews is that this chair is designed to be used at a very slightly/naturally backward inclined position to hold the spine in the correct position. It seems like you don't need a headrest at such a position since you would be looking at the monitor with your head very slightly forward, therefore your head would be hanging in the air without pressure. That's what it says in the specs of the chair on their website.

      Atlas are making a headrest for Embody too, but I guess there will be a few more months before it's out. This is also currently what's holding me back from getting an Embody, because I would really like a headrest for when I want to lean back and relax a bit. I'm kinda waiting with getting a new chair until the Atlas Embody headrest is out, so I can know if it's good or if I'm better off getting a different chair entirely.

    I believe the Aeron is the superior chair in many ways (assuming you've found the correct size for you and can live with the static arms) however I couldn't get used to the hard frame around the seat which made me return it.
    I got an Embody after that and of course it doesn't have that sort of problem. I miss the forward tilt of the Aeron though and the Embody is very poorly built for the high price tag. All plastic with lots of sharp edges everywhere, the whole construction isn't very confidence inspiring but that's what the warranty is for I suppose. It's a comfy chair but it lacks freedom of adjustment which makes it hard to recommend. You just have to test the two and see for yourself, both are quite controversial.
