- please watch and listen carefully, understanding this will help you in the long run string names top to bottom. I have been through quiet a bit meaning getting paralyzed in 2009 not abusing alcohol or drugs, If you spoke to 10 professional musicians they would all tell you they spent countless hours alone practicing, that's what it takes to improve, there are a lot of alternate tunings drop D, D Standard Drop B etc. This video shows A440 E standard tuning. have a great weekend, thanks for watching please like and subscribe.

Good to know this, glad I could help
Very good to have this skill in your bag. I've seen plenty of guitarist that don't have this knowledge and I can remember when I was finally able to do this 👍🏻it was amazing ! Then when I learned to do the same with harmonics 🤯
Thanks for spreading the seeds of guitar knowledge. Hoping we all grow into beautiful music
@@jjohnson269 you are very correct, that is why I put this video out. I hadn’t seen any others teaching this so I thought I would mention it to help the younger generation. Thank you for the reply, I’ll subscribe to your channel.. have a good day🤘🏻😊
Buddy of mine from NY , Greg Smith (who’s played bass for Alice Cooper, Rainbow, Ted Nugent, Vinnie Moore ) pointed out the old land line phone dial tone in North America was an F and an A … and the A was a perfect 440. so I always used that to get the A string in tune and then tuned the rest from there. Bring back dial tones! Lol. Good vid
that's a cool story, thanks for sharing bro!!
I subscribed to your channel, nice improvising with the Strat, please add me thank you
People don't know this? It must be a generation dependent on electronic tuners. Old guitar players always had to do this.
I agree. Exactly why I've been lately solely using an A tuning fork as reference. Then using my A string* to tune the remainder of my instrument.
* becauase it's under the greatest tensile load
If I break a string , that's a lesson learned.
unfortunately way too many GUITAR CENTER pro's don't know this ...LOL
