Nissan might be like ford where they are willing to give out their licencing. You want to build the base for future consumers. Come in to see the GTR, leave with a Altima.

Pretty much
I still remember first seeing the rx7 in NFS underground, shits too beautiful... It also has p-p-p-pop-up up n down headlights!!!!!
@Buck same here
This is stupid from toyota, take for instance i believe atleast 80% of the current Nissan GT-R owners are the people who drove a gtr in a video game as a kid and fell in love with it, that is how people fall in love with a brand...
And it's crazy how Nissan has a very cult following with their GTRs from the R32 to the R35. Gran Turismo made everybody in America want a R32,33,34
Not that I agree it's right for them to pull their brand, but by that light, all the Toyota models people would drive in games are no longer in production and would lead people to be potentially disappointed in Toyota's 2018 lineup I guess. At least the GT-R is still in current production. Any sales generated by old Toyota models being present in games wouldn't be going to them, but rather third party importers and private sellers. Again, I think it's silly too, but I guess I can almost see where they're coming from. More sensibly, rather than being reclusive, they could open up their performance lineup again by reintroducing some discontinued models or creating some new ones. Sorry, but a GT86 is not enough to fill the gap alone. With the craze for small cars as strong as ever and the MX-5 still going strong into it's 4th generation, a reboot of the MR2 or something similar could be very beneficial to both Mazda and Toyota.
It's why I bought an rx7
Accurate as fuck. F&F and need for speed made me fall in love with the gtr. Don't have one in real life as I'm not made of money but every racing game I've ever owned I have one in my garage
@@michaelscott8267 yep, video games are one of the main reason why the gt-r has such a cult following, because that is the only way for young kids to drive them and they start to aspire them and when they grow up and could afford one they will buy it, that is why you see a lot of " Bought a gt-r at age 18 " kind of videos on youtube.

I don’t want the GT-R or Civic Type R to go away just because some businessman in Japan wants to blame his declining sales on video games.

Mr Oversteer Might be Takumi's car when he travels to the USA.
*muffled eurobeat american anthem plays at the distance*
Well, try with the Subaru BR-Z which its the closest thing to related to the AE86.
Today I have an STI a dream car for me that started with the Gran Turismo game. Games are great vehicles for publicity, after all teenagers grow, but the admiration for cars does not change.
EA: Meanwhile hey Toyota can we add somecars to our newgame (RealRacing3)
Toyota: no
EA: C'mon
Toyota:only the 2014 hybrid so we would look cool
2014 hybrid makes toyota seems like their a small tuning shop too me
Well at least they did have some nascars as well (they're time limited though)
@@ministig63ace i really cant remember wtf i wrote

It's not underrated nor overrated

Midnight Club 3 was awesome!!!!! I miss that game so much.
Nope Midnight Club:LA all day everyday
Midnight club 2 had the better soundtrack IMO
Check it out my channel I still play it
Jotaro Kujo you gotta be jokin
MystikGaming hope you still playing it. 👍👍👍
Midnight Club 2 also had some amazing sound tracks !!
7:05 i just want a damn tacoma ngl
I'm a aussie guy and I love my racing games, but one thing that has really been irritating me is that Forza has had little to no Holdens in their games. And even know Forza Horizon 3 is based in Australia it damn near infuriated me that there was very little Holdens & majority of the Fords were American. Like come on since Horizon 3 was based in Australia it would make you think there would be a lot of Australian made cars but no
I'm an Aussie and i agree. i also play on ps4 so there are no games that have Aussie cars.
Forza needs to get licences for cars to add them in, they probably tried to get all the holdens in but holden probably said no.
wheres me fucking ford vs holden event
There is a lot of them in fm7. They are usually all the same car with no actual racing potential what so ever so why put more? edit: typo
Due to froza being forza no matter what car it is big or small if u have the credits it could have to potential to eat any car. Don't matter if its got real life racing potential or not, everything has potential in forza
Screw it!
UP TO SPEED ON RUF!
@everyone
Anyone know the music that start at 1:02 ?
It's after the song Real Big by Mannie Fresh 😊
If it wasn't for playing Gran Turismo back in 97, I wouldn't be a "car guy" today. It introduced me to so many cars and manufacturers I've never heard of until then. RUF and the Skyline GTR comes to mind.
I bought Forza 7 just to realize Toyota wasnt in it 😣😣
What would you even want to drive thou
They are just the cars licensed from other companies like TRD and NASCAR.
happend to me with the crew 2 and subaru
I wanted it too
Thats why its always stupid to buy a game as fast as possible. Wait a few months and the price will sink
Someone please send this to Toyota HQ
Lucas Silva they won’t do it
Never
@@H3llfire320 Who won't do what?

As a high-school freshman during the time of Gran Turismo 1, that game series defined much of my teenage life. I knew how to sweep my overpowered, meticulously-tuned Mitsubishi GTO through Deep Forest with skill and ease before I even got my learner's permit. I would challenge and trade cars with friends, all whilst bearing this warm, fuzzy feeling knowing that our little 8 MB Memory Cards had millions of dollars worth of highly-personalized automotive hardware in digital form. We would pompously discuss the pros and cons of Preludes and Eclipses despite never actually sitting in either vehicle (or, you know, being old enough to drive one). We were dumb kids who developed our fascination with cars in a virtual world, and for some of us this fascination would continue into adulthood. And here you are. All of you.

I know that Toyota doesn't have any sporty sporty or fun cars aside from the 86 (which aside from its looks, isn't that sporty,) but Toyota has intentions to change that over the next few years. Evidence of that is the Supra and the sportier Carolla they are releasing next year. Plus, I read somewhere the TRD had said they are trying to make Toyota's line up more exciting.
The 86 is plenty sporty, it just isn't a drag car.
@@KaitouKaiju Exactly it was made to be a car for the track. It is also a good platform to enter the tuning scene along side its twins: the BRZ and FRS.
I would agree that it is a good platform. But I think the stock options for the 86 are a bit disappointing. I would like it a lot better if it had a more extreme version like the impreza does.
First of all, it's Corolla. But you're right! I just hope Toyota improves their lineup of cars because everybody thinks their cars are boring.
Aaron Wright Lexus IS where the good cars are tho
Aah nfs underground 2 in the beginning!! I still play that game, man!
Assetto Corsa has 9 models from Toyota, including their prototype TS 040 hybrid. Some of those models are just tuned versions, so 5 base models + tuned.
As far as i know they were never removed from AC (and re-added later). Probably because AC (official content*) only has closed course racing circuits and closed street circuits with no traffic.
*you can download mods for traffic and an open world map if you have Assetto Corsa on PC... then you can street race in an officially licensed Toyota.
IVE ALWAYS WONDERED WHY IT WAS RUF IN FORZA HORIZON ONE OH MY GOD THIS IS AMAZING!
Isn't that also in need for speed? Can't quite remember to confirm tho. Edit: the need for speed 2015, I know need for speed had that deal with Porsche but really have it in mind in seeing ruf in the game.
Also in The Crew
@@popsmkiii it was never in any NFS Games because Porsche gave EA an exclusive License for their cars throughout about 1998 and ended in 2016
@@deathaero9149 yes I know, but didnt it became ruf on need for speed 2015 when the contract ended? I'm pretty sure I remember seeing ruf back when I played it last year
@@popsmkiii Well they wouldn't change it if the game is already out before the contract ended, so they're still there. I never saw RUF there. You sure it's not something else you're thinking of?
They would just mess up the sound of the 2JZ anyways
Gaming On Adderall Maybe that’s the real reason why Toyota isn’t in it. Pg are scared to mess up that sound for the 4th time
@Deez Nuts to me it souded more like 350z vq
@@mustafakhuzaima9722 no the 350z from underground 2 sounds like a 350z lmao. The 2jz in it wasn't great sounding, but not terrible. NFS actually has relatively nice sounds overall.
