Pregnant in Remote Alaska | Our Infertility & Pregnancy Story

- Baby Leonard was due on December 12th! But today, I did a little storytime while we continue to wait on the baby. Who knows, maybe he/she is already here?
I made this video at about 38 weeks pregnant so that we could have a little buffer time heading into town for our delivery. As we've said before, we are going to the town our birth center is in for two weeks starting on the due date. This will give us plenty of time for the baby to be late, for us both to recover and take a breath before heading back to the woods.
I haven't shared a lot about the pregnancy or our history of infertility here. We don't want to turn our channel into 100% a family / "look at our children" channel. But, the kids will be a huge part of the homestead so a little background is fun to share.
Today, I'm sharing a bit about our 5 years of infertility struggles with my PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) and how we ended up getting help from an amazing fertility clinic.

From there, I share a bit more about how sick I truly was for the first half of the pregnancy and how it has affected our Alaskan adventures! At the end, I share a few gifts we received recently and have to do a huge shoutout to everyone who has sent stuff. I will never stop being amazed at how kind everyone is.
I know this is not our typical video so I did not make it too long or try to bore anyone with too many details. But, we wanted to keep posting through this time in our lives and it gave my super-pregnant self something to do indoors!

I saw your announcement that you had your precious baby and it was a boy! Hope your recovering from your C section. I am excited your letting your little one be apart of your homestead life. Especially since it is a boy! I can just see daddy in about 6 months having him with him on the tractor or on his back fishing. Or you, but boys in the open land of Alaska, tend to be daddy's boys, always wanting to follow daddy around. Of course you will be right there with them, as you both are such hard workers. Again CONGRATULATIONS!

Enjoy every minute of every day! They grow up so fast and before you know it they’re grown. I started at 15 and mine are all grown now with babies of their own. Your not too young you’re just right, hopefully there will be more, but if not that’s okay! God gives you just what you need! Enjoy your little blessing! ❤
I enjoy the channel because you kids are real people. There are a bunch of Alaska channels that you can tell people came into it with a butt load of money or are just straight up fake like plastic. You two on the other hand are just a couple of normal people with normal resources trying to build a new life to raise your family - that's what's cool about your channel. She is having her gender reveal party in two hours so then we will know what she is having! Hoping for a girl! She went to the Dr to find out what was wrong. She thought she had covid. they ran tests and surprise...she was pregnant!!! I am so excited for her! Also this works perfect because she is off during the summer because she is a paraeducator! I will tell her!
