- The time is finally happening, we have started building a 2wd into a 4wd rock crawler. Samantha is finally going to put on her big shoes. There is much to do on this project and I hope to get your support along the way.
We removed the rear axle because when we add the 85 Toyota front axle they would have had different bolt patters. To solve this I will be adding an IFS Toyota rear axle to make the bolt patterns match.
It took a few days to completely remove the front suspension, the Torsion Bars were much more difficult then I had anticipated. We finally got it down and now trying to figure out if we should pull the engine to make it easy to cut all the brackets off.

Gonna be so rad!
Samatha deserves this!!
This is true, this has been a long time coming
So I have a 1990 Toyota pickup and I want to turn it into my play truck. Thank you for guiding me and helping me with how to do this!
I'm excited for it!
Thanks me also
awesome! i have a base model 2wd 95 pickup. she has barely 100k and it’s super clean. it would be a shame to cut it up but-that idea still lingers to SAS it. keep it up!
Do it!
Heck yeah been waiting on this for a while!!! Can’t wait for future videos
Thanks, I'm going to try to get a video out about Samantha every week 🤞
I too am turning a 90s 2wd into a 4x4. I have a 80s donor truck. Going duals, linked & coilovers all the way around. Gonna be my ranch rocket/ winter daily rig. I already have an 87 sas on 35s. I need a winter rig small enough to tool around in and not tear up the ground like my f350
Sounds awesome
Yessss! Let the games begin!
Might need some Hawky love and elbow grease
Loving this video. Exciting project. Looking forward to the next installment.
Thanks, next week
Perfect. Thanks for showing me the way. I am doing the same to my 1990.
Awesome, do you have an idea if your going to go coils or leafs?
@@SnailTrail4x4 coils would be great, but I am going leafs. Trail geare 4" in the front and chevy 63 in the back. I will run 37" tires too. Low and slow.
Thats going to be cool as hell man!
Thanks I'm excited
Doing the same to my 93 2wd!
Nice, how far along are you?
Question, Why is it comon in the US to convert the 2wd's? are 4WD models limited/rare?
What suspension are you going to run leaf or coils?
This is going to be a semi simple build, highlighting what you need to do to move from 2wd to 4wd, so leafs.
Shows like five hours of work in four minutes XD
Why didn’t you pull the truck in straight? Lol it’s gonna sit sideways in the shop for months.
More room to work, and better shooting angles for video.
Where's the rest ????
Those jack stands are sketchy lol.
What ones?
what happened to this?!
Why stop posting bro?
What a waste of my time. Where's the info on swap
