I stopped donating altogether a few years ago because one I donates the first time, they NEVER stopped bombarding me, begging for bigger donations. I wrote and wrote to each one explaining that I’m on a pension and I can’t make regular donations but no response. I finally just had to block them all. This ‘OATH’ thing sounds great. You're on their lists and you will get emails either saying everything's Wonderful! or everything's Horrible! -- or both on the same day, one right after the other -- even after you're dead and gone. "Unsubscribing" to these lists only lets their managers know that the address is a live one.
Act Blue would have had donations from me if it was a choice I clicked on instead of one shoved in my face. I am happy to write my congresspeople when asked and happy to volunteer but getting and giving information using the Act Blue website gets me nowhere except to donations and makes it difficult to communicate with party organizations.

I donate through Charity Navigator. I don't think they do campaigns. But I know that abortion rights organizations are included. I can donate anonymously and I don't get done with repeat requests. Charity Navigator ask for donations but what they aren't pushy and nothing shows up in my texts or emails.
