I have the same 4 wheeler an can't get to start by the electric button !! Man great video an I wish I could get you to work on mine. I'm disabled an use it all the time. My son can kick start it an it runs great but my leg won't let me kick start it !! Thanks

01 Honda 350 foot shift battery works because headlights turn on but no neutral light shows when I turn the key the oil light shows for 2 seconds then turns off, also I don’t hear a clicking
Honda 420 , Fresh battery , Fresh starter solenoid . Went from nothing to , Lights turn on , Solenoid clicks . Fogured it was the starter . Replaced the starter and still no spark

There is lots of things can be wrong In your case, that noise I have no idea But could be gas pressure, dirty Carb, choke out of position, Coil pack problems, spark plugs/ wires

A better way to test the solenoid is put the meter on dcvolts. When the solenoid is tested opif it’s good the volts should change from battery voltage to zero.
Hey man I got 2008 Honda rancher 420 it won’t crank at all we put a new starter and selenoid but it still makes that click noises idk what to do anymore what u think that might help me
Good morning Aremxlle, thanks for watching this video, if that one click is at the Silinoid then I would check the parking sensor or anything other safety switch if its applicable, and check the wire from the Silinoid to the Starter motor and make sure the Starter motor got good ground and tight , hope that helps and thanks for checking out ISHMOTORPARTS
Starter or bendix now,has to be one or the other,that or your motor is seized,
i got a 500 trx foot shift it just died and now it wont crank off the button and when i jump the solenoid off it still won't start ....ever see one do that before man ?
The explanation of how this particular relay works is not quite right (and might make a difference to your troubleshooting). When you push the starter button (switch) while the key (switch) is engaged, the kill switch is in the right position, and you are in neutral (switch), power is sent to the coil in the relay via the yellow wire and back to ground via the green wire. The powered donut-shaped coil sets up a magnetic field that draws the piston down into the donut hole where it bangs into a metal plate that does nothing more than absorb the force of the piston slamming down (this is the source of the click). A little copper nub sits between the two big contacts on top and is spring-loaded. When the piston is drawn down, the spring pushes the nub down into the two big contacts on top, completing the circuit to the starter. When you release the starter button, the circuit to the relay coil is broken, the magnetism disappears, and a spring around the piston pushes the piston up, which pushes the nub away from the big contacts, breaking the circuit to the starter. So, in a non-starting condition, the spring-loaded piston is always forced against the spring-loaded nub. What goes bad in something this simple? Corrosion preventing contact, or a broken spring, or hitting too often or holding the starter button too long burns out the tiny coil wire. You might be able to fix a corroded relay by hitting it a couple of times. You can TAKE IT APART and see if you can repair it. Video called "GY6 Starter Solenoid Testing, Disassembly & Repair" is very good.
Soo I just installed ignition switch and the lights come on but when I put start get nothing .. but if I unplug wires and connect the two starting wires she rolls right over.. any ideas?
I'm not very sure what Wires you unplugged but if you talking about unplugging from the Battery then the problem is your Starter silinoid

If the Relay/Resistor Clicking make sure
Check the wire from the resistor switch, to Starter motor if you have a Multimeter put the Black to the body ground and the other end to the wire from the Relay to Starter motor, if that's good let me know we go to the next step, don't change the Resistor until you do this first

@@IshMotorparts gm,seems like I'm having a ground issue.when probe tester is connected to ground on battery an I touch the engine block the probe lights up.ive checked a few locations but I'll have to dig deeper on my days off.any known ground areas to look for ?
That’s because what he said is wrong. If you hear a solenoid click what does that tell you? That the solenoid is good lol

Ok, my four wheeler doesn’t click, only the green light comes on. Does this mean I need to change the battery? I replaced the solenoid not that long ago.
If green lights comes on and the solenoid doesn't click it have to be the ignition switch or a wire from the ignition switch to Solenoid
My light turns on but no click or no noise battery is good
My key broke off in the ignition and I had the hot wire it but now when I put the red and black together the light won't come on do you know what the problem might be I need help please
It may be ene of those Glass Fuse check that first

What is no light or anything comes on even after charging the battery?? Has been sitting for ove 1 month. Never had any problems with it until now

On my 1998 300 fourtrax the light does not turn 9n but when I Kickstart it the green light flashes pleas help
Check the shifting gear or Cable, sounds like needs an adjustment
I have new battery; no click at start button. It had been working all day it did run out of gas right before it failed to start. And it was after I jerked the 4 wheeler hard pulling out posts right before it happened. Heeeelp😢
El mío empezó a no querer prender con el botón y se escuchaba como que no tenía la fuerza suficiente para prender. Después el botón paró de funcionar y estaba haciendo click en el solenoide. Las luces de en frente no aluzaban bien y las luces de neutral también no alumbraba tanto. Al siguiente día las luces no prendían cuando le giraba con la llave y el solenoide paró de hacer click y ahora no prende con botón. Tengo que hacerlo con el kick start pero se me apaga y truena mucho. Ayuda 😅

La razón de que no ay suficiente fuerza el Carburador necesita limpiar o el filtro de gas y de Aire.
Y las luces es la Batería por eso poco a poco se secó totalmente,
Carga la Batería primero al 100% y prueba otra ves, si las luces ya ilumina bien entonces dele un limpieza del filtro de aire y gas Empieza con eso primero

Buena respuesta o solución por tu pregunta pero de acuerdo de Caros/vehículo, puede ser El throttle body necesita limpiar,
O un Mangera de aire/vacuum, se dobla cuando se calienta el vehículo, o un Reley o señor debe actuar en ciertas temperaturas pero si no trabajo también causa ese problema, al último un 1% es la Computadora
ok so my green light comes on and when i try to start it my solenoid makes clicking and i have my batteryhooked up the jumper cables and it won’t start any solution?

Ok the Solenoid is clicking now at this time you should get 12 volts at the Starter motor, if not check at the Solenoid output it should have 12 volts, or by checking Continuity between the incoming and outgoing post on Solenoid
My bike won't turn over from my e start anymore sounded weak but battery is fine
check all your ground wires make sure there's no Rust, broken, or loose wire

That most likely is your starter silinoid is out or the small wire from the ignition switch to the silinoid is damaged, The first thing you need to do is check the small wire and the Ground at the Starter Silinoid
If you get power at the silinoid change out the Silinoid that should fix the problem

Is it Clicking at the Silinoid or at the starter?

Make sure the big cable from the battery to the Silinoid it's got 12 volts, now if this good move on to the out going 12 volts from the Silinoid to the starter motor again if this good check and make sure the Starter have good Ground

Hello, there is a problem on my 2008 Honda trx250tm ES fourtrax. the indicator on the display shows a different position compared to the position on the gearbox. for example on the screen it says that the gearbox is in first gear, but the gearbox is actually in neutral and the green light for neutral does not light up. when I press the small handle and the button down to put it in reverse, the green light for neutral comes on and the gearbox is in reverse gear. I note that I can't get the letter R on the screen at all. I changed the angle sensor but everything is the same. Does anyone have a solution?

For my understanding sounds like you need to adjust a shifting Rod, or shifting Slave, let me know if that helps, if not. Hopefully someone give us some advice
