Vision behind the painting:
I wanted the main figure to represent strength and independence, and the abstraction surrounding the figure to create a free boundless environment, an imaginary world of some kind. I believe this blend of realism and abstraction can really produce something unique.
I decided to use soothing but as the same time expressive colors and their combinations to support the feelings I want this painting to evoke. Such as a feeling of serenity, strength, awareness.. and certainly a feeling of freedom.
Materials used:
• Oil paints "Nevskaya palitra"
• Frosted acrylic panel
• Paint thinner (odorless mineral spirits)
• Medium (stand linseed oil)
• Brushes - round detail brushes in sizes 1, 0 and 00; and synthetic filbert brushes in different sizes.
• Glass palette (homemade)
• Palette knife (from a local art-store)
• Paper towels (or tissues that I use to wipe the brushes)
Music:
“Ambient” by Strange day
/ ambient
"Lùnastal" by Joachim Heinrich
/ lunastal - Jak na to + styl
oil : beautiful blending and creamy texture
acrylic : can't relate
Lol
Random person : is the person I’ve seen who also puts a space between the words and the colon
Me : can relate
But it has other purposes in painting
I read this in Jeffree star's voice 😅
Emily 11836 it dries so frikin fast and its hard to blend
ugh if only major makeup brands had the TALENT of creating shade ranges like YOU do. your ability of creating tones with different undertones is exceptionally fascinating 💓 YOU ARE AMAZING
Carlos Ruiz I agree, makeup brands have enough money and time to be able to include all shades
@KD Weightloss makeup isn't paint. it's harder to make than just mixing. also love how you jump on the "they're racist" train. my mother has dark skin and she has trouble finding shades too, but she doesn't whine and point fingers and use one card for the reason for everything.
@@jesslynn2171
You sound really offended.
Jesslynn congrats? Should we give u or your mom a medal or something? People have a problem their shades aren’t being represented how dare they🙄 If y’all don’t have a problem with it that’s cool but why does that have to be the same for literally anyone else. Also she says they don’t care to represent darker shades which is correct and has been proven with numerous launches. Never said they were racist but hey, hit dogs will holler.
mixîng colors that are suppoxed to be safe for the skin isnt easy
I love even just the beginning where you've mixed the paints and they're all lined up😍 so satisfying
I always think, ' there just can't be enough there !'
Your blending is just gorgeous!
this is exactly the comment I was going to make
This lady could print make my foundation shade with oil paint
The process is so relaxing and the final artwork just makes it even better~~
Youve mastered dark skin congrats not even the old masters and modern painting masters could pull off dark skin in its truest form. Thank u so much 💝💝
What artist are you looking at? cause tim okamura, rob liberace, and Jerry james marshall are masters and depicting more diverse skin tones. And side note this model is not dark skinned
@@trahapace150 you're crazy?
@@trahapace150 not dark skinned? shes not the darkest but like shes black
@@trahapace150 Not dark skinned? Are you insane she is clearly dark skinned
All the Nigerian painters would disagree bmt
you didn't just paint on the paper... YOU GAVE IT LIFE
Can you do a video on shading. I'm very bad at it and would like to see how you explain shading and highlights and the best ways to learn, if that's alright, would appreciate it!!
@Annabelle Liu Art Patreon??? What's that?
@@standreamcatcher544 it is a platform that artists sell their work, drawings, posters etc. and they also sell their works tutorials, you can buy them there :)
Best way to learn is by doing but you can learn a few things from books as well
There's an easy way for shading like one stroke techniques. Double loading paint on a brush, will give you shading automatically. I do floral paintings easily with this technique...

That painting is even more realistic than my FACE
I’ve started oil painting it’s still pretty confusing but I’ll get it💛
Wish you success!
I started 5 days ago!
@@misaelortega653 are you drawing as well or just painting? Im asking because I'm interested in oil painting as well?
@@killmonger8724 I started to draw about 2 years ago. And that's all I've known. So I decided it was time to learn or try something new like oil paint
@@misaelortega653 so would you recommend I learn to draw before I learn to paint?
WHAO what The that’s a full body painting! It’s absolutely beautiful! The skill displayed here is nothing short of talent! Absolutely amazing!

@@IloveLestwins Why you getting so mad?
I love how good you are at creating skin tones with primary colour
This lady could print make my foundation shade with oil paint. Everything about this is absolutely stunning .
how long did this painting take you all together?
Everything about this is absolutely stunning 😍😍
I'm always amazed at how many shades she uses for the skin in her portraits - it just goes to show, that even if you see a person and you only see one color; if you look at a person and only see what you want to see, you are missing out on so much richness and complexity
Это что то невероятное! Изображение реалистично настолько, что теряешь суть происходящего!
It is so beautiful it almost makes me cry.
THIS IS STUNNING. you're such an incredible artist
Omgg this women in this painting is so beautiful. I love this so so much

Beyond amazing.
WOWOOWOOWOWOWOOWOO I LOVE IT
*YOU ARE SO TALENTED I CAN'T*
I like how you have this obvious aesthetic of neutral realism in each of your pieces. It’s beautiful and the talent is insanely amazing and there. My style Personally is dark and/or colourful. I can’t wait to start painting with oil and actually get to blend especially because acrylic is the worst for that literally ever.
She’s beautiful!
It's more than fantastic... It's like an indescribable thing.
you're so talented!!!! I'm literally in awe of your painting skills
Absolutely stunning 😍 what an incredible demonstration of skills, and what a beautiful piece of art
