I absolutely love this chick. She deserves the best honestly.
I agree with you entirely! She is a real artist and so practical and generous with her advice.
Hands down she is the best. I spent a long time looking for her and I now have found the right channel just as I envisioned it.
LilyAnne Stuteville same 😍😍
LilyAnne Stuteville You can't love her the way I could....
chick? am i the only one who is bothered?
This level of talent is mildly offensive
Abdul Williams haha I thought that too 😂 so beautiful
@@fastkamondi Don't let it ruin your confidence. Imagine when you reach this level of artistic skill! Shoot for the stars, my friend.
lolev maybe a little bit of talent
I want to see you paint on canvas,,,
seriously
I'm so glad I found your channel.
why can’t make up brands just mix their foundation like she does 🤦♀️
right?🤦♀️😅😅😅😅
lol it's properly due to the smooth canvas surface maybe if humans were pore-less creatures it would work.
I don't usually comment, but your note is genius!
You are seriously the most helpful oil painting artist on youtube!! :D
Thank you! I’m flattered
Was just about to make this very comment. :)
What about Bob Ross?
@@amaliasuvac1199 he's great but they paint different things.
@@amaliasuvac1199 haha that thought came into my mind as well hOwever as yna said they paint different things
Can you do a painting demonstrating your techniques with darker skin tones?
Yeah I will
Daria Callie Awesome! Thank you so much! 💕
Desiree Thomas Yes I would also appreciate help with more skin tones!
yeeeesss
Desiree Thomas yessss 😩😩😩
she: speachs literally 2 sentences
me: damn it, you're amazing
Angels: how much talent.
God: yes
She is like a reflection of bob ross
@@paulaherrera3969 No but he had skills and years of practice.
@@paulaherrera3969 he does have talent my guy rip he was a legend
@@paulaherrera3969 I seriously cannot believe that someone compared her with Bob Ross
Just want to let you know that I really appreciate this video because I know that if we want to learn lessons from artists, we have to pay for it which I totally respect and understand. So I'm very grateful that artists like you would take so much time and so much effort to put up a helpful video like this for us to learn for free and once again thank you sooooo much!!
I learnt more in this video than in all my art classes put together, this is a miracle video thankyou
me too!!
The background music with your beautiful art and soothing voice is a perfect combination
This video has inspired me to get right back into painting and trusting my own process! You are a blessing. Seriously thank you so much. You have no idea what you just re-sparked right back into me!
ok but what if i have no talent at all
You learn, practice, grow. Talent is widely overrated in the artistic community.
Oftentimes the ones who become the best artists are the ones who put in the work and time to get better rather than relying on talent alone. Even talent runs out without spending time learning and exercising knowledge.
Skill is something that can be acquired if you want it badly enough. So don't feel discouraged! :)
lolev finally people who understand!! its annoying to get complimented on my "talent" when its just plain old practice 🤷🏻♀️
fake it till you make it
You suffer cuz that's wat I'm doin
I know you already mentioned it in the video but can you do a video in detail about what you need to get for a beginner for oils? I'm still unsure about what I need and don't need. Beautiful painting xx
Niamh Brady I’ve just started and I have :
Odourless paint thinner
Varnish (optional)
Oil graduate paints by Daler Rowney
Acrylic Gesso
Watercolour paper
Brushes
You can also get linseed oil and canvases but this has been working pretty well. I don’t have a palette for oils yet so I’ve been using plastic wallets x I already do watercolour so I found it very efficient just to get gesso and paint it on watercolour paper as the paper is quite thick so the paint doesn’t cause it to warp and bend
Niamh Brady She named it!!!!
U didn't watch it yet....
Niamh Brady vai se fude parci
it's easier to start with acrylic, which dries faster
YES PLEASE
Thank you for all the amazing advice! I love how you described the fact that values seem lighter on just a white surface. I haven't started to paint in oil, but have always wanted to. Not only did you give great advice for beginner oil artists, but you also inspired me to work with oils.
the skill. the voice. the music. the lighting. everything is aesthetically pleasing and relaxing.
I love how she paints almost like a puzzle
Your brushes are so thin. How do you wash/clean them so they stay sharp and don't fray?
probably with lukewarm to warm water and then placed into a plastic cover. a lot of paint brushes are covered i think
You should clean your brushes with soap. That helps keep the brushes soft and in good shape.
@@Vivcsi you cant really do that with oil paint.. youll need some other sort of liquid to clean it out.
- ̗̀ moonchild ̖́- I didn’t know that... Thank you for telling us :)
They might fray. But the paint pushes the paint brushes hair down making it look like it not fraying. It's inevitable.
I love how calm you are about art
As a young artist whenever I watch other art videos I feel like they always have black or white, no grey, there’s no middle ground as if their technique is the only right technique which really intimidates me and makes me feel like a crap artist because I’m not using their way.
Thank you so much for being calm and helpful
You are an amazing teacher. Not only with your painting talent, but your ability to give small direct instruction with a voice that is easy to follow. Thank you for the video!
I am not really into artsy types of things but just by watching your videos it makes me want to do it. It looks relaxing but fun at the same time. Love your videos and keep up the good work :)
Thank you!
Same
She is great to watch and to listen too. I recommend giving sketching a try if you feel even a slight interest. I have recently started attending a class and have started doing extra sketches and watercolours outside class (no oils yet!) and will adivce you that it is a learning process: nobody is just a good artist 'right out of the box'. I look at one of my portrait paintings from even a few weeks ago (a picture I saw in Time magazine) and I am slightly embarrassed looking at it now when I compare it to a more recent sketch which means I have progressed over a few weeks. Try even sketching an eye : but think of it just as an object, not as a preconceived 'this is what an eye looks like'. That approach works for just about everything I think. Go on give it a try! It can be very satisfying.
I'm really glad you posted this. I've had a really horrible birthday and at nearly 8:30 at night this video is the first thing I've actually been excited about.
Ohh, I hope today will be a much better day
grimshawghoul happy belated stranger!
thank you guys :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
spreading the love 💚💚💚💚
You have an amazing talent for noticing detail, which is one of your many attributes that makes your painting so good.
Watching you paint and mix the colors are so mesmerizing. I LOVE your videos, please make more of them!
Im seriously glad to have an amazing mentor like you who inspires me to express my views through this incredible way of art. Your oil painting tricks and tips show the beautiful concern you have for the growing oil painters. I seriously thank God and you for all of this. God bless you! ❤😊
YES!!! I NEEDED this. Because I am starting to get into oil painting and painting "realistic" portraits of people. And I'm struggling, so this is a HUGE help, thank you. :)
I was just thinking about if I should start oil painting some time but I was hesitating and then you went and said it’s not really expensive and encouraged the audience it put a smile on my face
The colors you mixed are so gorgeous! ❤️ eyegasms. I love mixing colors with limited tubes
And this video was so soothing 🤗
I can literally watch you paint all day, this is gorgeous...
This is a great video. I just subscribed to your channel. Since graduating art school I've been so burnt out on painting, but you've inspired me to start again. Thank you so much. Your work is amazing!
You are indeed very talented and a blessing. You have re-ignited my interest in doing portraits. I have been doing so many abstracts and paint pouring techniques that I didn’t feel comfortable trying to get back into portraits. I’m going to the same subject your doing, so I can copy your paint mixes step by step. Layering from light to dark makes so much sense. The way you teach, I think someone can actually learn how to paint just by copying you. This will give me the confidence to do more and even develope my own process. Thankyou so much! Daria. 👍
I really love this artist and her style so much. Simple but elegant.
The painting is beautiful, your method of teaching is beautiful and you clearly are a beautiful soul for helping us. So for that, thank you 🌟
LOOK AT HER GO SUCH A CZcamsR YOU'RE DOING AMAZING SWEETIE
Absolutely Amazing ! You are "A" (one of very few) New Generation Master ! Thank you for graciously sharing your talents !
the paint mixing part is so relaxing to watch omg
I'm in love. You gave me motivation to keep working!
This was so helpful, I usually only paint in acrylics but I want to learn oils so I'm prepared for art school. Thank you!
I'm happy I found this channel. You're very helpful for us beginners who are still strugling where to start in painting. You're advice is practical and easy to follow. Other artists would ask for fees to get the info we need. But yours are free and elaborate. I'm broke, so I'm fortunate to watch your vids. Thank you.
this is so soothing to watch! and I already feel better about approaching my own painting after hearing some of your tips!!
1.) Approximately how long have you been doing art? 2.) How long have you been working with oil paints? 3.) How long did this painting take to make IRL?
This was so helpful! ❤️❤️ I subscribed instantly.
You make it look so effortless. It’s amazing!
Omg. Your job is wonderful, U have your own way to express the art, even if was based in realistic pictures, and that way let me without air. Thank u for share this with us.
Absolutely beautiful would love to see a video of other facial features too like the nose and the lips because I have trouble with them the most ❤️
This is amazing and everything you say is so helpful!
❤️❤️
Your videos are so pleasing to watch! So calming and relaxing and i learn a ton
Very details for a small brush+smooth transtion of colors= masterpiece!
your tips are so good! Thank you for explaining everything- you're very talented and this was really helpful and motivational :) sending love from germany :)
Extremely informative.
Not only are you one of the best painters I know of, you also have a beautiful voice. You are therapeutic.
You, miss, are a virtuoso. A person that can paint photorealistic oil portraits like this...one in a billion
Parabéns, amo o seu trabalho!!! Obrigada por compartilhar.
God these videos are so helpful, thank you!!
This is amazing I love her channel. All of her work is BEAUTIFUL
I'm gobsmacked. That eye is so realistic and with so few oil colours. Incredible. Thank you so much for this great tutorial and your advice. Much love and God bless you. Susan xxxx🎨❤❤❤❤💕💕🤗🤗🎨🙏🙏🙏🙏
You explain everything so clearly. Lovely to watch and very instructive.
If you are painting a whole
Face- say for a portrait rather than just an eye- do you use bigger brushes or the same small and tiny brushes?
I use all kinds of brushes, from size-0 brushes for the detail work to the big ones, regardless of what I’m painting :)
your skill is amazing and i love how informative and succinct your videos are!
I love your palette technic ....your painting technic is facinating...thank you for tips...
Oh wow first time that i see you in front of the camera :-) and you look just beautiful
What age did you start oil painting? It looks amazing
amazing! i really love the way you mixed the paint and placed it into your other palette in the beginning. this might sound silly, but i never saw mixing like that before. 💜
As far as i have seen, you are the greatest artist I have found. I am much of a black and white with charcoal but this inspires the colours in me. Thank you
I'm learning so much from this one simple video 🙂
Could you do a video on painting hairs?
could you do a video which demonstrates how u paint from reference? thanks!
Even the tissue looks very aesthetic!!😍😍
You mix colors so beautifully. Love it
Could you please show us how to paint a nose? I often find those very tricky. Love your content!
you really did that
she really did that
What'd she do ?
That.
you're so talented, thank you for all of your tips
Thank you for your encouragement, I was always into the arts, and always wanted to learn how to oil paint, but was never further because I though it would be expensive, I used to think "I'll search something about it on youtube" but I always ended up forgeting, till today I finally searched out and I found your channel, I instantly subscribed and this is the second video that I'm watching and you encouraged me, thank you it means something to me, like a hope I can learn it too❤
You make it look so effortless! Do you have any tips on how to stop blending? Like I have a problem with trying to seamlessly blend everything so it all ends up just looking the same and very artificial, almost like it's animated
Krissy Bea i have the same issue!
same. i keep practicing and i improved a lot! to make realistic, be patient and restrain yourself. the more you try to work it, the more you are likely to mess it up! and keep comparing with the ref, use a wide range of colours and use your sense of shadows! all the best
Thank you for sharing this awesome video. This is very inspirational and extremely helpful too!
omg you’re so talented girl!!! that’s amazing
I love the way you paint Daria and am excited to try your ideas.
Awesome 😍😍
Can you do a video on how to paint african american hair? And maybe different style of it?
your one of the most talented humans i’ve ever seen
You are a great teacher, your painting is amazing. Thank you!
She’s so pretty and so good at painting😂♥️
Your artworks are amazing. Please can you paint a nose? I can't get them right!
Lauren Veerasamy I hope she does
Goooosh you're so talented!!! Wow just LOVED IT
Blending is so smooth💛
aren't you from Russia? i am, and your accent really sounds like russian)) you're cool✨
Кстати да.
я тоже заметила :)
на ее сайте написано, что она из Беларуси, но переехала в США
She is from Belarus
It's in her about
(BEYOND THE BEGINNING I CAN NOT GOOD ENGLISH SORRY) I love your videos you can not imagine it! I love your voice and when I hear it I'm glad. I do not know what you do your videos with me arrive. It looks so real that I feel like Im having a stare contest with the eye 😂
Beautifully done. You have such a sweet vibe and are a good teacher. Thank you.
By using oil painting, you can paint so detail. Fantastic
how long did this take to do?
For some reason when I saw the title of this video I sang "How to Paint an Eye" to the tune of "How to Save a Life" in my head 🤣
ok but me too???
The mixing is so satisfying
I like your demo and I think you are very amassing and gifted. Thank You!!!!!!
