LOVE that you stress that you should ask permission to paint someone's photograph
I genuinely don't understand how Daria isn't getting more attention for her artwork. it is gorgeous! in fact, i was inspired to start using oil paints, with me having a background in acrylic, because of her
Thank you 😊 it's nice to hear
I don't know all the differences, but I do know the biggest difference is the dry time. Oils take several days whereas Acrylics dry in a few minutes.
I am not too experienced with oils, as some others are, but in my opinion it gives it a more realistic look. You can do so much more things with oils that you can't do with acrylics, such as building it using a pallet knife to give it texture. Also, a perk of the drying time is that you actually have that time to be able to work the product to the point of where you like. Whereas if you tried to build up with acrylic, in my opinion, it gets to the point where it's unworkable and gets really thick and cakey almost.
more attention? she already has 122k subs lol

I’ve watched three of your videos and am totally comfortable saying that you are the best painter/artist I’ve ever come across in 41 years of life. Words cannot accurately celebrate or convey how extremely talented you are. Utterly sublime and jaw-dropping.
Me: has done an art school and college
Also me: can't even finish a portrait
Watching you paint is beyond painting... It's like when you put down your brush, a person just bleeds out of it, flesh and warmth and life building on each other with every stroke. You're amazing.
PandaKittenhybrid Nice comment!!!
Your comment makes me uncomfortable
Woh you got poetic there
Seems as if u r also a painter
I literally feel like I’m watching a human be made. not in that way . U know what I mean

Such a refreshing approach that I've never seen before. Your painting technique is amazing and you are so talented. I've never been one to be able to paint in a small area to start. I always paint the entire area at once but then again, I paint landscapes. I could try and paint a portrait since I've only done it once and it was in a college course where we could only use Burnt Umber and Titanium White. Nothing even close to your beautiful work. Thank you for sharing your gift.
This is truly amazing. I don’t even have words to describe how in awe I am at how talented you are!
Could you do a video explaining how to paint hair?
Yes I agree!
Yes please!
You need to treat them like geometric shapes instead of separate strands. Paint clumps of them and apply light like you would with any other 3d object. Work from big to small and dont overdetail. Refferences are a must for better understanding. If you use them dont copy them for the sake of copying, try to understand where and how individual clumps interact with echother.

Umm.. i'm simple af so I didn't understand
She's done one now, if your still interested.
Wow really amazing illustration! I love how you painting this especially with the photorealistic finish! Really astonishing work!
Thank you so much!
Daria Callie no problem! You did a phenomenal job on this piece and I loved watching your process! It's so much fun to make these kinds of videos!

@Emma Li 😔 sorry i didn't know, i'll make sure to not say that again 😔 thanks for telling me!
@Emma Li how exactly. I don’t think you’re the artist. You can’t defend them for something they didn’t ask for
Dear madam ,
I am 55 and been painting for 30 years off and on , cause in painting I loose myself..but in this era there is always some thing is available to learn.what a wonderful v Do you have made esp the eyes were breathtakingly alive .I am eagerly waiting to learn more from you .already you might have made lot of veils on color and all that I shall see all your lessons and I may raise my specific questions ,I have enjoyed your video. Not just the great painting she’s doing
Feels so calm watching her do it 🥰
No one living draws eyes so pretty as you Daria :) I can tell you been studying them for years. There perfect.
Wow girl you definitely deserve a lot more support, these tutorials are really something and even though I don’t do art I’m truly intrigued. Subscribed! Wish I could contribute to Patreon but I’m dependant on others myself so hopefully in the future.
Thank you! ❤️❤️
It's awesome to see how your paintings come into life....Simply awesome...
Wow, great eye tutorial. I love how
You brought down the squares of color used within the eye.
I’m working on an oil painting right now and for some reason I can get it to blend as smooth as yours. I’m struuuuuggggllliinnng and idk what to do💀
Sometimes paint thinner can help blend but not to much but oil paint can thin it out and make it smoother
These videos are so relaxing 😍
You should do one in real time, even if it is just part of it or the finishing touches.
this video was awesome!! I had never heard of glazing, such an amazing technique, thank you so much for this video!
😊 ❤️❤️
I’m rewatching this video and I’ve only just realised that this is where I found this colour palette from. I never paint with black and every other oil painting you tuber does. I must have copied the colours you use years ago. Crazy how time flies. Thank you for inspiring me x

I've never seen a painting that's so realistic being made ... I'm amazed
Daria, thanks for your tutorials. All your advice are solid. I followed your method for my second painting and it turned out worlds better than my first attempt the week before. To those who follow your channel but are afraid to try oil paint, I say go for it. I started with acrylic and the thought of using oil paint scared me. But the fast drying time of acrylic made me sloppy because i was actually a slower painter than I thought. So i bought a cheap set of faber castell oil paints, oil painting paper and two 1-dollar brushes. The slow drying time was perfect. I can take my time and fool around with mixing, blending and repairing mistakes. When i was done i just cleaned my hands n brush with cooking oil. Works better than hardware store thinners, hahah. The painting took about 8 days to fully dry but the result made me happy so I didnt mind it at all. I'm glad i tried and I now look forward to painting more.
очень круто и красиво . голос очень приятный прям хочется слушать вечно♥♥♥♥♥

A question... doesn't she makes paintings and sells them? Like... I really want her to paint a friend of mine and give it to her as a gift. I'd like to know if she does that! Hope someone can answer❤

Amazing works! Thanks for sharing. 😍
I don't have words this is so beautifull !
Она шикарно рисует
WOW
I'm japanese.Your English was very easy to listen.Thank you.
I love realism, love drawing faces. Working on one of my firsts painting with acrylic. That whole thing about the changing pic to black & white is brilliant! My painting doesn’t look too bad but the coloring does throw me off with getting right shade and value !!!
How do you avoid the paint grabbing at the canvas... in other words, how do you get the paint to spread so easily?
Aidan Collett you can achieve that by sanding down the canvas texture and adding 2 coats of primer, or how many coats you want! Just like she did
Also using a proper medium like galkyd
I blend with liquin fine detail
I have always used linseed oil to dab my brushes into before I blobbed into my paints to apply it on the canvas.
Where can I get that picture of the girl? Thanks, I love your art!!
Very useful and interesting tutorial, thanks for the tips and advice!
You are amazing omg I'm a student at fine art college first year u helped me so many times thanku hope u have a great day ❤️❤️
