I stopped listening to worldly music and all of hollywood movies ( Christian movies and music only) a few years ago. It has changed me so much. I can keep my mind on Jesus more easily. I may hear the start of a song I use to like and feel a rebellion trying to take over. I’m so grateful to the Lord that He is more than enough joy I don’t need anything from this world for temporary excitement! Listening to the music that uplifts Christ changes the heart too. Your relationship with Jesus will get closer just by avoiding worldly music and movies.

WOW....this is SO CRAZY!! I just had a VERY LOUD AWAKENING about a week ago with this VERY WARNING. I literally was sleeping, and around 2am a VERY LOUD VOICE woke me up from a deep sleep, and said " Any music that does not give glory to God, is UNWORTHY ". I literally heard this as loud as someone would talk in a crowded place...I'm NOT KIDDING. And as soon as I heard it, I was about to ask...but what about??????? and I fell back to sleep. The very next morning, when I woke up, I went through all my music and DELETED everything that was NOT WORSHIPING OR GIVING GLORY TO GOD.

Music to me was seductive, and like a drug that I couldn’t get enough of… Just recently I was lured into a trap by a group that had the most seductive demonic music, and it was so difficult to turn away from. I downloaded every single album they had ever made, onto my phone, and I was so guilty! I deleted them all when my conscience couldn’t deal with it anymore. But a few days later, downloaded a stack of their music back to my phone… It was such a battle, but no matter how difficult the fight, I know we can overcome, because Jesus overcame all things and never sinned…
We are Gods children, and must stay away from the oppression that comes from being in the devils playground.

I never choose any of their songs as a lead. I often go with SOP (as I have their app which has the sheets of all their songs), but I may also use the songs from AGWMM, WN or One Circle.

Just this morning here in Saudi, I felt that my heart was heavy, I don't feel to worship God but I still chose to and yes it made my day really great when I started to sing a song for the Lord Jesus, the lyrics goes like ths... My Jesus, Savior, Lord there is none like You all of my days, I want to praise the wonders of Your Mighty love...
Indeed, we should not worship our Lord Jesus based on how we feel but based on the fact that He deserves to be praised even when we don't feel it.

Me too ❤ At least we don’t struggle alone. El Shaddai is with us always and I’m trying as hard as I can alongside you. We can’t be perfect, but we can try out best. I think of the little drummer boy often when I get down on myself because of my failings. They never said the little boy was a perfect master musician. Just a boy trying his best to be pleasing to the King of Kings and THAT is what the Almighty wants I think, honest focused effort and I believe that’s why he loves us so much. I rather hear an imperfect wonky out of key song from someone who wrote it just for me out of love. Than the most magnificent orchestra any day. I think that’s also why He set us apart from the angels. Imperfections make us more endearing, maybe lol idk but I like to think so ❤ Still trying not to make mistakes though!!

Hymns are good very good. But God is speaking even today, even today God has given us prophecies and psalms we are to sing in song. There is a shortage of songs of praise and worship nowadays in churches because we are still singing just as I am I come. God has given us a sound like there was a sound everytime God was on the move. He is on the move even now for the last days revivals. He is on the move reviving His true and remaining remnant ours is to sing the prophecies God has given us. Hymns are good I like them but I find them too traditional. Holy holy is the Lord God Almighty who was and is and is to come. Those lyrics are far better than just as I am I come.
If I may add something to what you have already stated , these singers who professed to be christians are actually peddling the Word of God in the guise of gospel songs or what you may call christian inspirational songs but the bottom line for them is money. Just google at their networth and you will see how much money they have amassed. Well, there will always be a time of reckoning...

You are very wrong just like there are false pastors there are also pastors who are still sticking with The True Gospel of Jesus Christ about The Kingdom of God. There are many prophets who are true to the course and calling. We know because God Himself reveals Himself.
My feelings about God, or about anything at all, can vary. Singing directly about God and Jesus points me to a source of hope and love.

Rich Mullins was by far the best Contemporary Christian "artist." I'm not sure he would call himself an artist, but every song he ever wrote and sang truly glorified God. His lyrics were/are so powerful and insightful. He was the real thing.

Thats the Best way to do it in my opinion! In my church, we have some people playing guitar and piano, and if you want, you can recommend a song by saying its number, then everyone starts singing. It is simply beautyful

German here. I really love to discover the beautiful old Christian chants of my ancestors I found in the song books of my grandmothers. Amazing grateful and glorious words full of joy for Christ just out of time 16th to 17th century when there was 30 years of War deavastating the country !

I’m of German Mennonite descent, my grandpa and dad always told me about the wars that my ancestors endured which led to their travels to Ukraine/Russia and eventually America. All worship and praise be to God Almighty! I thank God I bumbed into this wonderful message In this video. The previous night I bumped into a very unworthy dancehall song and it's lyrics were so ungodly and encouraging acts of darkness. The beat was ear catching that I couldn't sleep the whole night. I kept on repeating it the whole night for about 4-5 hours and it was so addictive and couldn't cut off. The whole day my heart and mind was singing the song and I could hear from inside the beat, the lyrics and wanted to watch it again. I returned on CZcams only to bump into this Godly message and I could discern that God was speaking to me through this video. All the Glory, praise and worship be unto the Lord God Almighty.
I've even had that happen with certain so-called Christian worship songs, that if I heard them in church on a Sunday, it took until about Thursday to get the 'hook' lines out of my head. I suspect that's a sign that they have some less than Christian origins...

Maybe the problem we have is calling every song a worship song. There are different types of songs for example, Spiritual warfare songs, Healing songs, Prophetic songs, Declaration songs, Testimony songs, Prayer songs, Victory songs etc. There is totally nothing wrong for me to sing a song saying I am a winner, i am a champion, my life is a testimony. It's just a matter of knowing how to classify the songs. By the way Worship is not only in song. Everything we do in Spirit and in truth is worship. Our action our thinking our service to God all this is part of worship. Never limit worship to songs and not every song is a worship song.
Yea as long as God is first and we give glory to him it shouldn't matter if the song itself doesn't sing him praises. Just the fact the music can be made because of him and it is good, should be enough if that is in your heart. This message is good for some who don't understand this, but I don't believe all music that isn't worship is inherently bad. Its the idolatry that is bad.

I’m loving instrumental music more then ever. Could be my age but I love it played in the background. I love all styles of music as long as it’s God honoring. We are told to test all things and hold fast to what is good. Abstaining from all appearances of evil. When we are in step with the Lord, His Holy Spirit will guide us into all truth and convict us when we are choosing poorly.
I do get frustrated with some of the songs my church chooses for worship. I wouldn’t leave my church for that reason but I make it known to the worship leaders when I see an issue with lyrics. Often times I change the lyrics while I’m singing!
Singing Scripture is so powerful! If you’re being tempted by the enemy or feel oppressed, start singing and the sword of the Spirit will drive those evil spirits away! Hallelujah 🙏🏻❤️🗡️

I'm an R&B artist and I recently have been convicted on what message I'm portraying in my music. As follower of Christ, I definitely feel the need to clean up my message in my music but i also feel as though we have to rely on God to reveal to us what he approves of and what's unacceptable. God is about love. So if we're singing about love, that love shouldn't be lustful. Whether its music or just our everyday life, whether or not we specifically say his name, people should be able to see Jesus in you.
When you are born again, the Holy Spirit that lives in you will let you know when something is not right. Also, the word of God has everything we need to know. Before Jesus, we did as we pleased. Once you have an encounter with Him, the things of this world lose their appeal and you want to please Him❤️live by His word and the Holy Spirit will guide you. I definitely agree about this that we need to be discerning of our worship music. It's meant to do one thing: Worship God in spirit and truth. I think it also needs to be said that not all Christian music is meant to be worship music and that's ok as well. I thank God for the ministries non-worship Christian artists are involved in, they are bringing truth to the nations! The problem comes when you say you're creating worship music but it's not actually worshipping God in spirit and truth. That is a dangerous thing.

My current church is all over the I, me songs. I count how many times Jesus's name is in the song. Some of them mention his or God's name one time in the song, and the rest is talking about what God is doing for them. I thought I was alone in noticing this! Compare the "worship" music of today and that of 20 years ago. Totally different.

As a teenager (many decades ago). Our youth group sang My sweet Lord, in church. It was written for Hari Krishna. I don’t sing much of today’s music in church. Most of the time, I have no idea what the song is about.
There are many many Christian songs out there. We don't need to listen to anything else. Christians need to know the difference.

What a great message. This happened to me the devil used K-pop to take me away from God. But God is so good he delivered me and brought me to a closer relationship with Jesus. Now I am only listening to true worship music discerning everything I watch and listen to.
The EXACT same thing happened to me and many others… I do know that there is some witchcraft done in that industry, like going to a shaman for guidance and spirits for lyrics.. they also call their artists “idols” 🚩 I’m glad that God brought us back to him though, love you in Christ ❤
I listen to that K-pop thing on the radio for a few minutes while trying to tune in a real Christian station on my radio. Sounds like some new age junk or something. Nothing about Christ and him crucified, people who fall for that are probably extreme babies in christ or not saved in the first place. Lack of spiritual discernment, lack of knowledge

So hard to go to work because everyone has there phones and speakers with the music blasting. The other night I had to hear the disgusting song of unholy by Sam smith. I had to stay in prayer I prayed so hard that Jesus will stop and fortunately God heard me and the song stopped early

You are in a dangerous place! Choose who or what you'd rather lose. Don't be the frog in water that was slowly brought to boil. It's hard, I know, but it's absolutely necessary that instead of asking God to turn off the music you be bold and ask God to help you find a new job!
@@avigailomichael actually God answered my prayers . The person was moved to a different location and I work with a person and we discuss the Bible, listen to worship music. Nothing is more powerful than prayer.

thank you for putting this up. i was given the music ministry By the Holy spirit and instructed to be wise in choosing which songs will be offered in worship to YAWAH, or Jesus. when I began to see hundreds of people gathering in church houses become almost in a trance, I knew right away that satan had entered into praise and worship songs and became popular . I was told by a baptist preacher to either get with the changing times or get out of the worship ministry . listening to the words of some of the most popular praise and worship of today, they do not address Yawah , or Yeshua . they sing to a universal god. and I truly believe that all who take part will accept the one world religion and the false Christ.

I played in our church orchestra for 40 years and learned early on what kind of "worship" songs really led people to worship. The 2 songs (older ones) that seemed to bring every hand raised to the Lord were "Shout To The Lord" and "I Exalt Thee." These lift up the name of Jesus and focus on Him and not on us. I have been saying pretty much all of these thoughts in this video for many years as our church went through a dry period where loud noise replaced much of the annointing. The worship leaders would bounce around the "stage" and have crazy cheshire cat smiles plastered on their faces. This was to try and generate some emotional excitement for people to want to worship. The biggest thing was the lyrics were mostly about "I" "me" "my" etc. The church has gone full circle and now is focused back on God. I hear from someone in the know that this has been going on for several years now in many churches. Worship is what it is all about!

Most Christian artist are singing about a different Jesus, not the Jesus of the Bible. Thus they serve another Jesus, be very discerning precious saints.

And some ppl worship jesus as a bagan deity, some worship him as Michael ,and not YHWH himself in human form. Thats what he meant ,BUT you were so ready to condemn someone you missed the entire point. Do you feel good when you do that? As a members in a worship team .. I noticed now a days Christian worship songs is totally different.. no more anointing like we compared with the old Christian songs... Truer words are often never misspoken , and another important lesson. Like the classical music before it, I only listen to instrumentals without words, and spiritual or enthusiastic driven melodies like I believe heaven would be like, of course I don't know, but I'm sure God will have beautiful, uplifting and joyful music in heaven, if not the birds singing will do with the angels.
Josh Turner's" Long Black Train " don't go riding on that Long Black Train ."is a Very Powerful , Christian song . " Cling to the Father and his Holy Name and don't go riding on that long Black Train ." For me , It's the perfect song to help me fight against Satan and the Secular Humanists assaults within my mind .

I saw a video about Little Richard and his struggle with homosexuality and he looked possessed when he was younger and into everything later in life he said he gave his life to God his eyes changed he changed he was so different he said that rock and other musics were demonic. He seemed like he had really had a change I hope so. We should pray for those under the guise of Hollywood the Lost angel city, to overcome this world.

I still remember in the 90s you still heard people arguing is it correct to use modern musical instrument for worship songs , and now people seem okay with it, and even change the church worship atmosphere to make it like clubbing? But then i am okay with it though, it still touch my heart and make me feel the peace of God
