I don’t think the course is made to be hard to complete. But you need a lot of balance and control to conserve momentum in order to do it fast. Like, jumping over walls/bars one by one is easy, jumping across the top of them without hurting yourself is hard, but would be a lot faster.

They were neck and neck at the halfway point (the other player only a half step behind), and that "other player" was only 3 to 5 steps behind at the finish. Where's the breakneck speed? (Faster than any other in the world?) Nowhere, the other runner is 4 steps behind and going to catch her if one misstep. That's what my cynical self ("toxic trait") says. Where?

It's crazy how slow it LOOKS like she's moving until you pay attention to the surroundings and how far she's stepping/jumping. This is literally how cats move across structures. Insane to see someone with this much coordination to the point where each movement looks simple.
You can also tell that she's went through that so many times and hit her shins so many times it's some great motivation when you're shins are at stake XD

Bros I've been doing parcour and free running for years now and I still trip over air all the time. My best friend is always amazed, how I can do flips and handsprings but trip over air. Happens to the best of us.😂😂😂
The loser was no slouch. The winner had the leaping ability and was willing to do the risky stuff. Jumping 15, or so feet and catching the top of the next barrier, with her hands, without hitting the ground, was something else.
I love how on the return leg, she makes two leaps straight up, instead of dropping down and climbing back up, thus saving both time and energy. Way to work smarter, not harder!
The tricky part is that its on the return, which means its the exhaustion period, if she didnt have the energy, she wouldnt make the jump and could've been injured. Her accomplishment is a testament to her athleticism.
what I love is her physical intelligence, how she skipped jumping over 2 obstacles but climbing into the first one and from it she jumps over the second to skip time

This is the most athletic thing I have ever seen. She made NO mistakes -- she just flew like a long lean seabird along that course. She hopped like a gazelle. She leapt over those obstacles like nothing. Those were antelope strides. And the other runner must have been great too -- she didnt finish that far back.

@@Joanna-gg4qx Depends how short too, I'm 5'6 or 5'7 and it hasn't been a disadvantage any time in my long years of parkour training when it comes to jumps. Being tall gives you a better reach with your arms tho, but also harder to get your legs on top of obstacles. Overall I'd say being a bit shorter is better in parkour :3

That can actually be an objective statement and not critical/antagonistic. These movements are more challenging for female physiology and so they are not beautifully flawless. This is not to disregard her capability, effort, and performance. It’s just nature. Either way these are basic physical skills that we should all have in order to describe ourselves as “fit” so let’s all get busy moving instead of just watching and commenting. 🤸

Almost slipped on that first bar but the recovery was so smooth it looked intentional. Everything after that was just non-stop efficient movement and body mechanics. Top-tier.

Almost slipped on that first bar but the recovery was so smooth it looked intentional. Everything after that was just non-stop efficient movement and body mechanics. Top-tier.
