Great video. I used it as a reference guide to replace the rear door actuator in a 2007 Honda Civic Si Sedan and the door handle also (in other video). I watched the videos about 2 times each and then it was pretty straightforward. I did have issues getting the lock connector cable to snap into place along the threads and the clip as there was no extra play / cabling.... It is very helpful to have an assistant helping you to hold up the door panel as you do this. Never hurts to have an extra set of hands...

WARNING. if you don’t use a PH3 Phillips for those lock actuator screws, you will strip them.
Today I actually had to use a ball peen hammer (round head against the screw heads) spring-loaded impact screwdriver AND a torch to get the last actuator screw out on a 2009 CRV . I tried a PH3 bit on an impact driver gun and they still wouldn’t budge.

14:20 Using a little bit of the butyl sealant to hold the bolt inside the socket is one of those great pro tips to avoid frustration. If you don't do it, you're going to end up fishing that stupid little bolt out of god knows where with a telescoping magnet -- several times.

So I have a 2007 civic ex sedan. The fob only unlocks the drivers side which is ok. But the lock/unlock button on the driver side only works for the driver side and not the other 3 doors. The passenger side doesnt doesnt lock or unlock any door. Would I need door lock actuators to fix this for the other doors? I will say when i mess with the fuse sometimes the drivers side lock and unlock button will work for the driver rear door and then it stops. So what would be the issue? Maybe a wire? Or door lock actuators?

My Granddaughter had a seat belt caught in the left door of her 06 Civic. A friend finaly got it pried open then replaced the fouled up actuator. But the door was bent up & soon the new actuator's nylon coating on the door latch fingers got cracked & the door was jammed. I couldn't get the latch to line up proper, then it jamned so bad i had to pull the plastic side panel off exposing the door pillar, then cut out the strike plate bolts with a cutting torch to get the door open. I then did some rough body straightening work on the bent door around the latch mechanism. I refit the strike plate but this time i ground 2 nuts sort of cone shaped & soldered them onto the countersink on the top side of the strike plate so the plate could be bolted onto the door well from behind. Now, if this door ever jams shut again, I will remove the trim to get at the bolts for the strike plate. When i unscrew the bolts, the strike plate will be free of the door, and i can open it.
