Southbound | 25 Days on the John Muir Trail (SOBO) 2022

- In August 2022, I thru-hiked the John Muir Trail for the second time. I had planned to thru-hike the JMT solo, but after meeting Marcia in Mammoth before getting on trail, we ended up spending 16 days together, hiking over 135 miles from Yosemite National Park to Le Conte Canyon.
On Day 16, I started my solo journey to Mount Whitney with a resupply exit in Independence. I raced yet another thunderstorm on Mather Pass, but was grateful for my endurance and speed that day that got me up and over without any issues.
By Day 24, I was preparing to hike Mount Whitney. It was a special summit, although I did not aim for sunrise. Camping at Consultation Lake for the last night was definitely the way to end my journey on the JMT!
