Backpacking The Pohono Trail | Glacier Point to Crocker Point
Just one day after getting off the Hetch Hetchy Loop, I drove across the national park to Glacier Road. My journey started at 9 AM. From Glacier Point, it is approximately 8.5 miles to Dewey Point along the Pohono Trail. I logged just a little under 20 miles because I didn't want to miss the viewpoints or Sentinal Dome, which were all incredible!

Backpacking Hetch Hetchy Loop | Yosemite National Park
zhlédnutí 556Před 14 dny
I recently completed the Hetch Hetchy Loop in Yosemite National Park, which covers nearly 30-miles, offering stunning views of mountain lakes, waterfalls, the reservoir, and lots and lots of mud. I was informed of the bear activity at Lake Vernon, who paid a visit the morning of Day 2; I’d also hike through the thickest mud I’ve yet to experience. The trail is very exposed, so I was grateful fo...
Southbound | 25 Days on the John Muir Trail (SOBO) 2022
zhlédnutí 1,1KPřed 14 dny
In August 2022, I thru-hiked the John Muir Trail for the second time. I had planned to thru-hike the JMT solo, but after meeting Marcia in Mammoth before getting on trail, we ended up spending 16 days together, hiking over 135 miles from Yosemite National Park to Le Conte Canyon. On Day 16, I started my solo journey to Mount Whitney with a resupply exit in Independence. I raced yet another thun...

HECK YES!!! Please, lets go on adventures!!!
When you go hiking once and put it in your bio
😂😂
Of course I do. But would you want to kayak the Grand Canyon for 2 weeks? Or mt bike in Nepal? backpacking is easy mode. ;)
kayaking the grand canyon sounds amazing! a little too scared to mtn bike lol i like to go far, not hard 😛
Hi! I have a question I'm really curious about: why do you cover the underneath of your car like that? From some kind of animal? (I googled it and I couldn't find an answer). I have never seen that
hello :) it is to protect your undercarriage from marmots. recommended by the rangers in mineral king for overnight parking at the trailheads. apparently the marmots like to chew radiator wires to get to the coolant. so weird! you can check it out here: www.nps.gov/seki/planyourvisit/marmots.htm
@@forevershewanders ohh marmots, thank you!
Oh such of beautiful trail! And your soft voice and great attitude made it perfect! Thank you for sharing it ❤
Bears? Wildlife? How do u deal with them lol
Peak of the day: making new friends & hiking a new trail Pit of the day: spraining my ankle, no summit
Greetings from silverton😊hope ur ankle gets better and fast!
hope CO is treating you well!
I love the JMT man
Fantastic video. The views are awesome. Thanks for sharing. subd & 👍24
Take the time to let things heal. Learned the hard way that rushing it can make it a lot worse. Sending healing vibes!
Really appreciate it! 🧡
Congrats...LOVE Mt. Yale!
38 days...we like the sound of that. It hurt...didn't it?
Agree! Did all of my international adventures on my own. Kept offering to others but so many people are trapped in their bubbles.
I need to do this whole trail. I've only snowshoed parts of it; it's so pretty in summer too.
I would definitely love to return for snowshoe adventures! I hadn't realized I missed a few of the viewpoints, so I need to go back for those as well :)
Great video, thanks for sharing. Congratulations.
The most whimsical peak in that entire park, I love it

Beautiful places, hiking, views, footage. Video Like 👍
My goodness! Mr. Bear was a little close
definitely wasn't expecting that! lol
Just did this hike few weeks ago! One of my favorites
hopefully it wasn't too muddy for ya!
Constructive feedback: work on leveling your volume.
I agree lol thanks, I appreciate it!
Outstanding scenery my friend, gorgeous hike!
Not going to lie, the trail over Wapama Falls look scary and exciting to walk by at the same time.
it was totally worth it!
Thank you for this inspiring video. It’s a Colorado Mountain meditation. ❤

Seriously, be careful camping alone. I’m 6’ 200lb and I wouldn’t be alone and unarmed
Lol
Tell me you don't backpack out west without telling me you don't backpack out west. Stop with the fear bud.
Dang! Excellent!🙌
thank you!
@@forevershewanders You’re welcome!
I have a feeling they’re going to use your CZcams shorts as a dramatic window into your life for the missing person documentary we’ll all watch on Netflix in the next year or so
Well damn 😂
Im planning an attpted thru hike of the AT next year amd seriously thinking about going with a cannister instead of trying to mess with bear bag hangs. Ima 61 yo widow and having someplace to sit that isnt on the ground and not throwing out my should trying to hang might be worth the extra couple pounds.

Absolutely stunning backdrop for your pics as always Ms Vanessa😍😊
Shoutout to my tripod for always having my back 😂😂
Amazing 😮
Amazing way to spend just over three weeks. The JMT is beautiful, and I can see why you cone back time and time again.
No experience is ever truly the same. There is so much to see beyond the JMT in the Sierra, it forever has my heart!
Damn I have the exact same thingy! I completely forgot I had it I need to go try it
these little string lights are so helpful! I love that they are solar powered!
Yes ma’am you’re so very right😃
Bet you didn’t jump off the rock tho
you are correct 😂
John Muir would be proud
Amazing views, thanks for sharing.
Such a beautiful hike Ms Vanessa 😍☺️
I love my Quilt. But it isn't lighter. I've put my Quilt on my opened Sleeping bag = same size. Try it!
Definitely cool to see a bear, more cool from a distance tho😃 Glad the encounter went safest way possible and you’re ok👍🏻 Take care and keep safe Ms Vanessa, see ya next go round 👍🏻🙏🏻😃☺️

You ran through. No bear or man wants tou
Pretty sure the bear ran off 😂
I choose teddy Roosevelt 🧐
As I was preparing to document breakfast that morning, I saw this pretty little thing from the corner of my eye approaching me 👀 I said “HEY Bear” and it ran away but I would have loved some company. 😅 Here’s what you can do when encountering a black bear on the trail or at camp in Yosemite: 📢 be LOUD- make noise, and yell as loud as possible to scare the bear away. 🙆🏻♀️ act BIG by raising your arms and clapping poles in the air. 🗑️ keep all scented items locked away in a BEAR CANISTER 🚫 bear spray/pepper spray is NOT allowed in Yosemite National Park Have you seen a bear in the backcountry?
Dewey/Crocker/Stanford hike? Awesome hikes, beautiful scenery. Thanks for sharing.
That's it! Pohono Trail: Glacier Point to Crocker Point! I missed out on Stanford- i'll have to go back! :)
Beautiful believe me or not some structures that were made by nature like huge rocks, mountains, cliffs. Some are built by the ancients and weathered away over millions of years ago. Mainstream lies about our human timeline on earth. From Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺
