This video will show you how to use handwarmers. Handwarmers are small packets that you can use it to heat your pockets or small enclosed places and keep your extremities warm. Any variety that doesn't exceed 100F, and how long do they stay hot, and what's in them? I was told they could be used to keep a camera lens from fogging but don't want to overheat it.
Hey @UHFsstation1, While I'm not sure if they're great for your camera lens I know they can reach up to 158F (70C) and they are filled with natural ingredients (iron, water, cellulose, activated carbon and salt). *The peak temperature can vary based on storage and usage conditions*

I’ve heard of photographers strapping hand warmers around the lens with rubber bands and it works, it won’t burnt your camera or anything it gets hot but not even hot enough to mold plastic

I remember the first time I used one I was working at the beach in the winter time and pretty much sleeping out there. My buddy gave me one, and I thought it'd be like the heating pack in mres and soaked it in water. Safe to say my hands were not warm until later on in the day he gave me his😂😂😂

I need to use it only for 10 minutes when I walk to work and another 10 minutes coming back home in the freezing cold. I can't use it again the next day? So only 20 minutes a day.
Do I have to use it for 8 hours straight?

You can put it in a ziplock bag and seal it (very tight) to reuse them but it isn't guaranteed they will work again.

@@Nam61KY Yeah, they're meant for one time use but work using oxygen to active, so you can use the method I said to reuse them.

I’m not sure have you tried it? I’ve heard that you’re not supposed to shake it.
It will explode on you if you shake it
@Eduardo Diaz, If you shake these nothing will happen. While these get hot there isn't anything combustible in them.
I heard the shelf life on these is only about a year, have about 8 packs of them approximately 1 - 1 1/2 years old and they dont even get piss warm. bought them to throw in my cars for winter now I'll just throw them out.

Lol if your asking for a drug test you just have to blow on it till the liquid cools bqck down get a u pass ans the bottle has a temperature gauge on the side

It all depends on the environment of where the packet is placed
Hi @arturo_garza, they may not be as hot as you'd like because of two primary reasons. 1) They weren't stored in ideal conditions. You want to store them in a dry place at room temperature. 2) They provide optimal temperatures when in confined spaces like your gloves or pockets. If you are aware of these steps and follow them you can easily extend their life and potency beyond the expiration date. Hope this helps!

Do these work for heating fake pee for drug tests? If so how long before I test should I activate them ?
@adalinaramirez: Hand warmers typically take about 15-30 minutes to heat up, so activate them accordingly before your test.
