@@rawrfishing I'll definitely check them out thanks, we're limited with bait casters in Ireland. Not many people fish with them. I use the Shimano tranx in the ocean for Atlantic bass and pollock

@@rawrfishing couldn't help it and ordered a Chameleon spool for mine today haha. The stock spool throws 5 inch weightless worms great, hoping to be able to throw 3 inchers with the new spool 😀
uh oh.. someone gonna go down the slippery slope now lol. next thing u will do are micro bearings LOL. that is if u wanna throw down to .. maybe 1 gram? be cool if we can do that ya?
Although I have not used it this season, I do! It's one of the best in my arsenal! I have been fishing different techniques and lures lately and newer reels. I would sell some of my used reels to get rid of them, but not this!
Is it possible that I’ve been misusing this reel? I bought one last summer and spooled it with 8lb J-Fluro Samurai, and I feel like I have to way over brake this reel to avoid backlashes, and then my casting distance is drastically shortened in comparison to my Zillion SV TW. I am typically casting shakey heads using up to 3/16oz jig heads, but not over, or lipless cranks up to 3/8oz but not over. Have I just been casting too heavy of rigs for the braking on this reel?
This reel is somewhat unique with the SV Spool. If u wanna cast light lures, one should use thin lines and onlu spool up to the mid section of the spool. If you remove all the line off your spool, you will see a line. That allow anglers to throw lighter lures easier as it keeps the total weight of the spool light and it also dispense less line per rotation to prevent over spooling. Give it a shot!
@@rawrfishing do you think it would cast better throwing heavier rigs in its current setup? Say rigs 1/2oz and heavier? I typically consider what I’m currently throwing as middle of the road, anything lighter say 2-7g I’m casting on TW 80 with Gomexus spool… Versus I feel like the Zillion will handle 7-20g with relative ease in its stock configuration. I really thought that this reel would at least handle the 5-14g range. Where I’d normally have to cast that on the zillion in the area of 4-6 brake on the zillion, I am having to brake at 8-10 on this reel. Perhaps the SV Boost spool has just spoiled me.
@@WesMoran I think this reel could handle 1/4 to 1 oz easily filled to the max. The reel certainly behaves a bit differently than my Tatula... I get some backlash here and there with this reel.. But over all, it's been good to me. I should bring it back out sometimes. I don't think I have used it for quite some time!
SV spools are versatile as they are light. But this reel out of the box, if spooled max and not to the first line like I have, works well medium power rods and up. You choose your rod and line for specific technique! I would say it's a great all rounder for a typical bass lures
4 gram being 1/16th? Ugh. Is the tatula really a bfs combo? Saw one at dunhams for 239$ it felt good but i already have 3 mh's and wanna get rid of the spinning one 😂
Huh? No... 4 grams is not 1/16th. You can use Google conversion if you need. But 3.5 grams is about 1/8th Oz. This is not the Tatula BF 70. This is the Tatula SV TW 103. Tatula BF 70 shines in a L and ML power rod. Watch my full videos of the Tatula BF 70 If u wanna learn more

They are okay. Their ways have changed and that's why I left their ambassador program. They are no longer affordable innovation. They spend big money to advertise now and all prices went up. They also focusing on more expensive products, some are not as great. But if you enjoy go for it. Right now yen is down so the smart thing to do is import JDM products. What do you run your breaks at ? I find 5 works the best. Any less I get a overrun
Most of my Daiwa I run at 6 for most situations. 4 for soft close range cast for quiet entry and 8 on super crazy windy days and 12 for skipping
