- Its been 5 years since my boss and good friend ,
sadly passed away on May 19th, 2006,
Freddie Garrity passed away in Wales whilst on holiday.
He was 69 and will be sadly missed by thousands of people
the world over.
To me, he was a friend and a teacher.
He taught me how to have fun with music and
how to entertain people. He was a master of this.
During the six years that I performed as a Dreamer with Freddie,
I took hundreds of hours worth of home video film.
We travelled the world from Europe to the Caribbean,
Australia and America.
In 2004, I compiled all this film into an interesting
one hour and ten minute video
featuring the best parts of my travels with Freddie.
The film includes many of my favourite tracks which Freddie
recorded way back in the Sixties with the original Dreamers.
This film is an intriguing insight into the working band
that was to be Freddie's last set of Dreamers.

watched these guys as a small child.My sister and I had Pinky and Perky wallpaper in our bedroom,my father put it up for us.. smile
Freddie was my first Pop hero, I saw him live several times. His passing was a great loss. R.I.P Freddie
Had this on VHS in the 90s, I'm 31 but my Mum grew up with Pinky & Perky so bought it for me, always loved this little song!
I'm 30, with exactly the same story! Looking back now, Pinky and Perky looks terrifying XD
i still own that vhs tape it was pink and whenever you press the small button on the case it played a musical tune i got a lovely bunch of coconuts 😅
My sister and I used to watch Good Neighbors ( The Good Life in the UK) They had these two pigs named Pinky and Perky. We didn’t know they were named after this show. My sister had a cat named Perky and my cat is named Pinky. Here in the US, we grew up with Alvin and the Chipmunks

Loved Pinky and Perky from my childhood.
My grandfather nicknamed 2 of the bosses/ "directors" at work "Pinky & Perky." This was in the early '70s. One of them was a really nasty piece of work, very "up himself." He often tried to make things very difficult for my grandfather because he wanted him out, but his little schemes didn't work. One day he called my grandfather into his office and said: (fake posh accent)" I hear that someone has been referring to Mr. (don't know the other guy's name) and myself as "Pinky and Perky." (Hoping to catch him out). My grandfather replied, deadpan: "Really, Sir? Fancy that." Grandpa left the man's office and guessed who had "told" on him - another colleague, whom he never trusted again. He carried on as usual till retirement. Any time Pinky & Perky get a mention I laugh because of the story about the nicknames.
I'm only 14 and this is a part of my childhood, I remember buying the vhs from a boot fair and it was my favourite video, I even showed all my 6 yr old friends haha

This version of the song is infinitely better than the album version and, unfortunately, the album version is the only version with good sound quality. Where can I find a better sound quality of THIS one??

Pinky is the one wearing the beret, by the way...
One wore a red outfit and the other blue - but, since red and blue look the same in black and white - even if they had a third pig in green, you couldn’t have told them apart - Perky wore a beret!
Incidentally, who is the other porcine character to the right of the telly? He or she is cute, for a puppet!
