    Jets need d-men! give the young forwards a chance. But the Jets need d depth. They need hitters.

      I can think of only ONE move that so far this month the Jets have done: acquire defenseman Dylan Coghlan from the Canes for so-called “future considerations.“ from May to last month. The Jets signed 2 players: goaltending prospect Tom Milic (to a 3-season entry-level contract to take effect this month, with his age 21 as of the date of the signing of that contract) and, to a 4-season extension (also to take effect this month), d-man Dylan DeMelo. The Jets sure could’ve used a hard-hitting blueliner similar to what Chris Tanev had been for the Flames and Stars before the trading of his rights late last month from the Stars to the Leaf team that under 36 hours later would sign him to a multi-season contract.
