- On the latest Blackhawks Talk Podcast, Pat Boyle and Charlie Roumeliotis react to a flurry of signings on Day 1 of NHL free agency for the Blackhawks. The guys talk about how much better the Blackhawks got and project where Tyler Bertuzzi and Teuvo Teravainen could slot into the lineup. Plus, they discuss Blackhawks GM Kyle Davidson attempting to acquire the No. 4 overall pick from Columbus to presumably select Ivan Demidov. They also offer their takeaways from Blackhawks play-by-play announcer Rick Ball's first media availability.

Kurashev isnât a top line player on a playoff team. He had a fine year playing with Bedard but if the Blackhawks expect to contend for a playoff spot heâs not what youâre looking for on a #1 line.
Playoff spot? Really? I don't think so
@@rfjohnson69 Bingo, maybe 75-80 points total for this group on the high side.
@@anthraxfan93 yeah that was my estimate as well. 80 point is everything goes their way. 55 if everything goes badly. 65-70 most likely.
â@@rfjohnson69 I Agree With That
Going from being very close to the worst team to a playoff spot is a big jump. They certainly made some very good moves to be a better team though. Strange. A GM of a Chicago team doing what needs to be done. They needed to add toughness. Needed to add guys who were tough and willing to be hard on the puck along the boards and in the corners. Also to protect Bedard. Now they just have to add more scoring help besides Teravainen.
Very happy that Teuvo Teravainen âTurboâ is back in a Blackhawks uniform! I like him when he was then a young player with great talent in the mid 2010s alongside with my third favorite Blackhawk Artemi Panarin âBreadmanâ as well, who was also a young talented player. it sucks, that we let him go in the summer of 2017 for Saad. It was a heartbreaker. I like and respect Saad, but he wasnât in the same level as Panarin in his second stint. I wish bowman didnât trade Panarin in the first place. I really hope Artemi Panarin will comeback to the Blackhawks in the future. I miss both of them so much.
86 Turbo Teravainen Back In The Indian Head
I wish 86 never left. The Hawks needed to bring in some legit vets. But itâs still all about the development of the kids.
Goalie, we needed badly đđ
Brossoit is a very good one. He just needs to stay healthy
Gentleman I have always loved your work covering the Blackhawks where will you guys be landing as we approached the NHL season ?
Let's Go Blackhawks â€ïžđ€
Letâs go Blackhawks
So pumped for this team!
Nice days to draft. Hopefully, this new season will be a better one.
Not sure how much TJ Brodie has left but add him to the additions as well
I heard the Blackhawks wanted Lindstrom with the #4 pick not Demidov.
If true they never would have acquired him as Columbus coveted him too and werenât trading that pick with Lindstrom available. I would have loved to see Lindstrom on the Hawks.
Actually... they wanted Demidov, but Anaheim screwed it all up
b/c they DIDN'T choose Lindstrom... and Columbus really wanted Lindstrom... so they turned down the offer once Lindstrom was available.
@@AmericaHasFallen2020 Yeah it was definitely Demidov; it couldn't have been Lindstrom. Maybe Kyle should have selected Lindstrom then trade back up for Levshunov/Demidov. Verbeek & Co did a great job of hiding their pick.
I think taking Levshunov over Demidov is gonna prove to be a huge mistake
# 4 pick?
Kurashev Boisvert and Moore on the 3rd line in a few years will be awesome
Exactly plus when levshenov is at his best heâs projected to become a Norris trophy level defender
Thatâs a low bar to set but maybe
@@shawnbrdlik6213 That would mean that the Hawks have a super deep team
@@Lebowski55 I know but youâd hope more and Boisvert have the upside to be better than 3rd line players as first round picks
â@@shawnbrdlik6213Exactly
They just might.....might be close to 200 goals next year.
No mention of T.J Brodie??
I heard us not getting Colombusâs pick was all because stupid pat verbeek stretched on getting Senecka and colombus was gonna give it if they drafted Cayden Lindstrom
According to NHL Central Scouting the Hawks got 4 of the top 27 players in the draft! Of course the clowns on here that are "experts" think they know better! Kyle has done a great job and anyone who says different is an idiot!
Totally agree. Very different from previous Blackhawk management. Davidson is doing what needs to be done. Refreshing. đ
The only negatives are we COULD have gotten Demidov and Nabokov. Nabokov for sure given we threw 34 away for nothing đ€Šđ»ââïž
Not nothing we traded up seven spots for 50. Thatâs a decent trade
Listen the only difference is season ticket holders recognize the losers names ! They had to many no names . Some of these guys were done 1-2 years ago ! If your excited about any of these guys you are just patronizing this nonsense !
It's all window dressing to make up for the fact that they didn't pick the right guy at two.
â@@peterolbrisch8970 cant say that till we see how all these kids develop...your a đ€Ą!!
It's just a bunch of window dressing to make up for the fact that they didn't pick the right guy at number two. đąđąđą
According to an armchair GM
@@BedardHawks We're going to see, aren't we. Yes we will.
@peterolbrisch8970 yeah we will, although I have no doubt you'll be whistling the Levshunov tune by 2026. And pretending you always were
@@BedardHawks Why? Why would I pretend? Now you're just being a hostile jerk because we don't agree on something. Ok, fine.
@@peterolbrisch8970 I've seen the armchair GM act many, many times before. There is a reason he is being paid for it and you're not
Garbage filler moves minus TT, this is one clueless GM
Filler is sort of the point champ
The Hawks needed to be tougher, particularly along the boards and in the corners. The signings helped that. They also needed more and better d men to teach the younger d guys. They got that. Did they sign all stars? No. But they got better players that will improve the team. A few years ago, you had management that was clueless as to what they needed.
Youth movement? This is Hockey hell.maybe Kyle is trying for Bedards cousins. Draft sucked.
HAWKS WIN !!
