This is a lesson that I didn't need, which I taught to myself by facing a track and trying to make three rings (left, in front of me, and right) while I was in the muscle memory stage of learning poi, and then I did it with two poi. But hearing this explanation makes this move a bit more tangible, I guess one could say. As I do it now, and I notice that my hands are apart in the meeting point, I almost feel like I'm holding some kind of ball or gear at the center of a large wheel. It's really fun to imagine that I'm holding something at each meeting point, and that new term alone makes this lesson really neat and fun!
