Learn everything necessary to learn Character Animation utilizing Autodesk Maya taught by a AAA game professional with university level accredited instruction! We will cover the basics starting with the Ball Bounce, Pendulum, and how to apply the 12 principles of animation to the human form. We will apply all fundamental aspects taught to create full in game polished animations of: Idle, Walk, Run, Jump and more.
In this foundation course we will be learning the fundamentals of Character Animation and game development. (specifically for the Unreal engine, but this method will also work for other game engines such as Unity).
Autodesk Maya is the industry standard 3D animation software, understanding the concepts in this course will help you land a job in the game, film, tv, or music industry. In this course you will learn how to animate your custom created character from scratch.
Over 13 hours of Animation instruction!
We’ll be utilizing the latest software packages that top tier gaming studios of today use to create all of your favorite titles!
Autodesk Maya, Unreal Engine’s Maya Animation Rigging Toolset (A.R.T. for short), and the Unreal game engine.
Why Learn From Class Creatives?
This course features an accredited university level animation instructor who has over 15 years of experience animating both keyframe, and motion capture for studios such as Naughty Dog (Uncharted Franchise), Insomniac (Ratchet and Clank Franchise), Guerilla Games (Killzone Franchise), Sucker Punch (Infamous Franchise), Google, Disney and more. Whether it be a complex hyper realistic animation or a cartoony stylized “Disney” character animation it ALL starts with the fundamentals which we cover in these lectures.
Spiderman 2099 was one of my fav games on my 3ds. I love learning about the techniques and pipelines that the companies have to bring such stories to life
Amazing video!

Can’t wait! 🎮🕷️

As always we appreciate you 😀
wow
Very informative video as usual!
Appreciate it! 🫡
30 YEARS: The 3D film and TV broadcast Market share wise 1992 - 2000 it was SoftImage (XSI) and Lightwave , Autodesk 3DSMAX held down games and arch-viz. 1998 -2010 Maya came in and behemoth its way into all productions. Autodesk bought Maya. Cinema4D and Modo competed for LW spot. During the 2010s Lightwave lost its marketshare. Autodesk bought SoftImage and got rid of it. Blender improved itself over several interactions and competed with Cinema4D. 2020 is mostly Maya and indie productions with Blender. C4D, Modo, 3DSMAX are left to fight among themselves with the scraps.
Zbrush has its own perch and is still secured at what it does best. Unreal dominated 2010s in gaming and reigns there as complementary to Maya.
C4d is also widely used currently in the advertising field
This in Zbrush softwares are to expensive, but there is a reason
I like this.
Does anyone know where I can watch more content like at 7:07-7:13?
The first part you can just look up how motion capture works, for the second part you can look at animation demo reels
This video did not inform me as to why blender is inadequate.
Of course there is nothing wrong with animating for your personal projects and learning Blender, this video simply shows how Maya is used in professional production environments and how AAA top tier game studios will want experience with software such as Maya for animation and Zbrush for character modeling if you wish to work for them. Blender will not be used in production in the foreseeable future by studios like Insomniac because of the way games are made, especially since there are established pipelines created specifically for franchises like Marvel Spider Man already in place.
@@ClassCreatives I think the commenter was moreso refering to how this video doesn't delve into the advantages Maya brings for professional triple A studios and why it's better than alternatives like Blender, you probably go into this in your courses or other videos specifically on that topic, but here you moreso mention Maya being industry standard rather than explaining the reasons they're industry standards while others aren't.
hope this wansn't worded in a confusing way or something.
Why would blender be inadequate? Because blender lacks 40-70% of the animation tools that Maya provides, maya is top tier 3d modeling and animation software used by professional AAA companies because it allows them to do those things with as little limitations as possible, it's stable, and doesn't crash under large loads like blender, blender can be very unreliable at times and doesn't provide proper support divisions that professionals require from their software, thats in part because of it being open source and the blender team being like, a dozen dudes only lol, blender does many different things, and because of that, it doesn't manage to specialize in most all that much, it's a general software, while maya, houdini, mari/substance painter, are all specialists softwares that are literally top in their class.
@@Dominicn123 a bit late, but I appreciate the info.
The Amazing Spider-Man suit .... shown on the thumbnail is exclusive to 'The Amazing Spider-Man (2012)' Video Game - has never made an appearance again.
Sorry but isn’t that game is still available or is that a different game? Can you give more detail?
@@Aem2512 Key difference being an added utility belt - otherwise practically identical to the film version
@@batmanvsuperman_ Is that a model from unreleased game or what??
@@Aem2512 .... brother, read. 'The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) Video Game
@@batmanvsuperman_ Oh sorry… So this is an already a game (i know). And this suit has belt for extra. Normally film version doesn’t but suit is the same. Okay, i get it. Thanks.
I worked with Autodesk Maya.
