3:42 that is actualy legal because its using the new clip piece
the friends sets have a different print that lego cant mass-produce, thus only including the base-torso in the instructions
Yes
3:43 the1x1 clip was updated meaning they forgor about the illigle list lmao
They made another mistake in friends theres 7 heads but only 6 minifigures in the set LOLđ look at 7:47
The clip to tile is a legal technique because it's using a different and updated version of the 1x1 clip
love your videos Tiago!
The plate on clip isnt ilegal because there is the technique in the 2019 rexcelsior and the ucs helicarrier
If Tiago says it then heâs right
Like the Saturn 5
I was about to comment this lol
Did not expect the Lego Castle theme to perfectly represent a VPN service
I didnât know the LEGO Castle Theme was useless
There was also a evil knight guy on the right side of the castle breaking in and taking a chest đ
Chest=personal info
Bro it was possibly the best and smoothest ad plug Iâve ever seen
E
Felt like a rick roll
3:30
Lego made an updated version of the piece that's able to take that plate without causing stress, thus making it a legal build.
The old illegal piece has straight outer edges that meet with the base of the 1x1. The new legal piece however has rounded outer edges like a Minifigure's hand.
And the tile in the image of "definitely illegal" looks to be a 2x2 tile and not a 1x1
6:42 "They've gone plaid!"
Did this man just call Dobby âDoughbeeâ
I noticed that too. Didn't mean to copy this comment. A coincidence in itself.
He said it was an inside joke with him and his friends
@@97SEMTEX no he commented on another personâs comment that it was an inside joke between him and his friends during school.

Ik itâs not spelled dobees itâs just how he said it
DOBEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES
It's pronounced do bee though...
@@SpitBrix you eshould make a video where you make a lego hamster made out of lego with lego to make a lego hamster with what lego hamster is lego now yes i love hamsters :)
My brother has that Dobby's release set and he tried to follow the instructions rather than the correct box art lol. Eventually worked out it was a mistake but still...
4:30 that is not a mistake. If you go to the official lego store and zoom in on one of the product pictures, it sometimes glitches out and and the image is there twice. And if you look really closely, every other building in the background is there twice too.
Yeah, if you look closely youâll see it pretty clearly
The red plaid torso mistake Iâm absolutely certain is real. I got a Harry Potter castle set back in the early 2010s and I didnât have ANY minifigures with the box aside from.. the head of a random ass Star Wars alien. My dad luckily went back to the store and ended up getting correct mini figures for the set, and I still have that weird ass alien head somewhere in my Lego box.
How tf could that have happened
3:35 I think this is legal, there is an old version of that clip and a new one. In the pictures it is the old clip that is illegal. And this set it uses the new one (the old one breaks faster and doesn't fit well).
This is true and I was about to make the same comment. LEGO made this technique legal when they released the new âo clipâ for most clip based modified plates. The o clip essentially makes it a minifig hand and attaching tiles to minifig hands has always been legal.
I was about to write the same thing
Lol, I own this jet đđđ
That's absolutely correct. The illegal build is for completely different version of the clip which *do* imply way too much force! Please pay attention to the details :)
That is honestly one of the funniest ad reads ever.
Ikr? Spitbrix's BEST AD EVER!
I dont mind adds when the content creator actually spends some time on it.
@@NitronNeutron Ik, but sometimes they're just hilarious. And that's what I was trying to say.
3:00 skip sponsor
Yeah
Thanks
Some of these issues must definitely be more common than one might think, so I'm sure this series will continue. I remember the pain of the 2x piece-with-sticker, only to find out one was going to end up flipped (because I wasn't one to look ahead and "spoil" the build I guess, lol). Also, I never knew the lack of needed pieces in a step was an issue. I feel I remember many steps that would just show the step and it's up to you to play "find the differences." It's only when some might be unclear or hard to see that you'd get the helpful note of needed pieces. Just like you showed in a previous video about how instructions have developed over time, I actually liked that, and I believe it gave me a lot of practice to paying attention to details. I didn't like the new instructions where even two pieces together could be a whole step. It felt tedious and a waste of paper. Anyone remember folded, single-sheet instructions?
Having said that, apart from pointing out I'm talking about sets from probably 80s-90s, I may also be confusing non-LEGO building sets. It's like I would have easily remembered that distinction when I was young.
1:53 thats the best sponser transition i've ever seen
Fun fact I never used the bags when they were âneededâ I would open them all, separate by color, and then put together⊠I did this since I was 5 when I built the general grievous statue (2008)
They called me a madman...
@@--cobb--1674 :)
i just opened all the bags and put them all in 1 pile...
i now know my mistakes
@@kukrireal worse than me lol, You can do that with small sets. But anything with with 2+ bags you canât
I mean you can, but itâs sooo painful
11:20
It looks like a Five Nights at Freddy's building set booklet by McFarlane Toys.
Specifically the FNaF 1 Stage from the original wave of their building sets. I can recognize this from the grid-like pattern if the tiles as well as the textures on them and the pixelated instruction number resembling the pixelated font from the FNaF series.
Ayo your more specific than the Pacific ocean
corey what does that mean? really corey WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
It always makes me happy to see LEGO puts so much work and effort in their product to make it of a high quality
A mis-printed bag is not an "illegal" building technique, its just that...a mis-print.
Illegal or cursed
In his previous videos he explained that he includes misprints as âbreaking the rulesâ
@Julien Yon Heretic! Lego will excommunicate you.
@@bennettanderson9839 Yes but that is literally impossible to even do outside of the print.
5:45 RIP being able to put the old flame brickâs tiny pegs into the little hole on the old nozzle piece.
Exactly what I was thinking when I saw that
3:38 I believe that with the clip piece it depends on what version of the clip piece you are using. With the old clip piece (seen in 3.43 with the straight sides) it is indeed illegal as it puts too much strain on the piece, but with the one in this kit (with the rounded side) it is legal I believe.
3:43
As someone who normally skips the sponsored segments, I didn't skip the one in this video because of how smooth that transition was.
2:23 I love how the sets name is literally ''NordVPN Castle'' Lol
This is my favourite series from you.
Me to i love it
Those bandits regretted messing with those knights, who actually were protected by LordVPN.
Sith Troopers: âalright men, letâs goâ
6:41 one Sith Trooper: *âIâM GOING LOGGING! I NEED MY PLAID SHIRT!â*
The cloned construction worker isnât the only error in that set. If you look closely, you can see that the entire set has a slightly faded copy of itself behind it. Specific areas that are easier to notice are the double storefront through the bike shop windows as well as a second back bike tire behind the tiny mountain on top.
12:33 having owned the set I literally didnât notice that until I watched this video
The biggest rule he broke was calling Dobby, Doughby
9:25 AHAHA yes i remember this step while i was building it!
Printing errors aren't really "breaking their own rules"
i mean he gotta stretch out the video somehow
3:38 well,The lego architeture set of Las Vegas makes that same thing.
IS NOBODY GONNA TALK ABOUT HOW HE PRONOUNCED DOBBY?!?!?!?
1:54 That transition into the sponsor was smoooooth
3:37 I believe this was made legal when they redesigned the 1x1 clip piece. It has very similar features the minifigure hand and the other 1x1c clip piece. The set even uses the new piece
Yeah, even the new Discovery Shuttle has this.
Who decides the lego laws?
@@tribot_leader THE BRICK JUDGE
@@tribot_leader the lego company
@@tribot_leader The "laws" are more so in place to insure that no pieces breaks or sets falling apart then anything Ileagal or not,
11:50 They updated the prints from some common pieces like that one, the 1x1 gauge, the 1x1 calculator and I think some other 1x2 console pieces. The Creator Expert Ecto-1 instructions are full of these errors where they show the old designs, but the sets come with the new designs.
As far as I know there are three and ECTO-1 has all of them:
* This one was the first to change in 2019, appearing in some versions of the Space Shuttle 60226 in dark bluish gray. Later versions are light bluish gray however. More funny my version of 60264 still has the old one.
* Secondly the single gauge lost it's gray center and is optional for ECTO-1 and Ninjago City Gardens.
* The third one is the double gauge with the "82". That one comes optional in ECTO-1, 42116 and the brick built Minions.
All three pieces are also used in several other sets, but there it's always the same version.
I was just perusing this series for fun when I got to about the 12:00 mark and realized, that 1x2 printed plate is actually the vehicle control panel from the LEGO Rock Raiders sets! Man what a throw back.
At 11:56 I took a look at my peice (Bc I have this set) and it looks like the set artwork
I think thatâs the best way of introducing an ad youâve ever done.
The one on the thumbnail does actually work I have the set
Yeah, it's a newer style of clip piece that allows the connection without stressing the piece.
@@LegoTFGuy it's not a new set tho it's about 5 years old now I think
3:22 I knew from the thumbnail that I had that set! That was one of my favorite sets to play with for a long time.
God that nord VPN transition was smooth and brutal
This is just me being nitpicky, but a lot of these aren't exactly breaking the rules, as much as these're just design error. Breaking the rules would be more akin to the 3:25 (which is actually legal due to it being an update version of the clip piece). I'm not saying that this is bad or anything, though it does annoy me personally, as it seems a bit misleading
We call this click-bait.
8:07 LEGO: "No one looks at the back anyway, they will never notice!"
4:46
My brain:âthis is getting out of hand now there are two of them!â
bad guy 1: "what are you in for?"
bad guy 2: "I placed a 1x1 flat piece into a 1x1 vertical clip piece"
5:55 I mean an oxygen-acetylene welding tanks does require two different gasses to work so it could get away with it
Nothing illegal with that
4:52 behind the rock with a bike on it there is a tire behind it
Want to hear a lego series who breaks a lot of building rules?
LEGO mario
The guy with the sith trooper, he got one of the incredibly rare parody sets. đ
I may be a little late on the cake with this, but on the back of the box for "Krennic's Imperial Shuttle" it shows that "K-2SO" has a blaster that is not included in the set.
3:06 I have the Blue Fighter Jet and still question that one piece placement when I look at it on my shelf
8-bit guy.
Just get a black 1x1 hinge piece then stick the clear 1x1 green tile on the black stud
It's perfectly legal
They remade the clip so that the connection is legal. Blue jet uses that newer clip.
6:10 this actually happened to me recently as well! I got the wrong torso piece. Coincidentally also a red jacket. Luckily Lego has awesome customer support so I was able to contact them and get the correct piece free of charge. :)
I got it too, but I didn't care since I thought I was seeing a hallucination.
LEGO: Three Flags.
MR SIX: Six flags! More flags: more fun!
In the 2006 slave 1 it has a error! At the back of the box it shows the cloud city boba fett from a different set. but you actually get a different boba fett in the set
Did not expect to see a mcfarlane set in this video.
I even have that set. Itâs really nice despite being offbrand
10:45 when i opened the day that had the pit droid, I ended up getting two in the box. I think they had their own separate packaging, so there were two bags.
Wheel Loader (8271), Lego Technic: When you build precisely following instruction, it would steer the opposite way you turning little gear at the top.
There are no rules in lego except for one which is having fun and experiences
False
4:06 I think the Classic TV show Batmobile has a similar technique for the viewfinder but with the gold 1x2 grill piece.
I would like to point out that you're mixing rule-breaking with mistakes or errors.
The video is talking about lego being inconsistent (errors), while your video title also being inconsistent with the content presented (errors does not have anything to do with illegal lego building techniques).
The transition to the advertisement was clean bro
That Wind Turbine one is interesting but doesn't break the rules. A similar instance can be seen in the 2021 Tie Fighter which includes both the current and the brand new 4 x 4 dish piece, with the one having a bar hole in it. That new dish is really useful and definitely an improvement, but just looks so odd as I'm so use to the current design.
11:22 Lemmie guess, this image is from a McFarlane Toys Fnaf Showstage set.
The spiderman set looks so funnnnnnyyyy when the sticker floats in the air đ
6:24 Pajama party trooperđ
Just to clarify 11:21 isnât actually considered a knock off. Itâs Mcfarlan Toys FNAF sets I actually had this exact set. They just donât have great instructions. If mega construx isnât a knock off this isnât either. The bricks are very distinctive from lego too. They look a little more realistic. Lol
Tbh they do use the same system
@@willymwidjajakusuma1207 technically yes but knock off is too far
What set is it?
You didnât have to do Dobby like that by calling him dobie
That was such a good transition to the sponsor
I remember seeing things like these in my old lego sets, I just canât for the life of me remember which ones they were.
Pretty sure the tile in clip is now a legal technique since they updated the part to not break as easily
This video is already done and he can't change the video anymore. Stop bringing this up commenters.
That âfakeâ set is actually a McFarlane toys set, which does NOT claim to be LEGO nor does it copy official sets or themes, therefore it is not a fake.
Yeah it's not fake
Yep
AND NO SINGLE PERSON TALKS ABOUT HOW GOOD THAT NORDVPN AD WAS. MY BRO DID GREATEST AD THAT IVE SEEN HAHA
âThatâs right, these knights are being ambushed because they are not using todayâs sponsor, Nord VPN!â
Thatâs probably the smoothest transition into talking about a sponsor Iâve ever seen. đđ
The thing at timestamp 4:57 is just a glitch that happens on the actual site
On the Welcome to Apocalypseburg set, the same thing happens in the 2021 Imperial TIE Fighter set 75300 (idk what page its on, im too lazy to look)
All this lego ninjago makes me wanna binge the show again
Doughbee got me wheezing đ
The City shopping one isn't a mistake. If you look through the bike shop you see the image duplicated. This happens on some browsers when you click on an image to zoom. The original image will be left behind the zoomed in one. Happens all the time to many different sets.
The Sith Trooper with wrong uniform: Sorry I just Waking up from a nightmare

Honorable mention for frustrating building technique: 1Ă1 pillars. It's a 2Ă2 tile with a stud on top, a tall 1Ă1 brick, and any baseplate.
I just noticed in the background of the resistance bomber set it looks like thereâs a Jedi interceptor
Hi!
Now THAT'S how you make a sponsor.
The first lego breaks even the physics lol
1:33 what is wrong with Dobby

1:40 "Master gave Dobby his cape. Dobby is free!"

Well you could not many people notice the smaller errors
@@chaoticclonestudios yeah. Lol usually the only times I have a problem is when I am doing a speed build. Then it doesn't matter if there is a mistake or not I would still miss a piece and not realize it until 3 pages later.
The resistance bomber mistake is surprising common for Star Wars sets of the recent years
The error with the Mech Jet never really came with mine. It had the same red piece you mentioned. Thanks for warning other people about this potential error!
That technique used on the fighter jet is actually a legal building technique because they aren't using the old version of the clip piece that isn't as flexible as the new version
That "illegal" building technique is in the LEGO batman 1966 batmobile.

I would not be shocked I would find it hilarious
