Thank you very much for this video. My wife's tablet was doing the reset at random times. After inspecting the actual battery connector, all 6 pins were not soldered. It appears like the pins are contaminated because they were very hard to solder even when using no-clean flux on the pins. After soldering them down, now the tablet works without reset. Your video helps me figure the issue out. Thank you again.
After 7 years of use, my Tab S 8.4 has the same problem, which always restarts. then I did the repair exactly as shown in this video.... 100% success. Thank you very much Sorin, now my Tab S works normally.
this guy teaches so calm i think i would have learnt more with him
I want to thank you so much! I fixed my valuable tab s 10.5 with 1 minute of soldering. Great!
I have had this issues I am going to check mine as well thanks for the info glad to see some one putting this type of content out
Terrific - thanks for this, and well spotted. You have good eyesight! Repair worked for me too, much obliged.
شكرن علا مجهدك انا استفيد كذيرن من شروحاتك
Thank you soooooooo much for this solution I was having this problem with my tab 4 . I changed the battery and it was working good for a while but now the situation is repeating itself. I will definitely try this method . Thank u
I was getting crazy with the same problem, I was sure it was a hardware problem in the main board but i knew that CPU, RAM and SSD were fine, so no idea, a battery replacement did' t solve it. Nice to see you did the trick !! Thanks for share it and regards from Spain.
this video deserve an extra like, repaired it like a boss 8)
Oh my Goodness!!! This worked for me! Thank you so much!!! I have actually replaced batteries and charger, yet it trips and shows different battery percentage at startup, but with this fix, my beast tab is running very smooth. thanks a lot
c'est loin d'être sorcellerie mais c'est le fruit d'une extrême précision bravo notre ami
I think so
Really it worked for my galaxy tab S. Thanks for the video
Same fix for the 8.4" model (SM-T700)?
Thank you so much for this video.. it was realy good help.. wish you all the best.
Thx for the fix tip. Not easy to find indeed. Congrats !!
I have same problem. Thank you for showing us this.
Thanks, I got same problem and after following this video now I have fixed it!
Thanks man!! I think I solve my problem in 2021! 👌👍
I think this is the most acceptable troubleshooting for my tab also. that why charge does not hold much time. thank you I'll try this.
It was very useful and interesting video. Thnx
What's that clear stuff you put on before soldering?
flux, amtech flux
Thanks for the solution i open my tab before i watch this video and found out o had the same problem after installing a new battery i was going to replace the motherboard because i thought soldering would mess it up anyway thanks for showing me how you saved me alot of money
Andrew Gibson just for the records, this also fix the problem with the screen flickering and cpu heating, tablet freezing and so. Thanks
Mine started doing this yesterday. I also thought it is software issue but it is not. Tomorrow I will open it and solder the connectors.
Good luck! I will have to attempt it at some point too.
Can I ask why you bridged the pins together? :) I have the same tablet, same issue. I'm still learning, thanks to you
I guess the ones that were bridged were pos+ (red) to the other pos+ and neg- (black) to neg-, so didn't matter. I wouldn't bridge different colours together.
I have the same problem, thought it might be battery, today I got new battery, but problem still there. have to check it out this loose connection. thanks for showing this
Antother great video
Fantastic!!!It works..Thank you!
Cracked screen too. Indicates an accident at some point. My guess is that the person dropped it and the solder joints all cracked.
Be aware that people are fixing this issue by simply cleaning the battery contacts and reconnecting - no soldering necessary. There is a video on youtube about it.
PCs have power good signals. Which holds the reset high on the CPU. It could be that the solder joints are only interrupting that signal which is where you get that reset from. Which might be similar to a hard reset on a PC.
Thank you!!
Thanks for the video, worked for me as well!

Dear Sorin Can I solder with the battery connected? Or when should I must disconnect power on the board before I make the soldering? Thanks
very interesting, thank you for your efforts ...
I have the same tablet, checked the battery connector, changed the left speaker ( includes volume an power buttons ), but the tablet still won't start unless the power button is kept pressed, and will go off once you release the button. Any ideas what could be wrong ? Tried to fully discharge it, recharge it, i have reinstalled the firmware, no hope.
Hello! I have a galaxy tab S 8.4" T700. I have been searching for all the web and everyone seems to have the same problem... rebooting... do you think your solution would help me? Thanx for the super usefull video
I have the same tablet as yours and it has the same problem. Did you solve it?
@@facundorosa mine too did you find solution ?
I fixed one of these blindly i just resoldered the battery connector .
The microscope is very helpful. Now i realize that this problem alredy there.. last time when I try to disconnect battery connector. That connector pin moving like that.. i tought i pull the connector too much. Since i don have soldering tools and happen during day 1 lockdown at our town.. i just put card at the top of the board as temporary solution.
Hi I'm after some advice. Was having trouble with charging port on my Tab s. So replaced it. Worked ok for a week or so. Then just started restarting itself constantly bootloop. Then if it's bootlooping and I plug it in it powers down and just charges.
My tablet started doing this this morning. It's so annoying. I never had any problems with it until today. It keeps restarting but the battery stays at the same percentage. It doesn't change like yours does.
I wish I had the equipments and knew how to solder
EXCELENT VIDEO..............................
good job thanks
I've tried soldering that on a Samsung galaxy tab sm-t520, however it still self reboot or power off randomly but when it's connected to the power cord everything works fine. I've already tried replace the battery but it does the same. Any idea what could be the problem? . Also noticed that when it's power off i need to connect to charger to power on.
me too. any solution?
@@williamho9664 mine too any solution ?
Do you know if the logic board is both same a T800 and T801 thanks in advance
Did you crack the screen?
Sorin says in the first two minutes "just ignore the cracked screen, the tablet comes with the cracked screen but that's not the problem"
Ty for usefull info...i have the same problem it keeps restarting by itself when not pluged to charger + it dosnt seem to be charging when its pluged even though it shows me that charger connected and charging but not really charging...although it charges but very slow when its shutdown... is that a battery problem or its just the connecter...plz help and thank you again very much
Mine goes into protective mode during boot up and loops over and shuts down. I noticed something gets hot very fast inside. Can this be a wifi chip short problem? Thanks
Hi, Excellent Video presentations, especially the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 !!! I have a very interesting sitution which has happened only recently where my Tab S 10.5 SM T800 boots - goes to the main screen and then drops out - screen goes black - re boots and back to the main screen then drops out again - re boots again and again and again !!! I disconected the battery connection and left it off for about 10 minutes foir the sysyem to decay, reconnected he battery connection and charged the unit overnight to 100%. Started the Tablet and ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, exectly the same happens, again and again and again. The little 'buzz' sound signifies that the system is shutting down before automatically re-booting again and again and again !!!
Have you any suggestions what might be causing this ??? I respect your knowledge in this matter and wait for yor reply - Thanks !!!
what did you do to fix it then?
@@SGhiacy Read my Comment again - the last sentence/s answer you question !!!
Please pay attention.
my tablet is samsung galaxt tab A.there is a same issue.if i choose this solution.will it be ok.?
same with me
Buna,am aceias problema cu un t800.Se restarteaza din senin.Si am observat mai mult cand e pus la treaba procesorul.Credeti ,ca se poate repara?
mine has exactly this type of problem of restarting when l hold the connector it works but if l take my hand off from the connector it goes off l am yet to solder it because l do not have soldering tools, samsung tablet 4
it worked
Hi. I have a problem with a samsung tab s t805 tablet that restarts 4 seconds after opening (stays on samsung writing).
If I try hard reset and have my finger on the power button it stays on, but if I take my finger off the button it turns off.
if I go into the reset menu it stays on and completes the installation, but when it restarts the old problem returns (rebooting).
I tried with another battery (second hand battery) and same problem !
any idea what the problem is?
Thanks.
I have exactly the same issue on my t-800. When holding the power button, it boots up fine. The moment I let it go, it shuts off and goes in an endless bootloop.
Do you know if i could replace the display from a samsung tab s wifi to samsung tab s LTE? thank you in advance.
most likely...the only difference would be one board contains the equipment for the LTE and a sim tray, the wifi will probably have a blank area on that PCB. The screen cabling will be standard between and as long as they are the same model series/year the compatibility will likely be 100%
I've got issues with my Tab s3 restarting. But in my case it doesn't seem to be hardware, but software.
why you are sipping soda near electronic devices! #because you are #cool guy!! haha! ok good video!
Sir,, please help me,, schematic samsung t819y?
how to jump the blue ones ? the pads fell off
Hi Kenneth did you ever find a solution, just had the same issue ive traced some connections but unsure if they are correct thanks.
As I wrote on XDA : it didn't fixed mine.. sadly.
What was the issue with yours?
Did you manage to get it repaired in the end?
nice job, but for me not works :/
.
This crappy microscope is ALWAYS out of focus
