    Great video, I'm from the Seattle area also. With the exception of white balance, do you think those settings work for most of the year around here or do you switch up say between summer and late fall? Also, it gets pretty gloomy in the trees here in do you make any changes for that?

    • @MTBCoop
      @MTBCoop  Před 4 lety

      I think these settings will hold true throughout the year aside from adjusting white balance based on your riding conditions. If you're riding through dark and gloomy trails, I recommend raising the shadows in post-processing. Let's get a ride in sometime!

    • @MTBCoop
      @MTBCoop  Před 3 lety

      Thanks, James! I initially struggled with uploading to CZcams as well. It has to do with how you "Render" your project. I use Davinci Resolve to edit my videos and render with the ProRes option. Let me know if this helps!

    Whats the difference between Hypersmooth 'On' and 'Boost'? Both of these are options when the Wide lens type is chosen, so I don't understand your point about SuperView being the only option for Hypersmooth.

    • @MTBCoop
      @MTBCoop  Před 3 lety

      Thanks for the comment! GoPro has two different stabilization options: Hypersmooth Boost and Hypersmooth. The Hypersmooth Boost option crops in and at the time of this video was only available on the "Wide" lens selection. With the recent GoPro firmware update, Hypersmooth Boost was added to the SuperView lens. Hope that helps clarify!

    @DerelictusAnima Před 3 lety +1

    Hello, I just got my Hero 8 recently and I do POV handcycling (I'm a paraplegic wheelchair user). So nothing major and extreme like your downhill MTB. But what would be the best presets for a "noob" who doesn't do any post editing whatsoever to get decent quality for general youtube videos? I do like night riding as well. I like to film in 1080p, smaller file sizes, I'm going to try your 24 fps now, see what it looks like (I used 60 fps before). I kept all your video settings, but set bit rate to low for smaller file sizes since I film in 1080p anyway. But what are the best audio settings for someone who will not do any post editing (and who likes his voice to be heard because I do commentary while riding)? I also use the protective housing case and film from my helmet.
    Thank you.

    • @MTBCoop
      @MTBCoop  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Sangi! Thanks for watching the video! I would recommend a preset that keeps it simple. Start with 1080p and 24/30fps. If you are riding at night, I'd recommend keeping your ISO and Shutter Speed at Auto (this will help with dark conditions). Regarding Audio, I recommend a windslayer which you can find on Amazon. If you purchase a windslayer, I recommend keeping Raw Audio off and Wind off as well. Hope this helps!

    • @DerelictusAnima
      @DerelictusAnima Před 3 lety +1

      Cheers, everything set as you said, but ISO you can only set manually, there is no auto, 100 minimum and 6400 max?
      I keep my camera in the protective housing (since my skydiving days), I love that armour so much, I will never keep my camera "naked" so I can't attach things like "windslayer" :)

    • @MTBCoop
      @MTBCoop  Před 3 lety

    Nice dude, hits all the checkboxes for a MTB preset! I get not wanting to color grade, as it’s a pain sometimes; though a pain I enjoy. Luckily, Resolve has some of the best grading tools & for GoPro footage, it never takes me more than a few minutes to general grade & depending on lighting, not too much polishing. The 2nd Loam Ranger video shows all the scopes to use, if I remember. That’s pretty much all I run off of too, when grading GoPro footage. Sub’d & keep pumping out content!
