  • The settings you have to change so your Atomstack S20, X20,A20 and possibly any other engraver that uses the ESP32 control board will connect directly to your wifi network and not have to act as an access point AP.
    $ESP110=STA
$ESP112=The name you want to assign to your laser
    $ESP102=Static
$ESP100=the name of your WiFi Network SSID
$ESP101=The password that you use to log into your WiFi network
$STA/IP=The IP address you want the laser to be assigned. eg:192.168.1.46
$STA/Gateway=The gateway of your router eg:192.168.1.1
$STA/Netmask=The Subnet Mask of your router. eg: 255.255.255.0
In case you want to connect to your router as an access point here is the WiFi adaptor I use.

One of the main reason I bought the Atomstack A20 is because of its wifi capability. However, Atomstack does not market this very well. It was initially difficult even to use the phone app to connect with the machine. Once this is solved, the phone app works quite well in controlling the machine through wifi.
However, your tutorial brings it to another level. Greatly enjoyed modifiying the $ESPs and $STAs albeit worried what would happen if something goes wrong during the mods. Thanks to you, all went well.
Question I have is that I read somewhere that we can run the machine either as a STA and AP simulatenously. This is advantageous if the network dies because we can connect through AP. Would you be able to help in configuring this mode. Thanks.

Had some troubles first because the ESP-Webhost showed the error message "File index.htlml.gz file is missing please upload it" and I had a weak WiFi connection breaking down unexpectedly. The channel host 737mechanic was so kind to send the missing file to me via PM which I uploaded to the flash filesystem of the machine using the "files select" and "upload" button for the flash filesystem. After a restart I was able to connect to my AtomStack A20 in AP mode and got into touch with the WebGUI shown in the video. After making all the changes suggested in the video to switch the ESP32 into STA mode I had first problems in getting no pings at all. Looks like it got a connection to the router, because it was listed there with the IP I had set by calling $STA/IP=, but it was not pingable somehow. To get remote control to the machine again, I connected the lasergrl app on my PC via USB to it and managed to switch back to AP mode via $ESP110=AP. While this worked well I gave it another try with STA mode and a different static IP. Then it started to work.
However, the WebUI of Lasergrbl is not very powerful, but you get a least some control over the machine a lot of status information and it lets you upload *.gc files to the SD card and execute them as noted in the video.

On the current version of Lightburn you can edit the device connection method to either Serial/USB or Ethernet/TCP. Under Laser Tab, press Devices button, select your machine, press the Edit button, click Next at Controller List, select Ethernet/TCP, click next, enter IP address of Laser Engraver, click next, click next, and click Finish.

I tried it and it doesn't work. It only works for a certain type of controller according to lightburn.

Nice idea. Maybe make a video showing the process by sending and cutting a file on the laser.

There is a lot of "fluff" and gathering the necessary information should be done first instead of being asked to gather after we disconnect from the network.

OK, I can see that will work but my issue at the moment is that I don't know how you are getting that ESP32-WEB screen up. Thanks for the video.

Anybody know how to reset the firmware to defaults that it shipped with? I changed routers and messed up the setup in ESP when trying to change IP.
wiffi connection was obtainable on the old router using your guide.
...now i cant connect over wifi or even using webgui. I can only use lightburn which sucks because I just bought a camera and now can connect wirelessly to the laser, so its basically useless.I just need to reset firmware to defaults so I can change the wifi settings to work again and get this camera going.
Edit: my laser is actually an Enjoywood but it has the same board as the atomstack as verified by opening the case (and your guide initially worked)
    Thanks

Hmmm. It doesn't work on my Atomstack A20 Pro. I've changed all the settings and I can see that they are changed by typing $s in the console. However, when I reboot the machine, it doesn't connect to my router. In the admin panel of the router, it doesn't show up and I can't connect to it in Chrome. Have a missed something.. I don't think so. Any ideas would help please

Just double and triple check the SSID and password are correct. There was another guy that had issues but he said he finally got it.
