Thanks for this video. It was great. I am just setting up my very first laser cutter and found this very helpful.
Very helpful video. Thanks for taking the time to do this and your other helpful tips on Brilliance and tempera paints.
Thank you for the information! Exactly what I needed.
This is magnificent. Everything works as you described on CZcams.
Until now I had a problem, you helped me to solve it.
Thank you very much.

Great video. Thanks for posting.
TKS for sharing. Very helpful
This is gold bruh!
Great video! Took me forever in searches to find it though.
Having some serious buyer's remorse with this thing.
1. With the Atomstack app, it tells me my file name is duplicate and won't upload no matter which number I slap in there.
2. Doing it this way, it tells me that no sd card was selected. I am on week 2 with projects piling up. I'm about to pull my hair out. Wish u were around the corner. 😂😂😂
thank you for showing this, well not exactly the way I thought it would work, guess I will be buying an extra long usb cord , I am not going to take the pc out every time I want to burn, I thought I saw a video on youtube where the guy was working LB on the pc and connected to the unit, thanks again and great video, was so easy to understand what you were saying and doing.
Thank you for the nice comment.
@@737mechanic I have drilled a hole in the wall and used a 7 metre USB cable to reach from the PC to the laser, 10M USB is too long it doesn't work but even my 7 metres is critical and sometimes the connection is lost while working and the laser stops and I can throw the material I have started in the bin and that is why I want a WIFI connection
Thanks for the video
where did you bring up the grblesp(AP mode) window
Do you know how I can change the language on the screen controller? Mine It’s in Chinese
Hi. I new to this and just assemble my engraver A20 pro like yours. Using the Lasergrble how do I input a com port? thanks
New to laser engraving/cut and Lightburn. Shew, I thought I was computer literate, but this is throwing me off for sure. I will definitely do this in the video. Thank you. Can you tell me what speed/power I would use to cut 15mil mdf board?
I haven't cut MDF yet but I would try 95 or 100 percent power at 50 to 200mm/min and if you get charring or burning at the slower speed crank it up to the higher speed. You may have to make multiple passes. MDF is kind of dense so I do not know how it is going to cut.
Thanks for that informative video. I have always wondered how that was set up as I found no info in the Atomstack booklets. The only thing I didn’t get was you had already made a shortcut on your desktop…Shortcut, to what?
The shortcut is to the ip address of the atomstack, so instead of opening a browser and typing in the ip address I simply click the shortcut and the browser opens and connects.
Does this use an iPhone app for ease of quick projects?
Yes they have an android app and iPhone app.
It would be better to connect it to Lightburn through wifi-to-virtual serial port emulator. Atomstack listens port 8080 for Telnet. I used FluidNC as webUI interface and managed to set Atomstack's controller ESP3D to Client mode for wi-fi and showed him my home Wi-fi network and password. My home router connected to him and gave him IP over DHCP. I made the router to link local IP and MAC addresses of Atomstack to make it static, so I have no need to switch Wi-fi nets now to connect laser, as I always know its constant IP in ethernet. Tnen I used Tibbo VSP manager on my home comp to create a virtual COM-port and linked it to Atom's known IP and 8080 port (you may specify a hostname also). Then I started Lightburn and set it to a new generated port. It works perfectly, as if it was connected by USB!
Hopefully, Lightburn will add a feature so you can connect it through WiFi.
@@737mechanic I've already connected it to my home network WiFi, but it took me half a day to figure out how to do it )) Because there is no decent manual or explanation from vendor. And users need to browse GitHub for their WebUI and Firmware! Not so user-friendly...
Hi @Vladimirization I was looking at giving it a go with FluidNC as well. Is it possible to use that without updating the firmware? And where did you get an installable version from? Anything you can tell me would be very helpful 🙂👍
Hey @Vladimirization, what are your settings in Tibbo VSP? mine usually stops in the middle of a job.
@JUAN ARAUJO I have this issue too, but randomly. It seems that Enable DTR signal in Lightburn's Device settings with transfer mode Synchronous helps. I also have Onthefly commands disabled, connection mode immediately and flow control Hardware in Tibbo. Sometimes it can burn more than an hour without errors, but sometimes it fails with transmit error.
Hi Great video.
I have just assembled my X20 today but now I need to connect to the engraver via Wi-Fi like you have. My desktop PC does not have Wi-Fi so can you suggest a USB adapter that would be suitable? Thanks
The one I used is linked in the description. It is a TP Link and works great.
@@737mechanic Thankyou. I have ordered an adapter just waiting for it to arrive and then figure out how to make it all work 😀
@@brucebywater I just posted another video on how to change the settings so it puts the laser in station mode instead of AP mode that way as soon as you turn it on it will connect to your wifi and you can control it.

I just can't win with this, I did what you showed and said, then soon as it went to the 198. it popped up missing a file, and I found the file but it does not dowwnload to where it needs to go or just does not download, is the missing file suppose to goe into windows system or does it go to the 198.162 program???
No that file is in the machine. Others have had this same problem and I have sent them the file from my machine and they say it fixed their issue. If you want my file email me at mechanic737@hotmail.com
obviously i dont have that shortcut on my desktop , can you elaborate on that link please? What is this ESP3D??
I explain how to get that ip address "Link" in the video. The ESP3D is the built in interface that is on the controller that you are logging into to access the controls.
@@737mechanic I FOUND IT FIANLY,, also,, do you have to have a TF card reader, if you are using wifi isnt that the reason you want wife so you dont need a tf card?? I wish to print directly from my computer wihout uploading to the engraver,, is this do-able?
Hey , i purchased a extension kit for my atom stack s20 pro, i had to install a new longer wiring harness so it will work with the new extension kit . the new harness was marked really well on where to place the wire connectors in the on and off power box, but there's one single black wire , that comes out of the back of the power button , and it came out of it's place , and i can see where it goes, but there's 2 places where it can be connected, one place say's 5v and the other is 12v , anyone have an idea which one it connects to ?? i don't want to ruin my new atom stack.
hi
i got the same problem .
did You found a solution?
How did you get your wifi to even be on, on the laser? My wifi signal for the laser doesnt show on any of my devices.
It should be on by default. This video may help czcams.com/video/BvElFxh4o1k/video.html
Thanks for the video I feel there’s a missing point here how did you made that short cut to put ip address? I did download the software and found the ip address but still don’t know where to go from there . Appreciate your efforts.
The ip address you put in the address field in the browser. If you use Chrome, you can click the upper right-hand 3 dots, go to more tools, and click create shortcut.
Thanks a lot it worked 😊
Now I have another problem I can’t see my files through this app however I can see my files if I use the grbl software what I’m doing wrong?
Tried the email for the system information for the tf/sd card. It didn't work. Where can I email to get the file? My time is running out & gray hair is coming in it's place. I don't want to keep it past the return date, but...I noticed a chrome logo. I was told it only works with windows. Is that not the case?
email me at mechanic737@hotmail.com
Hum, I could copy the address, but not paste it to the desktop as you did. The paste option was not active?? Suggestions?
Even if you have to manually type it in. Right click on the desktop and select new shortcut then type in the ip address.
Cool. Thanks for that :) @@737mechanic
After connting to it, it says index.html.gz is missing. were can I find please
Can you find it?
I mean where did you get that from
Once connected you simply type in the IP address and the built-in UI comes up in your browser.
After connting to it, it says index.html.gz is missing. I found one online, but it is not the user interface you are using. It works with mine, but it is obviously not designed for laser cutting, but for other devices. Could you let me know, where you found yours?
I never had a problem with mine, when I log into my atomstack it loads in the browser with no problem. I would suggest you try using Chrome to see if that makes a difference.
I have the same problem as you. Currently in the process of figuring out how to get hold on the required files.
@@737mechanic In your video you show the WebUI update button. There is the "index.html.gz" listed.
Maybe you can download it from there and make it available to us?
@@737mechanic There is also the possibility to connect the engraver directly to your existing WIFI. So you don't have to switch networks on your PC anymore.
@@NoFutureKid My flyingbear laserman engraver is like that. It is much nicer.

Hello, Why can my iPhone and iPad see the wifi signal from the Atomstack but my PC can't?
Hello.
I've just send the email to you regarding the file. Thank you!
Que archivo ESP32 debo de descargar para poder hacer la conexion. Si puedes poner un enlace de descarga te lo agradecería. Un saludo
If you have an Atomstack you should already have the required software installed to be able to connect. Also, see my latest video. czcams.com/video/BvElFxh4o1k/video.html

Everyone can connect Atomstack to the PC via Wifi but I can't and Atomstack support says it doesn't work, only on smartphone app, how do you do it ?
You should be able to do it the same way I showed in this video.
@@737mechanic Can i use any USB wifi adapter or which one did you use?
@@samsesam3486 Any should work but this is the one I have.

@@737mechanic Ok thank you very much I have now ordered the exact same USB wifi adapter and in two days I will have it, I will let you know if it works
So, I have used the same USB wifi adapter, I have also tried it on another computer, I have also tried it with a Raspberry Pi and everywhere the same result, I can ping it but in the browser the message "This URI does not exist" Maybe we don't have the same Atomstack controller, my controller is an Atomstack AIC1 BUT without a reset button.
why can you see the wifi signal from the engraver and I can't, I can see all the wifi signals in my area but my pc can't, my iPad and Samsung phone can see the wifi from the engraver, my wifi card is not that old, it's an ASUS PCE-AC56
If you can see it with other devices but not your PC I have no idea what would cause that.
@@737mechanic Atomstack support has replied, with the A40 Pro I can only connect to the smartphone wirelessly but not to the home network
I thought you had found a way to connect it to your home WiFi network. OK Thanks
No that would be nice as long as lightburn would be able to connect to it.
@zakspop: There is a way... see my other comment.
It is an indictment of Atomstack that in this day and age they build a machine that has no LAN and no WLAN, USB is unreliable. And why can you connect to a smartphone but not to a computer? This is very incomprehensible to me
Most laser engravers are like this because they use the same or similar control boards. The only one I have seen that will directly connect to your wifi and let you access its features is the flying bear which is an inexpensive laser engraver.
@@737mechanic That's a shame because nowadays it's standard to connect via Ethernet and Wi-Fi, every printer has an RJ45 port and my HP can also use Wi-Fi. The Atomstack app is unusable and the support leaves a lot to be desired. It's a pity I didn't inform myself better, otherwise I would definitely have bought a different product.
It’s asking me a password and I don’t know what is the password. Why is there one in the first place?

I get annoyed with these tutorials. I gave up. Two minutes into the video. No information conveyed. Speed it up. Time is precious.
If you don't have 9 min to learn how to do something then maybe learning isn't for you and you should spend the time I did to figure this out on my own. Anyway, you are welcome for the time I spent making this video and putting it up so you don't have to spend the time I did instead you get to watch a 9 min video and follow simple instructions and you can be one step closer to learning all you need to operate a laser engraver.
@@737mechanic I need 1-2mins, not 9. I applaud effort, not your editing.
@@poopoppy The problem is trying to explain it so everyone can understand it can NOT be done in 1 to 2 min.
@@737mechanic You are a smaller youtuber, that is trying to help folks. It's a little unfair of me to be overly critical. I apologise ok. At least my complaining in the comment section helps the algorithm :D
I tried this on my S20 pro and get a message saying a file is missing. File is File index.html.gz. Any thoughts on to fix this?
