  • Comparing MirraViz UltraBright screen with a Fresnel screen. The Fresnel screen is generic and is the same screen you can expect from all large manufacturers who make Fresnel screens.

    The Fresnel is only best viewable from centre and a little lower but your camera is positioned far right of the ALR which has a wide viewing angle, so a little unfair video comparison, but thanks for this video as I had FOMO once I discovered Fresnel. I'll be getting ALR from your advice.

    Really wish I had the ability to view this screen in person. I’d probably purchase one on the spot if it looks as good as they do on video.

    Unfortunately, I can see a black line in the middle of the Fresnel surface (right side)!

    Can you screenshot replace or be close to a video wall? What is the biggest size screen you can make?

    I'd love to mount it on a fixed frame. How did you do it with the Mirraviz screen on that cart?

    Wow, the color and brightness is amazing in such a bright room. But I can see little squares in some scenes in mirraviz, which can also be distracting. I agree the fresnel looks like junk compared to yours but what are you going to do about those squares underneath being visible?

      Thank you! The obviousness of those tiles has been reduced moderately in versions since the one that we are using for testing here, and it's hard to make them out when you're watching normal content like movies. But, if you're inspecting the screen from a close distance, you can still make them out. In around 6 months, we will be able to completely eliminate those tiles. In the meantime we encourage early supporters of our technology to look past that and experience the much higher brightness and picture quality that we still currently offer. We will provide significantly reduced cost upgrades to those supporters with the improved future versions.

      @@MirraViz Are these tiles images of the magnet panels?

    • @MirraViz
      @MirraViz  Před rokem

      @@experttreppenlifte8196 The tiles are a result of our manufacturing process. We 'stitch' a bunch of tiles of our screen material together to assemble our screen. Since recording this video, we've reduced those tile markings a lot, but if you look hard enough you can still see them.

      @@MirraViz What's the status on fixing this "tile" issue and the ungodly seam in the center? Also what's the approximate waittime for delivery currently?

    Not a fair test as fresnel screens need a projector pointing straight at it and is not meant to be used for ultra short throw projector. They know that is why their screen looks good

    Dude, we can all see the the fold lines in your screen. You didn't even bother to iron it out to make it look professional! It does look good, but anything above a 1.0 gain usually does ( and your screen is a 2.0 ). It is shot with your screen in total line of sight, giving it the advantage as you probably know the fresnal has an off angle darkness after 40 degrees ( which makes your comparison unfair and inaccurate). You did not show any footage of black levels vs white levels either. You need to redo this video.
