    Thanks for the video! I read somewhere that it's not possible to swap out the handlebars. I really want the low handlebars for now, how I currently bike, but I'm 60 and planning to use my $3000 bike for a long time. At some point the low bars will be challenging. Maybe I should get the mid to start with? Or can I change it out?

    • @CurbsideCycle
      @CurbsideCycle  Před 2 lety +5

      Hi there! The mid and low bars are swapped easily. It's the high bar that's a pain in the butt because you have to get an entirely new stem which adds a bit of labor and cost.

    How much is it for the Canadian market ?

    Watched a couple of your videos which moved me to ask why they cannot convert their existing bikes to electric if all they need to is change the front wheel and add a cable and switch..?
    I own a Black edition which is from 2018 and has a 6 speed gearing range.
    I work in an arid sweaty region and have to travel up and down hills. I tweaked the bike to get it to under 11 kilos but I would to upgrade.
    Would it be possible?
    Keep those videos coming please, especially one on the battery pack!

    • @CurbsideCycle
      @CurbsideCycle  Před rokem +1

      The frame and fork are actually reenforced due to the pulling power of the motor. Otherwise, Brompton probably would have made a conversion kit for bike shops to install on existing standard Bromptons. You would have to purchase a Brompton Electric specific bike to get the motorized version.

    I tried a S P line and then a 2021 M3L: well, I didn't noticed a significant riding difference (except the noise but it is irrelevant). P line looks better but is a thousand euro more expensive. I prefer a bike with a cassette (and an easy way to remove the wheels) but I feel like I will be so careful that I won't ride the P line so much.

      Ride ride ride. I've put over 4,000 Miles on my P Line already. And it's a dream to ride. I can break 20mph on it quite easily with my Schwalbe Ones on it. It climbs like a boss too. And of course iit folds like a work of art. The best bike for the money on planet earth.

    love the P line thou the T line is out too . Just saw the intro video was wondering if 7.95KG -T Line necessary ?if its too light , will think twice when i want to go fast . Any comments ?

    • @bungee28
      @bungee28 Před 2 lety

      7.95kg isn't too light. I've an upgraded M2LX at that weight and it doesn't feel rickety when going fast. The wheelset and tyres also play a part. The chubby Schwalbe One tyres (found on the P Line) is great for being light-weight while still providing good traction and ride comfort.

    I love this bike; it is easy to use, very compact czcams.com/users/postUgkxwC0IIeIomGQVeBWg-kKJaToZkLEFIA2W and it is just as described. It is a bit heavy, but at 35 lbs it is expected. I ride this bike over curbs, on rocky roads, hills, and trails with no problem. The assembling pieces got loose and it takes certain positioning for it to tighten up. Otherwise, I equipped it with proper lighting and mirror (which broke off), it's good to go. After riding a few hills, I was wondering if I could modify the bike to have bigger wheels, which I discovered it couldn't, that's fine. I just wish there were bigger wheels. I would totally recommend this bike to anyone whom is not a serious rider and want something compact and fun. I'm using this bike to train for an Iron Girl Triathlon. It gets tough, but it is doable.

    Forgot to mention the the P swaps valves from the loved schrader/car valve to the hated presta valve.

    • @OjStudios
      @OjStudios Před 2 lety

      Wheels are different so that's why. I've drilled multiple valveholes to 8mm for Schrader with no problem. Brompton might not like that but.. well.

    • @AdamHouston
      @AdamHouston Před 2 lety +2

      For me, the swap to Presta valves was something I’ve been waiting for. I’ve never understood the love that Schraeders get.

      @Rob-cv3vh Před 2 lety

      My P line came with Schrader valves. I can fit presta tubes if I want to.

    Do the pedals collapse?

    • @CurbsideCycle
      @CurbsideCycle  Před 2 lety +1

      The non drive-side pedal does indeed collapse.
      No need for the driveside to collapse as it does not protrude any further out than the front wheel when folded.

  • @ronedwards8239
    @ronedwards8239 Před 2 lety

    What many don’t know is due to the design, small 🛞. Take a long trip compared to a full size bike and you will arrive a lot later and miss lunch!
