I’m so glad I watched this interview as a physician. I feel the same way about Medicine, it shouldn’t define me, and I love studying and engaging in other activities. Union is one of the things that brought me to islam but disunion and misogyny I see at masjids is really disheartening. I focus on prophet Muhammad SAW and try to figure how I can improve my own community. Everything, as you said, is in the Quran and Sunnah. It’s crazy here in Brazil, so many social injustices afflicting Brazilians in all aspects of their lives and still we get so many refugees from Latin America, Africa and Middle East. Your talk was quite inspiring and educational.
