In general, the TI units are faster in response to inputs. This is seen when quickly switching between sonar, downscan, chart, and split screens czcams.com/users/postUgkxeAxH15LxhjGlg5-CRYqjTGTEH0tbY4vk recommend The Hook units will show some lag on button pushes and screen switching. The big ticket item though is maps. If you install a mapping card such as Navionics or the free C-Map Genesis which has a lot of map detail, then moving around the map with the cursor or when running down the lake can lag significantly on the Hook units, but is seamless with the TI units.

I have hook reveal tripleshot too. But it is True that tripleshot only is good to use in depth of 10m

i have a hook2 7ts tripleshot. On 2d sonar the whole screen is orange and downscan is all grey. What is wrong?

I am not really sure you are asking. Tho i do have a full training course for that unit. www.udemy.com/course/lowrance-hook2-training/?referralCode=E89810577286E3CC24F3 It has over 7 hours of training just like this one, however I remade the sonar and structure videos so they are not so dark.
Have you had any problems or issues with this fish finder? I’m thinking about getting one but it seems to have a lot of bad reviews???
If I were to make a suggestion, I would recommend getting the Hook reveal instead of the Hook2. It's quite a bit more reliable and it's performance is significantly better.
IS THERE A VIDEO SHOWING HOW TO MARK WAYPOINTS WHILE IN DOWNSCAN
I'm not sure If I cover that in my downscan video or not but all you have to do is press one of your Arrow buttons which will bring up the cross hairs on your screen and then you can move them to wherever you want to place the waypoint and then press your enter button to create a waypoint on that spot. It will then carry over to your chart screen.
Is there a Lowrance program or something I can use to put tracks and waypoints on a SD card and then transfer them to my Hook2?
I have a lowrance hook2-5 with maps purchased as a ice fishing bundle. Would like to install on boat in summer + wondering if a triple shot transducer will work with this unit to provide side scan. I see that the lower priced 2-5x model has this capability but no maps. Would love to have both!

It just depends which model you have. If the unit has HDI on it or is listed as a splitshot, it will not be able to use the tripleshot transducer. Only the tripleshot displays that say TS on them can use it unfortunately.
Hi, is there big difference in imaging quality between TripleShot transducer (Hook2) and Active Imaging 3-in-1 (Elite Ti2)? Thanks!
Yes. The Hook2 is a 250w output and the 3n1 with TI2 if a 500w output so the image quality will be a lot better.
We order the lowrance hook 2 it has a place for sd card but we didn't get one wit our order do you need the card to get started when we pluged it in all we could get was hook2 screen
No it doesn't require an SD card to make it work. Which model of the Hook2 did you buy specifically?
Does changing depth and sensitivity change both the 2d and DS or are those independent of each other? I like running more depth on 2d so it can show hard bottom vs auto. Thanks for the video.
No those run independent of one another. Downscan doesnt have a sensitivity setting to it. It operates differently.Tho you can set different depth ranges if you are running a split screen of sonar and DS.
I have 5 different boats that I fish out of ranging from 10 to 24ft. Do you sell a fish finder that is portable enough to move from boat to boat?
Well.. technically any fishfinder could move from one boat to another. Thing is that you would need to mount a power cable, transducer, and mounting bracket to each boat u want to move it back and forth from. Then all u have to do is pop the unit off and take it with you. The Elite-7 TI2 comes with and uses a quick release bracket that's pretty easy to use. U just kind of lift up on the back of the display and it pops right off. However, all the other units have knobs that screw in on each side to hold it to the bracket and are really easy to remove as well.
@@nightanddaymarine8823 I'll check it out, thanks. I currently have a portable finder that has a self contained battery and a suction cup on the transducer that i just stick on the back of the transom. It just doesnt have any of the newer functionally.

@@fishingwithcamo-joe88 it depends on which unit you have. If it's the Hook2 combo unit with mapping then it does have a card slot. But if it's a Hook2x splitshot then it does not have one.

Good video, but it reminds me of how horrible Lowrance is (image quality etc.) compared to Humminbird, good grief!
I agree the image quality isn't all that great on the Hook2s but they are the entry level, low power units. The Elite TI and HDS have significantly better image quality due to their much higher output power. You basically get what you pay for with Lowrance. They strategically make them that way.

Lowrance has the worst costumer service of any of the units on the market please consider this before you buy
Yep they suck that's one of the reasons I'll never but another lowrance anything been there done that! get a garmin or bird
