AMD is now releasing the RX 7900 GRE everywhere at $550. Performance is quite good. They are also announcing the next generation of Ryzen CPUs at Computex 2024 in early June.
Nvidia finally fixed their GPUs by making NEW driver software called the "Nvidia APP" and it's great. AMD GPUs can now use CUDA through a neat translation thing, which solves one major disadvantage with their GPUs. Microsoft may be introducing their very own AI Upscaler which could help mitigate the differences between the GPU brands as well. Though, there is interpretation that this may only be talking about a way Microsoft could make it easier to implement upscalers through DirectX.
Sons of the Forest got FSR 3 Frame Gen. Elden Ring DLC. XBOX is going wild. PlayStation VR 2 on PC. Nintendo Switch 2. Insane OLED Gaming Monitors. Whoa

1. Unfortunately, Sons of the Forest doesn’t actually have frame generation, just FSR 3 upscaling. My bad there. I assumed too much there.
2. Next gen Ryzen CPUs will most likely be called 9000
When is this l*ser adding GPU power draw to his AMD GPUs in the Nvidia vs AMD videos that he does?
Nvidia fixed their GPUs? Surely you meant AMD, right? Vex is the biggest shi!! on youtube isnt he.
have you looked at lossless scaling?

All of these CZcamsrs do that. I’m surprised you’re just noticing this.

Still have my CRT monitor , What's OLED ?
as a 42C2 user, YES, oled is a peak of gaming and movie bluray watching on PC
Bought my IPS 1440p 8 years ago for ~$500. It's 60 Hz SDR, as the high refresh rate displays, and HDR waren't really a thing back then, but has really good color reproduction. Gonna wait till the burn-in issue is solved on OLEDs and for the prices to get down before by one so it can last me for decade or so...
burn in isn't that common
Go ahead and get one now I've had an 2021 lg oled for 3 years screen has been rock solid. Had an oled in 2016 and got burn in from muzzle flash in less than a week
Bro just buy one you might be dead before then lol
@@11Wario good to know, thx! Now just need to wait for the prices to come down. The cheapest 1440p OLEDs are now ~$800 where I live, and those nice QD OLEDs - over $1k
@@cademckenna863 I thought the same but a couple weeks ago I noticed my Iphone 13pro max has significant burn in after two years of use. (less than 50% brightness, on a greybackground) I wonder if I got a bad panel, or if I just used it so much that any oled panel would be burnt in a bit. Regardless, that didn't stop me from ordering a LG C3 as my new primary computer monitor. It's the best computer purchase I've ever made, love it.
Great news round-up! Subscribed!
Used a LG c2 42” as a monitor for a while.
At least 10 hours a day for work more if I game.
No burn in, run the same windows in the same place.
Is it worth it? I’m never going back. Colours, response time and accuracy is insane.
Got a C3 for my pc on Black Friday. Absolutely agree with you. OLED panel looks incredible. Didn’t know screens and gaming could look this good. Never going back.
I’m mainly single player with casual multiplayer games like COD, Battlefront, Battlefield, so 120hz is all I ever need. Native 4k gaming is truly next gen
agreed, also don't worry about burn in. I just checked, I'm at just shy of 5000 on time hours with no burn in. @@ldope3904
I've been entertaining the option, but paying a grand and downgrading to 120Hz just don't sit right with me. Waiting for 42" 4k240Hz OLED under 1k€, that's where I'm pulling the trigger.
depends on what you use it for, 120hz on OLED due to pixel response has more real world clarity and smoothness than any IPS/VA panel I've used including my previous 240hz.
If I was a competitive FPS player than I would probably stay on 240hz.
Reality is we are a long way of 4K 240hz due to limitations of needing a standard that would support 8K 120hz. HDMI 2.1 is limited to 8K60 or 4K120 at the moment. @@SaltyMaud
also got my C2 for £550 almost 18 months ago, loads going cheap
AMD is often characterized as playing catch-up with nVidia, but on the software UI end it's absolutely the other way around. The adrenaline software is just stellar, nVidia has a lot of catching up to to do.
"Look at what they need to do to only mimic a fraction of our power"
combined the to in 1 interface for NVidia ... great but what about all the crap that comes out with every driver that comes out ? did they fix that too ? like in having stable up to date curent Driver too ?
Would love an OLED Monitor but atm they are just way way out of my price range.
Also i feel now with my RTX 3070 i need to stick with 1080p monitor until i can upgrade.
I would love an OLED monitor as well and I have an rtx 3060 ti! I guess we have a similar budget and I can say unless there is a 400-500 oled monitor I can't afford 😢
I'm using a 1440p 144hz monitor with my 2070 super. Your card can't be that bad.

I've tested zluda on my igpu the rx 660m, Using HIP it took 2 minutes 20 seconds to finish the blender render. Using Zluda, shaved 30 seconds off the render time, not bad in my opinion. There was an issue where the scene would not render in real time but Zluda is impressive for what it is.

Not just you, i have a lighting internet connection, however, i started facing the same problem with Nvidia in recent days. The problem is from the software itself.
Nvidia doesn't have software/driver issues... Oh wait.
haha yeah i remember having nvidia, i had forgotten but so often i would have an issue of logging in, it wouldnt work half the time, so i couldnt update drivers..
@@user-wq9mw2xz3j i solved it by installing GeForce again, or downloading the driver manually from Nvidia's website. (But the problem of logging in is still happening, but I don't care for it, i just open it when there is a new driver, and the time between a driver and a newer one is around 1 to 2 months in general). 🤷🏻♂️
I think I had the same issue years ago, solved it by uninstalling that bloatware of a software
yeah same it's def not an internet issue it's just a shitty app
Im happy with my 4080 super. Moved from my broken gtx1080 and seriously a very big jump. I need to vsync to 60 fps tho otherwise high fps and high consumption (yes for now undervolted it and keep fps to 60 until this crazy power bills return to normal) even at 4K ultra. And no Im not ngreedia fanboy, I had to choose this or nitro+ 7900xtx but power consumption is bad.
From what I can tell the new Nvidia App still doesn't have overclocking options so it's still useless.
And will never have. 😄
most people download msi afterburner either way lol and if your gonna argue not most people. Everyone that want to overclock will download msi afterburner either way lol
I had an AMD gpu at some point and the overclock in the app just didn't work well so I had to install afterburner. It's what everyone does anyway.
They don't want you overclocking, it ruins their planned obsolescence
Overclocking itself useless. Even when you can gain something like 20% free performance from it.
Control panel ui is goated, no bs just straight to the point. I hope they never change it up with BS ui you see in pretty much every software now
true same here
I agree, one of the main reasons I love it is because of how low profile it is, I leave it running in the background if in playing a dark game like tarkov so I can crank brightness or turn it down with a quick alt tab. I don't need some stupid "gamer" ui to hog up system resources.
Imagine this is 28 mins long podcast and I am wanting for more lol
Can someone explain the difference between Direct Super Resolution, DSR, and TSR???
I had the same problem with internet connection failing during log in.
I plugged in a wifi dongle and bypassed the ethernet and it worked.
can we get test of the new Nvidia App vs old Control Panel&Experience, best on GPUs of each family, 1080Ti, 2080Ti, 3080Ti ect
I have tried AIO cpu coolers, I will be using air from here on out. I have Noctua in most of my computers, but there are some other solid options.
Living in a country where temperatures are, on average, high 80s and very often over a 100 and not using air con 54/7 I do use watercooling in my builds and,so far (used them in 5 or so computers by now) , no complaints. Temperatures of my CPU stay in check.
I never watercooled my GPUs so far tho or felt the need to do so.
IPS Black is making it's way to more monitors and I have one and it's pretty compelling
I use my LG C3 42 inch OLED as a monitor and I upgraded from the LGCX 48 inch I still absolutely love the TV as a monitor the 42 inch size is much better. I would recommend it as long as you’re willing to take the time to set it up properly to use it with a pc
love ur content and info
@ Vex
Can you show your RIG setup in a video?
Tried the Nvidia beta app, you do have to login, and the control panel still is a separate app.
For now. NVIDIA is finally going to retire their control panel once the NVIDIA App leaves beta and fully releases.
Been rocking an LG CX 55" since 2021 and the difference is night and day. I run a hidden start bar, dark mode windows and chrome, have the sleep function set to turn screen off after 60 seconds, and the pixel refresher on every time I turn it off. No burn in.
Your tv oled brightness is at what?
Its been proven that oleds don't burn in like people say. Especially not after just 3 years.
Current OLED monitor + TV will have refresher, scheduler update anyway. Burn in is least problem to worry. Price it is, still happy with my AW3423DWF
My next monitor is gonna be the 4k240hz/1080p 480hz dual mode OLED. That thing is endgame.
I bought my Samsung neo G8 OLED a month ago and it’s gorgeous. The colors make gaming with the curved screen so much more immersive
I've used an LG OLED for almost almost 5yrs as a daily driver for my PC and "Burn-in" isn't an issue (not for me at least) I feel like burn-in was probably a thing on release but they've done some magic since then. Love your videos btw. You get more in depth than any of these bigger tech channels and I appreciate that.
6:25 dns benchmarking can help maybe, build a custom list first then grab a public dns list for our country and yeah. Then you have the Chris Titus winutil, it has a tweak that "fixes" some ipv4/6 tunneling issue (teredo) stuff
My 65 inch lg65g1 120hz oled cost me 700 quid (2500 quid normally) was the best option 2 years ago when I got it and still no burn in issues, no other screen needed so for the money I think I did well.
oled panels could work at that price with long warranty like samsung ssd where if when it gets burn out the manufacturer will replace it for free
I've been using an LG OLED 4k 120hz 48'' screen for at least 12 hours every single day for about 18 months now. I was nervous about burn in at first, yet I have had absolutely no issues so far. LG have implemented a lot of tools to try and prevent that kind of problem. To me it was definitely worth it, the image quality is absolutely superb.
Wait did they cut their prices in half or something?
I haven't played elden ring either. I still have to finish so many games on my steam before I play anything else. I bought an OLED monitor for my new pc build, and there's no way I can go back. There are times that I will just look at it and be like "damn thats pretty". The one I have has it to prevent screen burn in, by having the image on the screen move every other minute.
When is the app releasing?
In beta right now. I don’t think there’s an official release date. Probably just when it’s ready, especially with the feedback from this
What clickbait lol they improved control panel and it was not even problem unless someone care about control panel design, launch it daily and spent hours in it.
7900 GRE looks really good for 1440p with 16GB (if you're not into the ray tracing so much).
It'd be nice if 9000 series AM5 chips could have a slightly thinner top cover, especially the silver layer (they might have to adjust for height in other ways though). A lapped 7000 series with a slight undervolt gets fantastic gains on thermals. If people could avoid lapping by hand, that'd be great though.
I have the Arctic Liquid Freeer II 360 and i am quiet Impressed with the Performance
QD-OLED monitors currently only have perfect blacks in completely dark rooms. In rooms with ambient light they can have worse black levels than an LCD (VA) panel. W-OLED does not suffer from this issue.
The problem is not so much gk performance but the price
I have an OLED monitor, and it does make a huge difference. The depth of color is so rich!
1 big drawback is that they're highly reflective. So don't keep it in direct sunlight.
Ive never used Geforce experience, always updated GPU but I was still using nvidia old school control panel because it always worked how it should.
1500 cuda cores? aint that like a GTX 1050 mobile?
I wish the nvidia control panel let you change every setting the gpu is capable of.
its useless since people prefer msi afterburner eitherway
@@kev1310the only issue I have with Afterburner is it takes a bit of learning to use and overclocking/undervolting are not as easy as with AMD where you can just move a slider. With Nvidia you now have to mess about with voltage curves and it's fiddly.
Honestly I'd be interested to see how overclocking the vram would affect its performance.
On the stock model only 3% VRAM overclock. I hear the AIB models perform better.
24:17 that's why i prefer mini led monitors
has everything that make oled special like real black level and better hdr with mini led and there is no burn in !!
I followed some video online on how to improve the temps on amd cpus by using the PBO setting and setting a power limit.I kept the same the same performance(perhaps a negligible -1%) and reduced my temps by 20c on my 7700x. From 95c to 75c at max loads while keeping the same performance. If you have ryzen 7000 make sure to give that a try.
I have a 7700x system using PBO and temps never go over 70.. your AIO / cooler isn't seated correctly or too little / too much thermal paste.
@@Haggy836 yeah could be, i use the 360mm kraken that i used for my previous cpu lga 1151, and it doesnt support am5 officially, so it might be not seated properly but tbh 75c isnt a temp im uncomfortable with since thats when stressing with cinebench and aida64. Usually it doest go abobe 65-68 and that AIO was fking expensive so i dont have any plans on changing it before it dies.
If amd said 95c was fine for 7000 series i doubt 75c is going to be a problem hahaha
I'm air gang but honestly the freezer III bang for buck looks pretty amazing. If putting one in my case wouldn't be such a pita I'd get one just to test it out. I have 2 other arctic air coolers and for the price they are both great. As for oled not quite there for me yet personally (I do more productivity stuff than gaming) but I'm hoping a couple more years will being the prices down and make them better all around monitors.
I was team air, but now I use AIOs in 80% of my builds. Air would be very useful for builds you really want to touch and forget, like maybe servers.. I also have spare parts on hand should I run into issues, but I've never so far.
I will admit even though I use air coolers. What I hate is getting a slender metal ruler coated in taped paper towels, to remove my gpu. Because my air cooler makes it impsossible to use my finger to push the pcie clip button.
I have a gigabyte b650 gaming x ax and deepcool ak620 zero dark cooling the 7800x3d and it seems to be doing fine
OLED is not an everyday monitor and still have issues like burns and text.

Went from 32" 1440p on VA panel 165hz, to 34" ultrawide IPS 3440x1440 144Hz. Panel quality and motion quality don't just change things a little...its an incredible upgrade getting a good monitor panel. I love my LG 34" UW, I'd have spent the $1300 for an OLED but I work from home more hours than I play games. For $750 the LG UW is the best of all worlds except HDR.
I recently upgraded to a LG C3 as my primary monitor for working and gaming on my PC. It is the best purchase I've ever made in computing. It's the best display I've ever seen in my life. 4k 42 inch 120hz 10 bit NATIVE oled with glossy finish (perfection) for less than 1000 dollars.
Same here but on a C1. Never going back. 3 years later and no issues or burn in. I force HDR in all my games using reshade and use real time wave form analysis in reshade to allow me to use to dial in HDR to perfection.
it was about time nvidia made their thing non sign in
i wonder how long it will stay in beta tho
GeForce Control Panel uses the WinXP UI :D
If you want to get in to VR, just get the HP Reverb G2
Honestly I hate adrenaline. I think GeForce Experience is so much better. I know you had problems with login but with that aside it's great imo
Keep in mind the steam deck can use Nvidia NIS and that's running a amd GPU.
i have the rog PG27AQDM, aka 1440p 240hz oled. it is the best thing i have ever looked at. movies, games, really just everything looks infintely better on an oled, and the downsides that some people describe such as issues with text sharpness, low brightness, etc. i have not had an issue with anything at all. 4K 240hz sure is overkill, though. Most setups can barely hit 240 at 2k
Built an all Amd pc around October. 7900xtx is insane. I have a PS5 and didn’t really feel it was much of a jump from ps4 pro. Only real next gen features imo were Dualsense & SSD, which I already upgraded my ps4 pro with… if anything I hate the UI and lack of themes/customization. Wanted to hold out for PS5 Pro but since Sony increased prices for PS+, I just decided PC.
I thought about getting a 4090 but don’t like feeling ripped off, so went 7900xtx and was able to get a brand new LG C3 for Black Friday, and still have a couple bucks left for around the same price of a 4090, before the china ban price gouging.
Native 4k/120hz on oled is truly next gen. Just wish I could get all the Dualsense features on PC
23:00 OLED burn-in? I’m old skool plasma and just worry
15:39 I recently started playing Elden Ring and apart from the fact that I am loving the game (it is extremely addictive), I REALLY would like the Fps to be stable 60fps (The game is limited to 60 like all From games), supposedly it has much less Fps Drops than at the beginning but at this point I would be more excited for a new patch that fix this before the Dlc.
I have to mention that the game works with Fsr but it didn't leave me good feelings.
You may be interested in trying the game just to see the performance and do some tests.
OLED is absolutely worth it! I use a 65 inch LG C2 as a monitor, all my games are 4k at 120 HZ (the TV's limit.). Talk about immersion! the tv has Nvidia Gsync, and numerous tricks that help prevent burn in. most have reported 0 issues after a year plus.
I think OLEDs look really nice however I leave my computer on for hours at a time on the same screen and I never been unsatisfied with LCD panels so I think I'll stick with LCD panels until they die. But even then I can probably get used lcd panels for pretty cheap since oled is gonna be the new standard
5:23 interesting cooler.
You test gpus and you dont use NVCleanstall for nvidia?
Why do you need bloat called experience?
24:01 i think oled could me good for esports and for people who need a good color representation because they are mostly more responsive and precise doesn’t mean that othere monitors arent
I got an OLED a few months back, it is a game changer. Never want to use an IPS or LCD display again. The colours are insane and the ms response time is a big advantage in games. The only problem with them is once you have one you will never want to use another display. I even want one for my second monitor that is just primarily for videos or discord when im doing something else lmao.
It's great but expensive and almost useless as an office monitor so if funds are not available, as it's better to use the money in other parts. I have an Oled TV, it's amazing, but I don't think I'll get an Oled monitor any time soon. Also, afraid of the burnins, especially if used on office work

the only reason why i don't use the app is the amount of processes it gives, it had like 12-15 processes so i just said nah....

OLED is 100% a game changer and 100% worth it. The burn in problems are more so a thing of the past, however it is still possible. I believe some warranties are beginning to cover burn in as well. Setting windows taskbar to autohide, using a black desktop background with no icons and letting the monitor go to sleep after a couple of minutes of inactivity help reduce those chances. I went with a 55" Sony a80k (4k 120hz OLED) for movies and console gaming but liked it so much that I have been using it as my PC monitor for the last year. If I were buying again and knew said display was going to be used as a PC monitor, I would opt for a 42".
I got a cheap LCD monitor more then 15 years ago and i was finally deciding on a new monitor. But honestly, in this whole time, i only got one pixel burned and that's it. I don't want to spend 5 times more on an OLED that will only last like a fraction of this low price monitor. It's ridicolous.
just got a artic freezer iii 420 and i have never heard such an annoying aio pump noise, its standing 1.5 meters/5 feet away behind a very large acoustic panel and still i hear the constant 1khz tone also shown in gamers nexus' video.
I dont know if there is a difference between the models but if you have sensitive ears (and i dont) just stay away from that otherwise decently performing cooler
ok so there is 2 cables that come with the cooler, one that splits up into 3 headers and one where it all comes together in a single header, turns out i had to use the single header otherwise the pump would run at full speed. now its all good! also the cable had to be routed towards the mobo for the vrm fan cover to seat itself properly.

Burn-in is more a thing of the past or on very cheap off-brand OLED panels like most portable displays. $600-800 OLED monitors from within the past few years are pretty resistant against burn-in, flagship smartphones are even further ahead. Fortunately, burn-in can be removed too if it's not too bad.
OLED monitors are the fastest I've used in terms of response time and motion blur mitigation. Text isn't as crisp at resolutions lower than 1440p though, but these panels are worth it for the vibrancy alone. For me SDR OLEDs pop more than most HDR LEDs.
New Ryzen is on my list
Nope, the Nvidia app replaces the GeForce Experience. At least, I don't see the GeForce Experience app since I installed the beta.
NVCP didn't need fixing... it just needed to be prettier...
"The dinosaurs were using this."
Me who grew up with the apps release.....
if your worried about burn in then do a two monitor setup. Buy a cheap 4K LCD monitor for your desktop/daily usage then keep the OLED panel turned off until you watch movies/TV or play games. No static images. No burn in. Simple. If you can afford 1400$ for a goddamn 4k OLED you can afford another ~400 for an cheap LCD panel to save it from burning in.
Great idea, spend another 400 bucks to NOT use your monitor which will still get burn in from your game's HUD. or do I have to play with no hud too? COOOOPPPPIIIIIUUUUUUUUMMMMM😂😂😂
@lous9464 stop being poor. Get out of your mothers basement and go get a job.
wait for the 7900 XT to come down further in price
OLED looks absolutely amazing. Our entire interface with pc is visual, it is certainly a game changer. Burn in is largely addressed with pixel shifting and auto dimming.
Both of which suck. I turned all that off on my LG C1 and not had any issues but then again I don't use it as my main monitor, just for movies and gaming.
imagine the tro combined microsot sr, frq and dlss xd 150% fps or +
if cuda will really work on amd in future i could finally pick a 6700xt or 6750xt instead of 3060ti or 4060ti
