These are great features. I have ADHD and get distracted easily (I have no control over it) ....good to know these features are available to everyone's safety.
I recently saw a young guy in a corolla mount a kerb and hit a tree, for no obvious reason. I suspect he has texting and didn't see the turn coming. I have dashcam footage of it. Scary

Don't drive if you know you are a dangerous driver, whether you have control over it or not.

Is there a work around on the rear turn lights? its so low and I think it can get easily covered by snow and mud.

Because there's still activity on this post I want to give an update. I decided to go for a 2023 outback, the functionality won over the design. I just get can't look past it. I say some comments whenever I drive and I see one on the road. "That design is so good but the engineer and the designer are on bad terms" or "after the designer finished its design the engineer asks "where should the tail turn signals go?" The designer then says "put it at the bottom 🤣". I'm in love with my outback now 😀

Most of this does NOT come with the Hyundai Tucson SE or SEL, you have to get the Limited which is MEGA expensive relative to the others

Yes it does. And you can set it OFF if you like in the settings. My N line saved itself from collision the ther day. I had no idea there was a car infront of me while in a roundabout. It immediately stopped itself

I have had a Tucson for twelve months. Really easy car to live with EXCEPT the cross traffic collision system. Imagine reversing out of a space or off your drive and other cars let you in or traffic is travelling in the lane you are NOT reversing into. The Tucson will apply the brakes and stop you reversing into the gap. This has happened to me numerous times and can't be easily turned off.
The only solution is to wave the cars on and wait for nothing to be travelling behind you. In my opinion this is a design fault.

That backseat alert system needs to be standard on every vehicle, for every car maker, everywhere just like seat belts are required...to many babies have died already....recently a baby died and the father committed suicide because he was so traumatized after finding his child. Every child that has died may have had a chance if this safety system was available. Shame.

It does but it has to be really close to collision for it to actually activate. It’s only happened once to me.
