  • Euro NCAP performs a series of crash and safety tests on car models:
    - a frontal impact test, 50% of the width of the car is striking an oncoming deformable barrier, also travelling at 50 km/h
    - a frontal impact test, the car impacts a rigid full width barrier
    - a side impact test, a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver's door and the robustness of the centre airbag is evaluated
    - a pole test, the tested car is propelled sideways into a rigid pole.
    A series of pedestrian tests are conducted with different impactors, adult and child head form, lower and upper leg form and whiplash tests are performed on a sled as well as AEB pedestrian and cyclist tests.
    Active safety is tested based on the car’s equipment: autonomous emergency braking car-to-car scenarios, occupant status monitoring (including seatbelt reminders), lane support and speed assistance technologies.

      Most cars do. Normal SRS Airbag is labeled on side on driver seat. I believe. I know my car has it. And a knee airbag under the steering wheel. All kinds of airbags.

    Un très bon véhicule ce Tucson, l'avertisseur de franchissement de ligne fonctionne très bien mais sur des routes pas forcément très large, il veut nous écarter du bord de la route, pas évident quand on croise un autre véhicule. Du coup, je le désactive à chaque redémarrage pour être plus tranquille.
    Pour l'avertisseur de collision, il fonctionne super bien. Il m'a évité deux fois de rentrer dans des véhicules, un dans un bouchon où je pensais qu'il allait avancer puisque devant lui, tout le monde avançaient donc, il a avancé mais a dû caller ensuite puisqu'il s'est arrêté. J'ai commencé à freiné mais le système avait déjà commencé pour moi. Et l'autre, en changeant de voie, le véhicule devant moi s'est mis à freiner fort d'un coup, je n'ai pas eu le temps de réagir, c'est la voiture qui a freiné pour moi et heureusement. C'est vraiment une très bonne technologie !

    • @Soche2006
      @Soche2006 Před 2 lety +20

      It is for the car, but the airbag intervened in time to protect the passenger.
      Almost all cars bend this bad on pole test. Maybe not the electric ones which have a more sturdy lower part due to batteries.
      Aniway, the stars are given based in average score. Maybe he did scored better by far one other tests and the avrege score was a pass for 5 stars.

    • @oktaviu8668
      @oktaviu8668 Před 2 lety +11

      It's not, it's actually on par with it's competitors. Only the electric cars perform better than that on the Side Pole Test, for obvious reasons (more rigid lower compartment)

      @@Soche2006 But will a $100K car be better at safety? Nope. Expensive cars focus on performance and luxury. My comment was because Hyundai is supposed to be good at safety, but seeing this video... I don't know.
