Awesome run Creeker! Had no idea you could just Hellbomb the command bunker from outside the walls, gonna use that from now on.
That Bot army was pretty scary too, seen it on quite a few maps, apparently the patrols get bugged and pathfind for the centre of the map.
Thank you! There are two base types that make it possible. One with a little rock outside the wall(the one from the video) and one with 2 chimneys( czcams.com/users/shorts001KlKh37YM ). The bomb itself has to be planted as close to the bunker as possible.
And yeah, 50 terminators stacked at one spot look pretty spooky xD

Patrols spawn when you complete primary objectives or destroy nests/outposts. They then head straight for your position at the time they spawned. If you're gone by the time they get there, and they don't otherwise encounter you, they will then head for the center of the map.

Imagine being a giant and highly advanced surveillance tower of unending death in which your comrades trust their lives on, and the last thing you see is a slightly smarter breed of monkey covered in rags that starts DS1-giant dad emoting you before you simply cease to exists.

I think it speaks to how well a stealth style gameplay can go :)
Despite being a coop-oriented game, its amazing how they fit a single-player style this well not by adjusting spawns or alerts depending on players but just by incorporating the following logic:
-When a gun is shot, they go to alert but not attack unless they see the diver.
-You can lose persuers after gaining distance and breaking line of sight
Also cool how time plays into all this, for a 4 person squad, you'd basically go guns blazing and spend all the time fighting through hordes of enemies being awarded more reinforcements for the head-on gameplay. While going solo spends time, going carefully, losing enemies, counting targets, picking off targets, at the cost of a safer-strategic playstyle that gives you less revives since you'd plan on avoiding fights anyway.
Yup, this game is literally the definition of a sandbox.
Patrols spawn more often with more players, but that's the only difference.
And apparently they are adding weapon with silencers soon!

And not only that, look at the extraction, when you play solo, it's normal to end up with little time left when it's over and the aircraft arrives. The difference in not requesting extraction yourself is that hordes of alerted enemies won't come after you; there will still be patrols, but they won't know about you. If you play in a team, you'll surely end up with 10 minutes to spare, which you can either use to explore the map at the risk of surviving, or you can simply wait out that time.
I never even thought of using the jetpack to throw your stratagems further. That is one smart helldiver

@@rambo-cambo3581The CEO has already stated in a video with Drewski that they go based off sight and sound. There is no stealth "Mechanic" per say.
That was a run with one of the "stealth" armors. Decreases detection range by 30% and allows them to drop scan pins on the minimap. It's reasonably easy to use those two features to remain invisible.

It's stuff like this that makes this game feel so special. The way enemies react to sounds and such likely wasn't intentional for a stealth play style but ended up working that way is so cool to me
Tbh stealth with bots is pretty easy on Helldive now. If they add extra stealth stuff, it will just be trivial.

This might be the best Helldivers video on CZcams. It's just so refreshing to see someone solo a max difficulty bot mission, get all the objectives and side activities done, spend zero reinforcements and NOT USE A META LOADOUT. Good work. I'll definitely use this as an inspiration.

i dont wanna burst your bubble, but he is exactly using the meta for stealth playing on bot planets. But anyways, very good gameplay for sure.
@@penguinhacker yeah, they nerfed a "Skill" weapon and now there are way more powerful and brainless options available. Now even a mid player like me can solo higher levels without real problems. I couldnt do that before. If that was their intention, well, it worked. And im glad. The nerf was stupid anyway and for no reason at all.
@sethael1741 I dont think you understand what meta is when you use it. Thats the *optimal* loadout for stealth. Overall meta in the game is anything BUT stealth and we both know that. Meta is what majority do. Stealth players are a minority. Thats what we call off meta, or breaking the meta.
I found the real scout sniper. He crawled on his stomach for miles and evaded most patrols. Excellent shit right here
I love watching solo players like this in action. It so cool seeing very strategic movement and imagining these Helldivers being sent down alone because they are THAT GOOD. Also LOVE the hit-and-run tactics. Everything about this video is so cool to watch!!!!
A single Helldiver surviving a difficult mission is on its own an identifier of a beyond elite soldier

I've seen videos of dudes telling people what loadouts to use, what to do in a stealth style game mode, but none have I seen them actually go into action with no commentary and simply showing HOW they go about doing it. This video is great, and has inspired me to want to try doing a Hell9 dive stealth run again.
I wish this game had legitimate silenced weapons for full on spec ops style stealth runs. You made this look effortless.

Been redeployed from the Eastern Front, straight to the Creek. Luckily had some experienced divers along with me and we got that inter continental democracy missile launched no issues. Learned a lot about fighting the clankers too.

most versatile gun in the game. it can snipe, single shot reload which means you can always top it off, can open containers, can remove fences if aimed at the right spot, can one-shot a lot of enemies and penetrate medium armor at the right angle.

@@shockingboring_ yeah i mained the Slugger for a long time, even before the Breaker nerf pushed more people to it. Sickle is my go to these days - it doesn't have any of the upsides you mentioned for the Slugger, but it's my new shiny toy and it melts little bots. And no ammo requirement is great
I need to see an entire squad playing like this some time. I'd love to see how quickly a squad of four could all-clear a map with no deaths playing like this in an organized way.

one single time, just one single time in my over 200 hours of playing, did I get a rando match of like-minded individuals who also played like this, avoidant, evasive, etc
I love the idea of guerilla style operatives sneaking behind enemy lines and sabotaging their supply lines and outposts so the other Helldivers can do head on assualts
(6:45 onward) That jammed sound bug (caused by having the stratagem window open when any stratagem goes from jammed to unjammed) can be fixed by opening and closing the stratagem window while your stratagems are jammed. Figured I'd mention because it annoys the hell out of me when I get it and took me a while to figure out.
These kinds of runs I’d bet will become more commonplace once we get suppressed weapons, like that one suppressed AR that got leaked some time ago. Still - super impressive stuff here!

Good to see another stealth player out there, I recently saw the great use of the jump pack lately and have been quite enjoying it with my arc trooper build.

Any tips for someone wanting to pick up the play style? The video is cool and all, but it’s hard to pick apart the actual strats besides “don’t get seen”
@@iamFulky For me I don't go full stealth, but I mostly just barge in destroy and run away. Then again sometimes you can just creep in and one and done it with a cup of liber tea.
My usual build was eagle strike, pop one in and you can destroy most of the small to medium one in one swoop if you work the angles. For the bigger bases I'd have my autocannon and laser strike. You pop off the turrets first and then throw the lazer. That almost garantees a full base down in 20 or so seconds. The turrets are easy to shoot down, three shots with the autocannon and voila, with a bit of practice you can get the two tower base ones. The heavy base with hulks is a bit trickier but you can usually laser strike, then eagle the rest. That way you rarely get stuck in combat.
The only time you'll need to get your hands dirty is when taking objective, but those tend to go well with just one eagle strike to clear a big hole and just shoot the rest. Autocannon for devastators, walkers and bezerkers while in my case I used the smg on semi to pop accurate headshots one after another.
When you get to extraction if you have the trailblazer or any of the 30% less detection range armor you can call the drop ship, then put yourself across the path of the group that will run to the beacon. Put yourself at the edge of the range and just let the timer run. That way you don't need to wait the full mission timer like this video if you're quick enough.
So build wise it would be smg, any secondary, and normal nades.
Eagle strike, orbital laser, autocannon and for the fourth its up to you. I usually went with autogun sentry for distraction and to break hulks, but you can switch it out with jump pack. Jump packs make stealth extract easy because you can plop yourself on higher terrain and they'll mostly never see you.
@@francois9018 if you go jumpack you'll lose the AC ammo pack though, no?
So the jump pack is just for when you want to extract.You can also replace the autocannon with the anti material, but the auto can help you deal with hulks when they show up and if you have to deal with them.
You can also use the timing for drops to just ressuply your autocannon since technically you shouldn't be firing it too much.@@InfiniteStates
@@iamFulky using scout armor let's you move faster and reduce detection. also let's your pins on the map show enemies nearby it.
the augment is increased radar range of the player,
constantly checking map to know where enemies are helps you both from avoiding patrols but also
identify where everyone is when approaching an area so you can dispose of the smaller enemies all at once so they can't call for reinforcement. eventually you'll memorize formations when placing pins on red zones to know what each one is.
for weapons and pack is actually irrelevant since what you need depends on preference and dependability. shotguns probably less reliable as range is key to snipe smaller fry or have something for other enemies that will get in your way like the striders in the video.
stratgems save time to wipe an area ect and the rest is having game knowledge if enemies and outposts to be mute efficient. hope that helps

Easily an instant sub and like. I appreciate the awareness and methodical approach to clearing the outposts and completing the mission. Also big fan of using the jetpack + anti-material rifle combo, the latter sometimes seems to be severely underappreciated by the community.
Couldn't agree more about the Anti material Rifle. I run this thing the exact same way Sarge does. Although I use it more as a sniper than anti armor. The marksman rifles just seem to lack what I would prefer for stealth

@richardkern112 the armor he's using? I believe that's the marksman helmet, helmet doesn't matter btw, and the torso I believe is the first light armor of the BP which gives you a reduced signature and makes it more difficult for enemies to find you. I believe he's also running the boost that says it limits your next enemy encounter or something like that from the newest BP.

Great run. This was very enjoyable to watch. At some points I thought you'd be toast but you handled the bots very nicely. A tip though, you can throw grenades through bot factory doors to blow them up as well. For situations like 14:50 to 15:00, you can toss it and just get out of there quicker. Saves a bit of aim since its a bigger opening.
A quick note, while that is true, if a bot walks out of the factory while you throw, the grenade can launch of the bot. So you have to aim at the top edges of the open door, if it's not sure if a bot can spawn.

Sometimes there is a visual bug, doors appear to be open and while they're glowing like opened, they still play opening animation. It is safer to just toss grenades into vents, though it is possible to destroy fabricators that way
