@@Sarge94 Must be some kind of bug that's blocking them from exiting, you can hear a thumping noise as you get close, it's happened to me as well.
I agree, wtf is this shit? using concealment cheats or some bs. I step on a twig and I get an immediate flare then hulk just runs me down from a mile away even when I'm hidden.
@@jingle2534 Exactly. As soon as i heard the noise i got ready to shoot, but it didn't come out. Maybe there's a unit cap? Notice that it finally exited the facility when i took out those 2 guards.

I’m a twin dad with a 3rd boy on the way and I play this game. Definitely not as good as this guy, but still. It just takes some time. And even then I barely get like a mission in lol.
@Suhayl_Khatib I feel ya mate. I get tops 1.5 missions done. Only reason I got to helldive difficulty was getting lucky on PUG groups on their last mission of an area.

41 kills with single air strike at 36:15 is actually crazy
He caught the bots in the bug where they all collect on the center of the map. Part of the bug is that they all pack in tighter, making AoE attacks more effective.
@@mawnkey also they're all small bots who'll die to even the outer fringes of the airstrike's splash. I love how arrowhead still hasn't acknowledged this as a bug. Either Joel's helping us out for once or it's actually intended that the bots randomly get brain damage and get lost in the middle of the map

Really nice run. Just noticed a few times that the fabricator doors opened when you’re near them. While you can’t shoot the bolts into bug holes or the vents, shooting the open door with a crossbow bolt will explode the fabricators. At least that was my experience. Cheers!

Using a hellbomb from the other side of an entire mountain from a Bunker to destroy it when I can't get it to work from 10 meters away sometimes with a hill in the way...
That has to be unintentional, lol. Interesting to see the explosive crossbow not making as much noise with proper use as it seems though - it always in my hands seemed to attract enemies faster, but I also don't tend to do solo Helldive missions. Not because I can't do them - I just find running away from enemies solo all day to be a bit bland.

Explosions are pretty noticeable, if you aren't careful the bots will find you because they know you're there, but not where you are. However, if you hit an enemy without killing, all of them know where you are immediately

So many people are complaining about things about the crossbow that no other primary does like I saw someone make a video saying it’s bad because it doesn’t 1 shot hive guards and broodcommanders as if any other primary does that

It's takes a whole clip or more.. watch Takibo's latest video. He does not stop shooting the entire game with the crossbow cause he just could not kill the enemies fast enough with it before more spawned. Crossbow is dog.
@@SerbianMilkEnjoyer I think it's because basically everyone will have used the eruptor before using the crossbow, and in those instances the eruptor performs better while also closing holes and fabis, and one shotting gunships. The crossbow certainly has a use, it just feels like it does less damage even though the stat sheet would lead you to believe it'd be better. If it could close, while also being one handed it'd be a much better primary.
I love this, because I was playing 2 days ago and randomly found one on the ground. I was surprised, but thought it was from one of the other 3 Warbonds I haven't gotten to.

I've never had outposts and seccondaries so devoid of enemies. gunship an jammer had like 3 troopers and the radar had none. I can only wish for that
I pray for outposts guarded by Scouts rather than Heavys and Rocket Devs
This type of stuff is like half my games past the 10 minute mark. I mostly do hit and run, just like this. My best guess for now is that there's a unit cap and eventually the game stops throwing new enemies at you because of the already existing ones. What's your playstyle if you don't mind me asking?
@Sarge94 I prefer to play like the video. Hit and Run. Tactile approach. Avoid unnecessary conflict. Use cover and long range.
But when playing with Randoms, it's almost impossible. If I have one buddy to play with, we can dominate level 7s, and it's super fun. But a random 4 stack - I find the other players create far more large gunfights and 3 ship botdrops than necessary.

Trust me, this guy makes it look like a breeze. But when I try it, I can barely move from one place to another what with the huge amount of patrols I seem to encounter. And I'm not even attempting solo stealth on 9. I tried on 3 and still got screwed over.
Wow. No wonder that was quite stealth with Crossbow and Sniper too. Great skills I'm very impressive.
In case you weren't aware, the crossbow can supposedly pierce the walls of automaton replicators, so a single shot anywhere on it *should* blow it up instantly. However, I think I saw this from leaked footage, so don't take my word for it. Could have been a feature that has since been removed. Also, this has convinced me to try using the 380mm more.

Well done, sir. I see that you're using the grenade pistol. Can you use those grenades to destroy fabricators? If so, then wouldn't stun grenades help you get away should the Bots notice you?
Technically you can, but in practice they're pretty inconsistent. Or i just need to learn how to aim with those lol

Excellent work! Looks like you need a couple of more difficulty lvls added to the game. Nice to see the crossbow getting some love. I think switchable ammo would be nice. AP silent arrows, exloding like current ant maybe corosive? Swich ammo like fireing speed on other guns...

I never used the Jump Pack other than to try it out; I found it lack luster and a bit selfish. I even rebound my keys that functionally made it unusable as a side effect. But I do enjoy the Explodie Bow greatly and watching this has inspired me to try this stealth build out, and take the Jump Pack through its paces again. GG.

I'm still trying to understand how enemy spawns work. I had runs that prioritized devastators as well as runs that prioritzed striders. Maybe it's just RNG?
At the beginning i think i just got lucky and didn't run into them. In most of my runs i usually see a patrol within the first 2 minutes. The game loves to put you in combat asap. But later on i think they got bugged cuz of the bot army, it seems like theres a unit cap per map. Notice that as soon as i destroyed them, new units started to appear.

I often like explosives myself and would use my auto cannon to blast me back while back diving sometimes in a bad situation. Now for some reason it and other explosives are SSUCKING ME IN to the EXPLOSION! The devs messed up something that actually really matters to me this time. Explosives blowing a user backward, not sucking them in. It kills some of the best fun and vibe about the game. The physics immersing you into the fun and what you can do with them.
Beautiful, i would love a more Stealth-heavy mechanic, but since its not a Stealth-game i dont think it will ever be implemented. Like a Pacifist-run
For me crossbow is so satisfying to use. I think I'll put some time to try master it, though, it might be hard to replace my beloved scorcher

I was like "no way, crossbow sucks against bots"
Well i guess i learned a couple of tips. Crossbow doesnt make a noise while it fires (except the explosion where the shot lands). So virtually you are undetectable while firing though the bots will know somethings up. Plan it right and act fast enough, they literally wont know what hit them
Same with the Autocannon. They're alerted towards where the bullet lands instead of where it was shot from.
After seeing one of these I tried doing it. Dude. WAY harder than it looks.

Why were there no enemy troops at the Radar station (26:20)? Whenever I come across this tactical asset, there’s always multiple enemy units stationed there, and usually several patrols come marching through while I realign the dish.
If you make noise in a certain area, bots may leave their outposts in order to help the ones attacked. Happens quite often during long runs.
I'd imagine the bots are terrified of Helldivers. Just imagine you're chilling at a heavy outpost thinking they'd have to be insane to try and take it and then in a matter of seconds every building is exploding and all of your socialist robot friends are dead and all you see is a guy running away with a jet pack and a crossbow.
That HE barrage tho!

Pretty high, as long as deathless is not one of the goals.
Enemy spawns don't really matter, since i always try to avoid combat or outrun them. Bots are really slow.
Nope, i call it the fake rock, it only has supplies. I saw the real one during the run but don't remember when exactly. I'm maxed out on supers tho so i ignored it anyway 😂

How is it you are not constantly running into patrols that "just happens to be" walking in the direction you are currently at? It is just constant for me, and I'm also using localized confusion. I guess good luck makes the vid that much more fun to watch. Always good stuff - thanks for sharing!

I'd give up the AMR and replace the crossbow with scorcher, as it would leave me extremely vulnerable to gunships.
I've been so used to crawling the creek that stealthing on other planets is HARDER for me, but this has given me more than a few tips! Thanks, keep spreadin' Democracy!

Fighting them alone is risky, if they get you once you may end up in a loop of deaths. I usually try to just disengage while having some solid cover in between me and the strider. But if things go south lasers and airstrikes work as well ;)

I’m obviously not the person you asked, but I regularly use the AMR in stealth play so I may be able to give some insight. The AMR has two main purposes when used for stealth. The first is killing the big stuff that your primary and secondary can’t handle, and the second is landing some absolutely nasty long range snipes. The AMR is unnecessarily loud, and I wish it were on par with a standard primary in that regard, but it frees up the backpack slot and has a misaligned but consistent scope, meaning that as long as you’re far enough away from any enemies, you can remove major threats at range without being detected while keeping the utility of any backpack you may be wearing. There is also a seldom-useful tertiary role the AMR fills, and that is destroying mortar/AA emplacements. Typically you’d grenade, EAT, or otherwise explode them, but the AMR can take them out in just under a mag with vent shots. Same goes for tanks and cannon turrets. There are some missions where I never fire my AMR once, and others where I need to refill its ammo more than my primary and secondary combined. If only I could use it without alerting every enemy in a 70m radius…

In this case i took the AMR mostly for hulks and gunships, as the crossbow sucks against them. It can be used for stealth takedowns tho. Maybe the guards you engaged were too close to other guards and alerted them?
@@bluemew6457 i had no clue about the 70m radius, thanks for sharing this info. Maybe that's why i was succesful with stealth takedowns, i always put the scope on max zoom and snipe from afar.
@@Sarge94 it’s rather inconsistent, as I’ve had enemies be oblivious to shots that were closer, but 70m seems to be the range where you’re guaranteed to be unheard. Also I wish the scope zoomed more. They give us a 200m scope and proceed to make it zoom so little that hitting headshots at 100m is only possible with tons of practice.

The enemies are drawn to the location of the bolt where it explodes rather than the location the shot originated from.
Did they buff the gunships engine armor? I feel like it used to only take two hits.

Yeah, hellbombs need a rework. They're really inconsistent, especially the calling balls. Found this trick by accident, but it doesn't work on every layout, or at least i haven't found the sweet spots on the other ones.
How do you show enemies on your map near dropped pins? Is it a stratagem or something? I've done some googling and come up with nothing.

Should I assume you have the ship module to reduce the grouping on the volleys?
I have it, but some people where saying it's bugged and the upgrade doesn't work. Might be true cuz the other upgrade for support weapons did nothing at launch.

Scout armor can identify POIs on the minimap when you cursor over them. Try to find the rock on the minimap if you can (it'll say that it's a minor place)

Yeah I just unlocked to turret resistance to explosions... They still die from 1 single rocket. And ammo doesn't work for sure, they still give half. Not sure how to prove about the other upgrades.

I usually go for the 380 in longer missions cuz it has unlimited uses.
barrage- for big automaton compounds and factories
laser- for big automaton crowds that have big automatons in them 👍

Are you able to pull stealth games off like this consistently? Or is it luck of the draw? What I mean is, do you have multiple stealth games that don't turn out this well or turn to shit? Anytime I try stealth, I constantly get plagued by random patrols and hyper alert and aggressive enemies. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I try to stealth and do all the tips and tricks shown here, but I just seem to fail or get really unlucky. I once had bot drops randomly dropping for no reason. No flares or aggro.
It depends on many factors, but can be pretty consistent, especially if you don't care about deathless runs.
I really don't get why they removed the crossbow's ability to take down fabricators. I really don't see a reason to use this over the Vulcan bolt action rifle. It can do everithing the same plus it's more accurate, bullets are faster, you don't have to deal with bullet drop, it takes down armored targets easier and it can take down fabricators with two well placed shots in the vents. the only drawback you get is a heavy AF weapon. Am I missing something ? Maybe it would be better against bugs. Just disapointed they removed this.

It was pretty weird this time, not gonna lie. It spawned right before the hellbomb went off. Anyways, AMR does really well against them, just a few shots to the engine.
@@Sarge94 Yeah, I know, I routinely play stealth with an autocannon. Still odd though, though I'll never complain when I hear that noise meaning it's mis-spawning them.
@@Ciaranosp i think there's a unit cap that causes this to happen. If you keep running away from fights, the game will eventually stop spawning new enemies because of the already existing ones. Notice that the gunship eventually spawned, but only after i dispatched some bots. That would also explain why patrols don't bother me during extraction when the bot army is present.

Interesting, so with the Xbow, enemies cannot deduce your firing direction. They can only investigate where the bolt landed.
