- Basic tutorial on 3 pass MIG fillet weld.
I would not recommend this technique for material over 1/4 unless its a non structural application.

Beautiful passes brother steady hand beautiful swirls , all three amazing to watch. I’m sure you get paid what you’re worth. If you don’t , demand it.
Thank you for the illustration and instruction.
Another good one if you have an oxy welder or torch pre heating helps laying the dimes and burn quicker it can also help with pentretation depending on prep
Well done, I am looking into making a lite duty steel bumper with a hoop for my pickup, would like to see how you would fab something like that for a reference
Nice !!!!! Looks good
Thank you!
I like the vid f the haters. Lol you’re gonna get a lot of old losers out here in the comments talking down when you are trying to share some info. And they’ll be the first ones talking about no younger people wanna do these jobs no more but not helping the situation.
Do one doing pulse spray or just spray arc.
And a good tip put a small tack at the beginning and burn it through a lil when you start it'll be golden trust
And for tee welds tack the sides rather than the front
Gracias
Honestly I'll do forward back motion than hold a lil when I go back I don't remember my set up in terms of gas and current but it works I'm sure I used high heat the cuz it takes me like 20 seconds on a 4 inch long tee weld
That’s called whip and pause. Go forward then pause let it build some then drag back to create the dime
How long did it take for you to be able to weld this way? How many hours?
Most of my students can have a good understanding of this technique in about 20 hours of practice
Everyone is different.... if you WANT to learn and if you are "HUNGRY" you can pick this up in 2 or 3 days in class.... even SMAW is very easy IF you WANT to learn.
Just put ur hood on and practice, practice, practice, practice, practice
@@Music.cigars.2024 I agree if you really want it you will make changes until you get it perfect

What helmet is that ??? I have Lincoln Viking and I can't get it so I can see like that
I’m actually using a shade 5 lense over my iPhone. I have now switched to my Cannon camera for videos.
The new 4c technology is the best when it comes to Lincoln’s hoods
@@relentlesswelding15 thanks Tom . I have that same helmet . but for the life of me it doesn't look like that . I tried different settings also . I see better when I use gas but flxcore doesn't come close .
@@direct998 are you using a clean cover lense? That can cause a lot of issues. The older Vikings had more of a green tint to them while the newer ones are a clear blue. I try really hard to get the focus in the videos
@@relentlesswelding15 mine is the new one . I'll change the lens to see if it improves .on your video I can see right where you're going the arc isn't so bright that you could see everything clearly .

J wheave my bro, hot and fast
good video ill never weld like this but hey always good to fuck around when you have nothing to do in the shop
Definitely fun to do on projects with thin metals. Not for serious applications joining thicker members
Gotta be honest. This looks extremely cold and would not hold up to structural tests
Never said it would
@@relentlesswelding15 fair. But it might be better for people to know. Definitely looks pretty though
Pretty certain at the end of the video and in the description I say that. I’m gonna make videos on welding hot and heavy. Proper structural welding with pulse and spray.
@@relentlesswelding15 alright awesome. Sorry, must've been watching without sound
@@theuniversalbean9352 no problem Ive gotten a lot of hate for this one but with hate comes views!
Let me know if you would like any other videos
No penetration I bet, it’s ok to show beginners I suppose but I would like to see a macro or nick break but keep welding and learning
Dude he got plenty of penetration
Looks Like Slag and Toenails Is What I See And The T.I.G. Welders I Know Don't Weld Like That. Theirs Are Alot Smoother and Slick As Fook. Keep Practicing.
Too bad there isn’t slag with in MIG welding otherwise I’d give ya something
@@relentlesswelding15 so what do you call that crap between the toenails and your stack of dimes? LMFAO
@@peetydontpass8309 toe nails are for feet buddy. Idk maybe silicon deposits that come off of my ER 70s-2 filler metal.
@@peetydontpass8309 toenails? Slag in mig welds? The welders you know are most likely the ones on CZcams
I've taken over 45 welding test since i finished welding school. And i can honestly say that here in texas there are assholes that will fail you if you "stack dimes" like that... their excuse for failing the test is " we prefer you to lay stringers than dimes.... so please learn as much different ways to weld cause there are dick heads who fail you just cause you dont weld like they like it......
Yes this is nice, it works, it passes non destructive and destructive test but still, learn as many different ways as possible to avoid the hassles later
Pretty much showing the technique so people can practice. Very similar to how most motor sports and off-road performance chassis and vehicles are welded. Always follow your wps if it is given to you.
Stringer gives more penetration than any weave and that's what REAL jobs want.
My first job would only pay you more if you gave them dimes for some reason, so you can imagine my shock when I went to change and every other better job wanted stringer beads lmao.
5 years in the industry now, and working structural stuff with MIG and Stick and I almost always stringer unless I have a big multipass gap I gotta fill
Some people want looks, some want stringers, it's best to practice both especially if you start your own business, as people who know nothing about welding will pay premium for nice welds over strong welds.
To be fair, looking at this video these welds clearly were not penetrating. The arc wasn't even touching the plates half the time.
Hello sir 🙏 call
Looks like poop
If that looks like poop, mine looks like diarrhea.
Let’s see your then :)
