No dumplings were harmed in this production. I ate them all.
This video is inspired by my first day in school Ireland after immigrating at 8 years old.
In China we've never heard of the concept of "Bringing lunch to school" so she packed me an entire 4-tier insulated thermos with soup, rice, meat and Greens. It would have taken up the literal entire lunch table to lay out. I was embarrassed.

That was me back in school, especially high school my backpack had a big front pouch that I used exclusively for my food, I would have a full thermos of sweet tea, a bottle of milk or juice, leftovers, a couple side dishes, some snacks, fruit, and desert plus my after school nibbles and my infamous candy stash. Seeing a new person at lunch was always fun, the reactions to the scrawny girl unloading a seemingly endless lunch was always so amusing made my day every time

He is on the way to the school now (walking uphill both ways while fighting ninja tigers with nunchucks) to yell at him for being a failure, and give him a bigger bag of food from Mom.

I think this is fairly accurate for me growing up. Sometimes my parents went overboard and sometimes not so much. Now, we do that for my son with dumplings, noodles...etc.
