I work with handicap mobility here in the US as a hobby out of my home garage. I have found that if I turn the scooter on its side and spray the end of the axle like you did with WD40 and let it sit for a few minutes the wheel comes right off. Also, I put a lite coat of grease ON the axles and keyway area to prevent and/or stop the "clicking" that is sometimes heard coming from the back wheels.
Wow, great demo. This is exactly what’s wrong with my maxima XL. Can you tell me approximately how much that repair should be. I doubt I could get the parts here very easily.

I bought a drive scout 4 new 5 years ago. Only used it about 20 times going to the dr. I’m getting 5 beeps, I brought it in the house from the car I put it in drive and it worked for a minute. I’ve got 26 volts. Opened up the floor plate to check voltage regulator, I’ve got 26 volts on the red and black. When I check the volts coming off the regulator I had some at first when I pulled the forward and reverse handle and it did move only for a short time and it quit. Is there anyway I can know for sure if it’s the brake or the regulator. Thanks in advance and also where I could get the parts
I had my motor out of my scooter to repair broken brushes. After I reassembled it, the brake is not holding on a slope when I stop. Is there a tension screw or something to adjust, or is it a new brake unit needed?
We have a Zero Turn radius 2 motor pride scooter that is displaying the 5 flash motor brake code. Randomly the code flashes and can be reset by moving the freewheel selector levers off and back on. Often this will "fix" the problem, but a few minutes later the same error repeats. I did see a bare wire where the wires pass thru the seat post tube and placed electrical tape around each wire. This seemed to help for a couple of weeks, but has returned. Are there any adjustments to be made in the brake cartridge?
I have a Pride Legend, while I was riding it,it kept going out but I would turn key off & on & it would run again.Then one day it didn't, Lucky I was only 1 mile from home so I pushed it home.All the power was on - lights,horn, everything but it wouldn't go.Can you help me I need it for transportation, going shopping, to the store etc, especially my doctors appointments at the VA hospital,I'm on social security so I can't afford a new one or to get it fixed.would you have any ideas and tell me how to fix it? thx. Would you have any idea why on my shoprider scooter the battery shows full, after a minute or two the indicates start to go down, it looses speed, but after releasing the wig wag drive just a few seconds the battery indicator comes back near the full mark but then it happens all again.🤔🤔
check to see if your brake is hot that will cause a current draw... also how old are your batteries ... check all connections to and from the battery including circuit breaker terminals
@@tomjacques4 Hello Mr Magic, I did what you are often saying about batteries, but didn’t know what else to do because of a number of problems arising on the two scooters, ironically they are almost both the same, so bought two batteries but only partially helped on one scooter but didn’t cure all problems, I have replaced the tiller control, that helped, I have ordered two reset units, replaced the speed control and wig wag. The motors are not getting hot at all, only thing I don’t think I have replaced is the control unit, motor, and break unit, so as you can see the Grrrrr’s are in the wind.🤔😊😊
@@tomjacques4 Hi again, the batteries are 12months old I bought new batteries for both shopriders, their voltage reading. Is good , after looking at your video regarding a fault of circuit breakers I ordered two to see if it makes any difference. Would the control box have any thing in it that could be any related problem. I bought them from two different people around 12 months ago, and seems ironic that both scooters have similar related problems. To add to my problems my car has broken twice in two weeks with the Same Electrical problem as the first time. 🥵🥵🤔😊
I've Astrid md 4 it was jerkin before it stopped.and 2 lights stasted flashing. I removed the brushes I am writing for them to arrive .6mm x10mmx15mm ?.1 off the brushes springs was broken Thank you for your help
Hi. You and your videos are second to none. I have a problem with a CTM hs740 .code 5 flashes . fitted a new brake 3 months ago . now virtually straight away , not after running for 45minutes, the scooter is really slow ,forwards and backwards. Batteries are good , advice please ,thank you.
Thanks ,but what will that prove ? Not sure I understand . are you saying disconnect the brake from the motor .then test drive the scooter. If full power is achieved, does this tell me that the brake is faulty ? Thank you.
If you check the plastic bit that fits over the motor drive nut, it should turn as well as move around. If you can't turn it with either a bolt head in the hex hole or with a tiny screwdriver in the holes at the edges of the nut, give it a spray with oil or WD40 and work it free. It should then work. It is probably almost seized and that is why the motor is slow. Once it is oiled and back in place, get the wheels off the ground and run the motor at full speed. It may take a while to get speed up as the oil gradually does its work but then it will be ok. No way was I going to replace the unit at around £50 +.
hi Tom john here still got that wiring problem now it's gone to not working at all no reverse or forward power is there every thing else working but got a faint buz from where the hooter and hazard sound comes from all I have done is disconnected all the connectors and put them back again then i ended up with this problem getting fed up with it mite get the big hammer out
if im at a customers and the green light flashes, i go online for the manual for that scooter and it tells me why it flashes one, 2, 3, 4, 5 times etc,
john p yes as long as you have the space you can increase the distance you can travel. Mind you you will not increase power only distance travelled. You can get 50amp batteries in the same size as 45s.

Happy new year. My problem is the wigwam pot ,fast slow . But I also have a noise from rear when it's going on its slow motion once it speeds up again the noise goes.is this all to do with the worn wigwam pot. It's a invacare Orion.Thank you.

Is there a tension screw or something to adjust, or is it a new brake unit needed?
Have you forgotten to tighten the nut on the end of the motor ? Or even to fit it.

Can you repair the motor brake have seacroft just beeps battery seems fine can hear click when pressing throttle
Take the brake off and check to see if the internal disk is moving when you hear the click

The manual brake is only used when it’s in manual mode When you push it

i have TGA VITA MIDI with Error code 9 any ideas what this is as I cannot find an error code sheet anywhere
